Hrvatski kazališni redatelj i pedagog te dugogodišnji ravnatelj dramskog programa Dubrovačkih ljetnih igara Joško Juvančić umro je u srijedu u Dubrovniku u 85. godini, doznaje se od obitelji.

Juvančić je posljednjih mjesec dana bio u dubrovačkoj bolnici iako nije teže bolovao.

Joško Juvančić - Jupa rodio se 1936. godine u Dubrovniku, gdje je završio osnovnu i srednju školu. Diplomirao je književnost na Filozofskom fakultetu te režiju na Akademiji za kazališnu umjetnost u Zagrebu. Nakon završene Akademije najprije postaje asistent Branka Gavelle, a zatim i Koste Spaića, što će uvelike odrediti njegovu budućnost kazališnog pedagoga.

Kao profesor glume, od 1960. do danas Juvančić je presudno utjecao na umjetnički razvoj mnogih danas poznatih i cijenjenih hrvatskih glumaca.

Prve važnije režije Joško Juvančić ostvaruje u dubrovačkom kazalištu („Dubrovački skerac“ Feđe Šehovića 1961., Moliereova „Škola za žene“ 1962.), kojemu će se poslije redovito vraćati postavljajući, među ostalim, djela Držića, Schisgala, Bettija, Obaldije, Euripida, Ostrovskog, De Filippa, Vojnovića i Goldonija.

Široj hrvatskoj javnosti Juvančić se nametnuo sredinom 60-ih, kada u zagrebačkim kazalištima režira nekoliko važnih predstava - od Schisgalovih „Daktilografa“ i „Tigra“ u Teatru &TD, preko Tollerova „Hinkemanna“ i Ghelderodeovih „Škole za lude“ i „Escuriala“ u Gavelli, do Goldonijeva „Velikog smiješnog rata“ u HNK.

Od tada će režirati iznimno mnogo predstava u gotovo svim hrvatskim kazalištima, noseći se podjednako uspješno s klasicima domaće i svjetske dramske književnosti. Osobito su važne njegove postave Držićeva „Plakira iliti Grižule“ i „Dunda Maroja“, Shakespeareova „Sna Ivanjske noći“, Vojnovićeve „Dubrovačke trilogije“, Vetranovićeva „Kako bratja prodaše Jozefa“ i crkvenog prikazanja „Ecce homo“ na Dubrovačkome ljetnom festivalu te suvremeni pisci (Bakarić, Brešan, Ionesco, Simone, Cooney), pri čemu su neka od tih uprizorenja - primjerice „Rosencrantz i Guildenstern su mrtvi“ Toma Stopparda u &TD-u (1971.) - postala amblematskom kazališnom oznakom svojeg vremena.

Raznolikost Juvančićevih kazališnih iskustava upotpunjuju i mnoge režije predstava za djecu te režije lutkarskih predstava za djecu i odrasle („Skup“, „Osman“, „San Ivanjske noći“).

Posebno poglavlje njegove profesionalne biografije vezano je uz Dubrovačke ljetne igre/festival, u čijem je umjetničkom vodstvu neprekidno 20-ak godina te od 1986. do 2001. obnaša i dužnost umjetničkog direktora, to jest umjetničkog ravnatelja dramskog programa.

Za svoj umjetnički rad Juvančić je dobio mnoge ugledne nagrade i priznanja, među kojima se ističe nagrada „Vladimir Nazor“ za životno djelo 2000., zatim nagrada „Dubravko Dujšin“ 1982., nekoliko nagrada Hrvatskog društva dramskih umjetnika (Nagrada hrvatskog glumišta za najboljeg redatelja), a u 2016. godini dobio je nagradu Grada Dubrovnika za životno djelo.

U sklopu Dubrovačkih ljetnih igara 2011. godine predstavljena je monografija "Joško Juvančić Jupa".

Hrvatski kazališni redatelj i pedagog te dugogodišnji ravnatelj dramskog programa Dubrovačkih ljetnih igara Joško Juvančić umro je u srijedu u Dubrovniku u 85. godini, doznaje se od obitelji.

Juvančić je posljednjih mjesec dana bio u dubrovačkoj bolnici iako nije teže bolovao.

Joško Juvančić - Jupa rodio se 1936. godine u Dubrovniku, gdje je završio osnovnu i srednju školu. Diplomirao je književnost na Filozofskom fakultetu te režiju na Akademiji za kazališnu umjetnost u Zagrebu. Nakon završene Akademije najprije postaje asistent Branka Gavelle, a zatim i Koste Spaića, što će uvelike odrediti njegovu budućnost kazališnog pedagoga.

Kao profesor glume, od 1960. do danas Juvančić je presudno utjecao na umjetnički razvoj mnogih danas poznatih i cijenjenih hrvatskih glumaca.

Prve važnije režije Joško Juvančić ostvaruje u dubrovačkom kazalištu („Dubrovački skerac“ Feđe Šehovića 1961., Moliereova „Škola za žene“ 1962.), kojemu će se poslije redovito vraćati postavljajući, među ostalim, djela Držića, Schisgala, Bettija, Obaldije, Euripida, Ostrovskog, De Filippa, Vojnovića i Goldonija.

Široj hrvatskoj javnosti Juvančić se nametnuo sredinom 60-ih, kada u zagrebačkim kazalištima režira nekoliko važnih predstava - od Schisgalovih „Daktilografa“ i „Tigra“ u Teatru &TD, preko Tollerova „Hinkemanna“ i Ghelderodeovih „Škole za lude“ i „Escuriala“ u Gavelli, do Goldonijeva „Velikog smiješnog rata“ u HNK.

Od tada će režirati iznimno mnogo predstava u gotovo svim hrvatskim kazalištima, noseći se podjednako uspješno s klasicima domaće i svjetske dramske književnosti. Osobito su važne njegove postave Držićeva „Plakira iliti Grižule“ i „Dunda Maroja“, Shakespeareova „Sna Ivanjske noći“, Vojnovićeve „Dubrovačke trilogije“, Vetranovićeva „Kako bratja prodaše Jozefa“ i crkvenog prikazanja „Ecce homo“ na Dubrovačkome ljetnom festivalu te suvremeni pisci (Bakarić, Brešan, Ionesco, Simone, Cooney), pri čemu su neka od tih uprizorenja - primjerice „Rosencrantz i Guildenstern su mrtvi“ Toma Stopparda u &TD-u (1971.) - postala amblematskom kazališnom oznakom svojeg vremena.

Raznolikost Juvančićevih kazališnih iskustava upotpunjuju i mnoge režije predstava za djecu te režije lutkarskih predstava za djecu i odrasle („Skup“, „Osman“, „San Ivanjske noći“).

Posebno poglavlje njegove profesionalne biografije vezano je uz Dubrovačke ljetne igre/festival, u čijem je umjetničkom vodstvu neprekidno 20-ak godina te od 1986. do 2001. obnaša i dužnost umjetničkog direktora, to jest umjetničkog ravnatelja dramskog programa.

Za svoj umjetnički rad Juvančić je dobio mnoge ugledne nagrade i priznanja, među kojima se ističe nagrada „Vladimir Nazor“ za životno djelo 2000., zatim nagrada „Dubravko Dujšin“ 1982., nekoliko nagrada Hrvatskog društva dramskih umjetnika (Nagrada hrvatskog glumišta za najboljeg redatelja), a u 2016. godini dobio je nagradu Grada Dubrovnika za životno djelo.

U sklopu Dubrovačkih ljetnih igara 2011. godine predstavljena je monografija "Joško Juvančić Jupa".

Napustio nas je Joško Juvančić, jedan od najvećih hrvatskih režisera

Hrvatski kazališni redatelj i pedagog te dugogodišnji ravnatelj dramskog programa Dubrovačkih ljetnih igara Joško Juvančić umro je u srijedu u Dubrovniku u 85. godini, doznaje se od obitelji.

Juvančić je posljednjih mjesec dana bio u dubrovačkoj bolnici iako nije teže bolovao.

Joško Juvančić - Jupa rodio se 1936. godine u Dubrovniku, gdje je završio osnovnu i srednju školu. Diplomirao je književnost na Filozofskom fakultetu te režiju na Akademiji za kazališnu umjetnost u Zagrebu. Nakon završene Akademije najprije postaje asistent Branka Gavelle, a zatim i Koste Spaića, što će uvelike odrediti njegovu budućnost kazališnog pedagoga.

Kao profesor glume, od 1960. do danas Juvančić je presudno utjecao na umjetnički razvoj mnogih danas poznatih i cijenjenih hrvatskih...
