Svi znaju za snimku seksa bujne glumice/"Playboyeve" zečice Pamele Anderson ("Baywatch", "Barb Wire") i divljeg rokera-bubnjara Tommyja Leeja (Motley Crue) iz sredine devedesetih, točnije 1995., neovisno o tome jesu li je gledali ili samo za nju čuli.

Bio je to jedan od najvećih "celebrity" skandala u povijesti koji je izbio u zoru masovne popularnosti interneta, potenciravši modernu tabloidizaciju medija i invaziju na privatnost, ali i javni odnos između hollywoodskih zvijezda i običnih ljudi, sve opsjednutijih životima slavnih.

Je li serija o snimki seksa Pamele i Tommyja (Lily James, Sebastian Stan) jedan oblik tabloidizacije tzv. prestižne televizije, tj. nove invazije na privatnost njihovih aktera kojima bi mogla otvoriti stare rane? Dijelom i jest.

"Ovo je tako osobno, kao da gledamo nešto što ne bismo trebali", govori pornofilmaš Uncle Miltie (Nick Offerman) kad baci oko na sadržaj vrpce koju je slavnom paru ukrao tesar Rand Gauthier (Seth Rogen), no to ih neće spriječiti da snimku puste u javnost i od nje financijski profitiraju.

Huluova serija "Pam & Tommy" tipuje na skandaloznost i gotovo je eksplicitna kao sama snimka seksa, s multiplim scenama golih grudi i penisa koje će podjednako dizati prašinu i gledanost, uparene s audovizualno zaraznom režijom Craiga Gillespieja ("Ja, Tonya", "Cruella", "Physical") i iznimno uvjerljivom transformacijom glavnih glumaca, naročito sjajne James.

Ipak, sudeći po prve tri epizode serija balansira između senzacije i nekakve javne apologije, tj. (žanrovski) crne komedije, drame, romanse i biografije.

Pritom, trenutno, bolje prolazi Anderson: uz veliku pomoć James, serija prema njoj pokazuje respekt i ne portretira je samo kroz medijsku sliku seksualne fantazije/praznoglave plavuše, već kao stvarnu osobu/ljudsko biće koje želi da je shvate ozbiljno kao glumicu i ne izbacuju joj monologe iz "Spasilačke službe" nauštrb trčanja po plaži i skakanja u more.

S druge strane, iako se uživljeni Stan trudi i uspijeva načiniti ga dopadljivim, Lee zasad ispada blaga karikatura, prikazan kao ocvali metalac osamdesetih u eri grungea koji još uvijek ponajprije razmišlja "donjom glavom", zbog čega valjda imamo prilično grotesknu, bizarnu scenu njegova razgovora s (prostetičkim) penisom, snimljenim u krupnom planu, oko toga je li Pamela seksepilnija od Denise Richards, buduće zvijezde "Svemirskih marinaca" i "Divlje igre".

Tommy se ponaša kao primadona i svako malo mijenja planove oko konstrukcije njegova "ljubavnog gnijezda" s Pamelom, maltretirajući radnike poput Gauthiera kojemu na kraju daje otkaz, što u ovome budi želju za osvetom.

Gauthier je glavni lik prve epizode, moguće i zato što je Rogen jedan od izvršnih producenata, a ostaje važan i u iduće dvije, jednako kao Anderson i Lee, ako ne i više, toliko da se može učiniti kako su autori pogriješili naslov i da se serija trebala zvati "Pam i Tommy i Rand".

Gledatelj jedva čeka da se fokus prebaci na Pamelu i Tommyja u lako gledljivoj i potentnoj, ali i neujednačenoj seriji. Tko je ukrao snimku seksa i sama krađa vrpce ne bi trebali biti bitniji od njezinih aktera u seriji nazvanoj "Pam & Tommy", a nakon prve tri epizode tako stoje stvari.

Autori su, ako žele ići u tom smjeru, mogli onda seriju nasloviti "Sex Tape" ili nešto slično, budući da već postoji film s tim naslovom (Cameron Diaz, Jason Segel). Možda "Pamela's Sex Video"?

Svi znaju za snimku seksa bujne glumice/"Playboyeve" zečice Pamele Anderson ("Baywatch", "Barb Wire") i divljeg rokera-bubnjara Tommyja Leeja (Motley Crue) iz sredine devedesetih, točnije 1995., neovisno o tome jesu li je gledali ili samo za nju čuli.

Bio je to jedan od najvećih "celebrity" skandala u povijesti koji je izbio u zoru masovne popularnosti interneta, potenciravši modernu tabloidizaciju medija i invaziju na privatnost, ali i javni odnos između hollywoodskih zvijezda i običnih ljudi, sve opsjednutijih životima slavnih.

Je li serija o snimki seksa Pamele i Tommyja (Lily James, Sebastian Stan) jedan oblik tabloidizacije tzv. prestižne televizije, tj. nove invazije na privatnost njihovih aktera kojima bi mogla otvoriti stare rane? Dijelom i jest.

"Ovo je tako osobno, kao da gledamo nešto što ne bismo trebali", govori pornofilmaš Uncle Miltie (Nick Offerman) kad baci oko na sadržaj vrpce koju je slavnom paru ukrao tesar Rand Gauthier (Seth Rogen), no to ih neće spriječiti da snimku puste u javnost i od nje financijski profitiraju.

Huluova serija "Pam & Tommy" tipuje na skandaloznost i gotovo je eksplicitna kao sama snimka seksa, s multiplim scenama golih grudi i penisa koje će podjednako dizati prašinu i gledanost, uparene s audovizualno zaraznom režijom Craiga Gillespieja ("Ja, Tonya", "Cruella", "Physical") i iznimno uvjerljivom transformacijom glavnih glumaca, naročito sjajne James.

Ipak, sudeći po prve tri epizode serija balansira između senzacije i nekakve javne apologije, tj. (žanrovski) crne komedije, drame, romanse i biografije.

Pritom, trenutno, bolje prolazi Anderson: uz veliku pomoć James, serija prema njoj pokazuje respekt i ne portretira je samo kroz medijsku sliku seksualne fantazije/praznoglave plavuše, već kao stvarnu osobu/ljudsko biće koje želi da je shvate ozbiljno kao glumicu i ne izbacuju joj monologe iz "Spasilačke službe" nauštrb trčanja po plaži i skakanja u more.

S druge strane, iako se uživljeni Stan trudi i uspijeva načiniti ga dopadljivim, Lee zasad ispada blaga karikatura, prikazan kao ocvali metalac osamdesetih u eri grungea koji još uvijek ponajprije razmišlja "donjom glavom", zbog čega valjda imamo prilično grotesknu, bizarnu scenu njegova razgovora s (prostetičkim) penisom, snimljenim u krupnom planu, oko toga je li Pamela seksepilnija od Denise Richards, buduće zvijezde "Svemirskih marinaca" i "Divlje igre".

Tommy se ponaša kao primadona i svako malo mijenja planove oko konstrukcije njegova "ljubavnog gnijezda" s Pamelom, maltretirajući radnike poput Gauthiera kojemu na kraju daje otkaz, što u ovome budi želju za osvetom.

Gauthier je glavni lik prve epizode, moguće i zato što je Rogen jedan od izvršnih producenata, a ostaje važan i u iduće dvije, jednako kao Anderson i Lee, ako ne i više, toliko da se može učiniti kako su autori pogriješili naslov i da se serija trebala zvati "Pam i Tommy i Rand".

Gledatelj jedva čeka da se fokus prebaci na Pamelu i Tommyja u lako gledljivoj i potentnoj, ali i neujednačenoj seriji. Tko je ukrao snimku seksa i sama krađa vrpce ne bi trebali biti bitniji od njezinih aktera u seriji nazvanoj "Pam & Tommy", a nakon prve tri epizode tako stoje stvari.

Autori su, ako žele ići u tom smjeru, mogli onda seriju nasloviti "Sex Tape" ili nešto slično, budući da već postoji film s tim naslovom (Cameron Diaz, Jason Segel). Možda "Pamela's Sex Video"?
