Tiburon... Gran tiburon blanco. Ne trebate razumjeti španjolski da shvatite što znače ove zlokobne riječi, posebice kad ih izgovori prosjak bez nogu. I kad napravi gestikulaciju da mu je noge odgrizao upravo gran tiburon blanco. Dakle, morski pas/tiburon, točnije velika bijela psina/gran tiburon blanco.

Pa ipak, mladi likovi na zadnjim "spring break" praznicima u Meksiku zanemaruju upozoravajući "bad omen" i "jamesbondovsko" predstavljanje morskog psa (Tiburon... Gran tiburon blanco) u čijem je napadu nesretni prosjak izgubio noge i odluče se otisnuti na more u ukradenim vodenim skuterima.

Tako započinje film "Shark Bait", preveden kao "Mamac", neovisno o tome što jedan morsko-pasovski "Mamac" već postoji ("Bait", 2012.), kao i istoimeni akcijski triler s Jamiejem Foxxom, iako bi doslovan prijevod originala bio drukčiji i zvučniji ("Mamac za morskog psa").

Likovi bi vas, barem njih četiri od pet, mogli nervirati sa svojom "lošom idejom" krađe "jet skija" jutro nakon pijane večeri i još gorom "igrom kukavice" s vodenim skuterima u mamurnom stanju, k tome predaleko od obale. Od ludiranja do sudara kratak je put i paf – jedan skuter je uništen i polako tone, drugi se ne da upaliti, a i jedan od petero mamurnih "spring breakera", Greg (Thomas Flynn), ima vanjski prijelom noge i njegova krv poziva morskog psa na (do)ručak od ljudetine.

Mladići i djevojke stiskaju se na jednom skuteru, a kao da situacija nije već dovoljno naopaka, slatka Nat (najbolja u glumačkoj ekipi Holly Earl; nalik Emiliji Clarke) na mobitelu svoga dečka Toma (Jack Trueman) pronalazi fotke Milly (Catherine Hannay) s kojom je, očito, zabrijao prošle večeri i prevario je.

Mobitel kojemu ionako šteka signal za poziv u pomoć pada u more prilikom novonastalog natezanja oko fotki. To bi za neke gledatelje mogla biti kap koja počinje prelijevati čašu morske vode, ali srećom u tom trenutku sugestija (prisutnosti) velike bijele psine postaje sve zlokobnija, od kadra leđne peraje nadalje, pa se zanemaruju još neke gluposti.

Tipa, Milly ne zna plivati, a Nat povikne Tyleru (Malachi Pullar-Latchman) "Izađi iz mora! Morski pas!", iako se on nalazi nasred pučine, daleko od skutera, kad odluči otplivati do broda kojeg su vidjeli na pola puta između obale i mjesta gdje se dogodila nesreća.

Kako bi Tyler trebao "izaći iz mora"? Osoviti se na noge i početi trčati po površini (morske) vode kao Remo Williams, da ne kažemo Isus? Ipak, redatelj James Nunn i scenarist Nick Saltrese iznalaze opravdanje za glupo "mladost ludost" ponašanje likova.

Nakon što Nat sugerira Tyleru da ne odlazi plivati jer je dobio udarac u glavu prilikom sudara, on kaže "To bi mogao biti problem da u njoj (glavi) ima nešto". Preko Tylerove izjave mogu se prelomiti ne samo likovi filma za koje gledatelj teško da može navijati – osim (za) Nat – nego i cijeli "Shark Bait".

"Mamac" je bezmozgaški "shark movie", ali i kao takav mrvicu bolji ili mrvu manje loš od recentnih filmova ovakvog tipa poput "Noći s morskim psima", "Dubokog modrog mora 3", "Velike bijele psine" i, napose, "Strave iz dubina", ako već ne doseže standarde "Ralja", "Deep Blue Sea", "Opasnosti iz dubine" ili "Pakla pod morem". Ovo nije ni blizu dobar film, ali je neloš "shark movie", otprilike kao "Pakao pod morem 2".

"Mamac" je vizualno-produkcijski prilično atraktivan i "čisto" snimljen (djeluje kao "Meg" u odnosu na "Great White", kamoli "The Requin"), s šačicom dojmljivih i dojmljivo sugestivnih podvodnih kadrova, snimljenih tik ispod površine mora s pogledom na skuter, kao i totala beskrajnog i bezizlaznog morskog plavetnila odakle svaki čas može izroniti velika bijela psina i pojesti vas.

Tiha prijetnja nemani važnija je od njezinog ukazanja za anticipaciju horora, naročito ako je morski pas potpomognut CGI-jem, što jest, a scene stradavanja likova usađuju se u sjećanje zahvaljujući prilično nemilosrdnoj egzekuciji, kao da ih velika bijela psina kažnjava za glupost. Dobro ćete porazmisliti o eventualnoj "posudbi" vodenih skutera nakon filma za jednokratno gledanje u kinu i sjećanje barem do polovice, ako ne i kraja ljeta.

James Nunn je dosad režirao dva akcijska filma sa Scottom Adkinsom, "Eliminators" i "One Shot", a njegov prvijenac bio je horor "Tower Block".

Tiburon... Gran tiburon blanco. Ne trebate razumjeti španjolski da shvatite što znače ove zlokobne riječi, posebice kad ih izgovori prosjak bez nogu. I kad napravi gestikulaciju da mu je noge odgrizao upravo gran tiburon blanco. Dakle, morski pas/tiburon, točnije velika bijela psina/gran tiburon blanco.

Pa ipak, mladi likovi na zadnjim "spring break" praznicima u Meksiku zanemaruju upozoravajući "bad omen" i "jamesbondovsko" predstavljanje morskog psa (Tiburon... Gran tiburon blanco) u čijem je napadu nesretni prosjak izgubio noge i odluče se otisnuti na more u ukradenim vodenim skuterima.

Tako započinje film "Shark Bait", preveden kao "Mamac", neovisno o tome što jedan morsko-pasovski "Mamac" već postoji ("Bait", 2012.), kao i istoimeni akcijski triler s Jamiejem Foxxom, iako bi doslovan prijevod originala bio drukčiji i zvučniji ("Mamac za morskog psa").

Likovi bi vas, barem njih četiri od pet, mogli nervirati sa svojom "lošom idejom" krađe "jet skija" jutro nakon pijane večeri i još gorom "igrom kukavice" s vodenim skuterima u mamurnom stanju, k tome predaleko od obale. Od ludiranja do sudara kratak je put i paf – jedan skuter je uništen i polako tone, drugi se ne da upaliti, a i jedan od petero mamurnih "spring breakera", Greg (Thomas Flynn), ima vanjski prijelom noge i njegova krv poziva morskog psa na (do)ručak od ljudetine.

Mladići i djevojke stiskaju se na jednom skuteru, a kao da situacija nije već dovoljno naopaka, slatka Nat (najbolja u glumačkoj ekipi Holly Earl; nalik Emiliji Clarke) na mobitelu svoga dečka Toma (Jack Trueman) pronalazi fotke Milly (Catherine Hannay) s kojom je, očito, zabrijao prošle večeri i prevario je.

Mobitel kojemu ionako šteka signal za poziv u pomoć pada u more prilikom novonastalog natezanja oko fotki. To bi za neke gledatelje mogla biti kap koja počinje prelijevati čašu morske vode, ali srećom u tom trenutku sugestija (prisutnosti) velike bijele psine postaje sve zlokobnija, od kadra leđne peraje nadalje, pa se zanemaruju još neke gluposti.

Tipa, Milly ne zna plivati, a Nat povikne Tyleru (Malachi Pullar-Latchman) "Izađi iz mora! Morski pas!", iako se on nalazi nasred pučine, daleko od skutera, kad odluči otplivati do broda kojeg su vidjeli na pola puta između obale i mjesta gdje se dogodila nesreća.

Kako bi Tyler trebao "izaći iz mora"? Osoviti se na noge i početi trčati po površini (morske) vode kao Remo Williams, da ne kažemo Isus? Ipak, redatelj James Nunn i scenarist Nick Saltrese iznalaze opravdanje za glupo "mladost ludost" ponašanje likova.

Nakon što Nat sugerira Tyleru da ne odlazi plivati jer je dobio udarac u glavu prilikom sudara, on kaže "To bi mogao biti problem da u njoj (glavi) ima nešto". Preko Tylerove izjave mogu se prelomiti ne samo likovi filma za koje gledatelj teško da može navijati – osim (za) Nat – nego i cijeli "Shark Bait".

"Mamac" je bezmozgaški "shark movie", ali i kao takav mrvicu bolji ili mrvu manje loš od recentnih filmova ovakvog tipa poput "Noći s morskim psima", "Dubokog modrog mora 3", "Velike bijele psine" i, napose, "Strave iz dubina", ako već ne doseže standarde "Ralja", "Deep Blue Sea", "Opasnosti iz dubine" ili "Pakla pod morem". Ovo nije ni blizu dobar film, ali je neloš "shark movie", otprilike kao "Pakao pod morem 2".

"Mamac" je vizualno-produkcijski prilično atraktivan i "čisto" snimljen (djeluje kao "Meg" u odnosu na "Great White", kamoli "The Requin"), s šačicom dojmljivih i dojmljivo sugestivnih podvodnih kadrova, snimljenih tik ispod površine mora s pogledom na skuter, kao i totala beskrajnog i bezizlaznog morskog plavetnila odakle svaki čas može izroniti velika bijela psina i pojesti vas.

Tiha prijetnja nemani važnija je od njezinog ukazanja za anticipaciju horora, naročito ako je morski pas potpomognut CGI-jem, što jest, a scene stradavanja likova usađuju se u sjećanje zahvaljujući prilično nemilosrdnoj egzekuciji, kao da ih velika bijela psina kažnjava za glupost. Dobro ćete porazmisliti o eventualnoj "posudbi" vodenih skutera nakon filma za jednokratno gledanje u kinu i sjećanje barem do polovice, ako ne i kraja ljeta.

James Nunn je dosad režirao dva akcijska filma sa Scottom Adkinsom, "Eliminators" i "One Shot", a njegov prvijenac bio je horor "Tower Block".
