Najgori akcijski triler 2021. i najgori film prikazan u hrvatskim kinima? Godina je još mlada, ali "Najduža noć" je ozbiljan kandidat za obje kategorije. Možda bi čovjek mogao biti malo blaži da se "Vanquish" nije pojavio u kinodistribuciju dok na velikim ekranima još uvijek igra "Nobody" kao prilično superioran primjer akcijskog trilera novog milenija.

"Nobody" je akcijski netko i nešto, a "Najduža noć" nitko i ništa, iako nije takva trebala ispasti. Redatelj George Gallo iskalio se kao scenarist dobrih akcijskih komedija "Ponoćna utrka" i "Zločesti dečki", no teško da bi ga netko mogao povezati s njima nakon što pogleda film, kamoli ga zamijeniti za novog Michaela Baya ("Bad Boys"), Luca Bessona ("Nikita"), Davida Leitcha ("Atomic Blonde") ili Chada Stahelskog ("John Wick").

Gallo se pokušava nametnuti kao "bayovski" ili "Bessonovski" meštar stilizirane akcije s vizualno atraktivnom "neonskom" paletom boja i traži neobične rakurse, snimajući, primjerice, neke kadrove u postaji krcatoj pokvarenim policajcima iz perspektive štakora ili hvatajući njihov odraz u zjenici njegova oka.

Međutim, to su usamljeni proplamsajevi kakve-takve kreativnosti uz crno-bijelo otvaranje filma i jednu montažnu kvazi-egzibiciju (širenje oka od šmrkanja koke), a Gallovi pokušaji vizualne estetike akcijskog "neo-noira", od Mannova "Lopova" i "Noćnih jastrebova" Brucea Malmutha preko "Nikite" do "Johna Wicka" i "Atomske plavuše" padaju u vodu zahvaljujući lošem osvjetljenju Anastasa N. Michosa, direktora fotografije koji je znatno bolje snimio "Prvo pročišćenje" i "Praznog čovjeka".

Fotografija u filmu "Vanquish" spada među oku najneugodnije nakon "The Expendables 2" i nedopustiva je čak i za niže standarde direktno-na-video akcića od Brucea Willisa do Dolpha Lundgrena na koje podsjeća u egzekuciji akcije i glumačkim partijama.

Willis začudo nije angažiran, ali zato je tu oskarovac Morgan Freeman koji potencijalno sočnu ulogu pokvarenog policajca Damona, dakle za promjenu negativca, odrađuje s nimalo zainteresiranosti i elana, odavajući dojam da je u filmu samo da udari kintu i pokupi nominaciju za Zlatnu malinu.

Cijela "Najduža noć" je preslik Freemanove glume, odrađena preko neke stvari, na uključenom autopilotu kopiranja slavnijih uzora. Filmu nije išlo u prilog ni to što je pogledan u kinomaratonu netom nakon "Willy's Wonderland" koji je ostavio barem mrvu osobnosti i posvećenosti na ekranu, svježe pospojio žanrovske matrice i bio barem zabavan na ludast način.

"Vanquish" je dosadan i sebe shvaća preozbiljno dok tipuje provući "Nikitu" i "Atomic Blonde" kroz filter "tarantinovskog" akcića-krimića devedesetih s "živopisnim" kriminalcima, pokvarenim policajcima i sličnim karakterima iz žanrovske galerije likova. S takvim likovima će se sresti Victoria (Ruby Rose s frizurom a la Sigourney Weaver u "Alienu 3"), samohrana majka i Damonova njegovateljica.

Kad njezina bolesna kćerka Lily (Juju Journey Brener) ustreba adekvatan i skupocjen liječnički tretman, Damon će, obećava, pomoći Victoriji ako ona za njega odradi poslić tijekom jedne noći u vidu preuzimanja pet (novčanih) paketa na pet lokacija diljem grada.

Victoria je "obećala sebi da se više neće vratiti tom životu" i koristiti svoje "stare vještine" (radila s pokojnim bratom za rusku mafiju), ali prisiljena je na to nakon što je Damon ucjeni otmicom kćerkice i kreće u akciju opasana pištoljima i nosivim kamerama, tako da on vidi što se događa.

Zgodan detalj s nosivim kamerama i nadziranjem ucjenjenog junaka/junakinje dok on(a) izvršava posao od restorana do klubova preuzet je iz filma "Sam protiv mafije" koji spada među slabije DTV akciće Scotta Adkinsa, no u usporedbi s "Najdužom noći" gotovo da je na razini "Umri muški".

Zanimljivo je da je u prvoj sezoni serije "Batwoman" Rose nadgledao sin Freemanova lika iz Nolanova serijala o Batmanu, zanimljivije od samog filma, lišenog osnovnih žanrovskih akcijsko-trilerskih uzbuđenja, zvjezdane karizme heroine i negativca, ugođaja, svega, tijekom Victorijine ubojite noćne odiseje. "Čujem da si ubila više ljudi od Quentina Tarantina", kaže Victoriji jedan diler u neuspjelu pokušaju rekreacije "tarantinovske" scene iz "Kralja pornića" i ponudi je koktelom. Ne, hvala!

Željna statusa akcijske zvijezde

Ruby Rose je najprije primirisala akciji uz provjerene akcijske junake Vina Diesela ("'xXx 3") i Jasona Stathama ("Meg: Predator iz dubina") da bi sama poželjela postati 'action star' ("Batwoman").

Najgori akcijski triler 2021. i najgori film prikazan u hrvatskim kinima? Godina je još mlada, ali "Najduža noć" je ozbiljan kandidat za obje kategorije. Možda bi čovjek mogao biti malo blaži da se "Vanquish" nije pojavio u kinodistribuciju dok na velikim ekranima još uvijek igra "Nobody" kao prilično superioran primjer akcijskog trilera novog milenija.

"Nobody" je akcijski netko i nešto, a "Najduža noć" nitko i ništa, iako nije takva trebala ispasti. Redatelj George Gallo iskalio se kao scenarist dobrih akcijskih komedija "Ponoćna utrka" i "Zločesti dečki", no teško da bi ga netko mogao povezati s njima nakon što pogleda film, kamoli ga zamijeniti za novog Michaela Baya ("Bad Boys"), Luca Bessona ("Nikita"), Davida Leitcha ("Atomic Blonde") ili Chada Stahelskog ("John Wick").

Gallo se pokušava nametnuti kao "bayovski" ili "Bessonovski" meštar stilizirane akcije s vizualno atraktivnom "neonskom" paletom boja i traži neobične rakurse, snimajući, primjerice, neke kadrove u postaji krcatoj pokvarenim policajcima iz perspektive štakora ili hvatajući njihov odraz u zjenici njegova oka.

Međutim, to su usamljeni proplamsajevi kakve-takve kreativnosti uz crno-bijelo otvaranje filma i jednu montažnu kvazi-egzibiciju (širenje oka od šmrkanja koke), a Gallovi pokušaji vizualne estetike akcijskog "neo-noira", od Mannova "Lopova" i "Noćnih jastrebova" Brucea Malmutha preko "Nikite" do "Johna Wicka" i "Atomske plavuše" padaju u vodu zahvaljujući lošem osvjetljenju Anastasa N. Michosa, direktora fotografije koji je znatno bolje snimio "Prvo pročišćenje" i "Praznog čovjeka".

Fotografija u filmu "Vanquish" spada među oku najneugodnije nakon "The Expendables 2" i nedopustiva je čak i za niže standarde direktno-na-video akcića od Brucea Willisa do Dolpha Lundgrena na koje podsjeća u egzekuciji akcije i glumačkim partijama.

Willis začudo nije angažiran, ali zato je tu oskarovac Morgan Freeman koji potencijalno sočnu ulogu pokvarenog policajca Damona, dakle za promjenu negativca, odrađuje s nimalo zainteresiranosti i elana, odavajući dojam da je u filmu samo da udari kintu i pokupi nominaciju za Zlatnu malinu.

Cijela "Najduža noć" je preslik Freemanove glume, odrađena preko neke stvari, na uključenom autopilotu kopiranja slavnijih uzora. Filmu nije išlo u prilog ni to što je pogledan u kinomaratonu netom nakon "Willy's Wonderland" koji je ostavio barem mrvu osobnosti i posvećenosti na ekranu, svježe pospojio žanrovske matrice i bio barem zabavan na ludast način.

"Vanquish" je dosadan i sebe shvaća preozbiljno dok tipuje provući "Nikitu" i "Atomic Blonde" kroz filter "tarantinovskog" akcića-krimića devedesetih s "živopisnim" kriminalcima, pokvarenim policajcima i sličnim karakterima iz žanrovske galerije likova. S takvim likovima će se sresti Victoria (Ruby Rose s frizurom a la Sigourney Weaver u "Alienu 3"), samohrana majka i Damonova njegovateljica.

Kad njezina bolesna kćerka Lily (Juju Journey Brener) ustreba adekvatan i skupocjen liječnički tretman, Damon će, obećava, pomoći Victoriji ako ona za njega odradi poslić tijekom jedne noći u vidu preuzimanja pet (novčanih) paketa na pet lokacija diljem grada.

Victoria je "obećala sebi da se više neće vratiti tom životu" i koristiti svoje "stare vještine" (radila s pokojnim bratom za rusku mafiju), ali prisiljena je na to nakon što je Damon ucjeni otmicom kćerkice i kreće u akciju opasana pištoljima i nosivim kamerama, tako da on vidi što se događa.

Zgodan detalj s nosivim kamerama i nadziranjem ucjenjenog junaka/junakinje dok on(a) izvršava posao od restorana do klubova preuzet je iz filma "Sam protiv mafije" koji spada među slabije DTV akciće Scotta Adkinsa, no u usporedbi s "Najdužom noći" gotovo da je na razini "Umri muški".

Zanimljivo je da je u prvoj sezoni serije "Batwoman" Rose nadgledao sin Freemanova lika iz Nolanova serijala o Batmanu, zanimljivije od samog filma, lišenog osnovnih žanrovskih akcijsko-trilerskih uzbuđenja, zvjezdane karizme heroine i negativca, ugođaja, svega, tijekom Victorijine ubojite noćne odiseje. "Čujem da si ubila više ljudi od Quentina Tarantina", kaže Victoriji jedan diler u neuspjelu pokušaju rekreacije "tarantinovske" scene iz "Kralja pornića" i ponudi je koktelom. Ne, hvala!

Željna statusa akcijske zvijezde

Ruby Rose je najprije primirisala akciji uz provjerene akcijske junake Vina Diesela ("'xXx 3") i Jasona Stathama ("Meg: Predator iz dubina") da bi sama poželjela postati 'action star' ("Batwoman").
