Pod bor hrvatskih kina filmski Djed Mraz je ovog blagdanskog vikenda tutnuo još jedan lijep dar – novi crtić režisera Petea Doctera i studija Pixar. Animirani film "Duša" uljepšao je Božić kao i "Wonder Woman 1984". Čak i više. "Soul" je jedan od najljepših crtića ne samo s potpisom Doctera i Pixara, nego i uopće.

Pixarov katalog Docter je obogatio s tri divote, "Čudovišta iz ormara" ("Monsters Inc."), "Nebesa" ("Up") i "Izvrnuto obrnuto" ("Inside Out"), sada i četiri. Budući Pixarov zimzeleni klasik animirani je film pun duše, crtić vječno kucajućeg srca. Većina Pixarovih animacija razgaljuju dušu, griju srce i stimuliraju mozak, tipuju na (raz)um i osjećaje, a "Duša" sve to potencira kao duševni nasljednik "Izvrnuto obrnuto".

Priča je iznimno poticajna i prilično revolucionarna unutar viskobudžetnog (hollywoodskog) "mainstream" crtića. Animirani filmovi znaju biti egzistencijalni (npr. Pixarov serijal "Priča o igračkama" i ovogodišnji "Naprijed"), ali nijedan dosad nije ovako kontemplirao o životu, prirodi egzistencije, životu poslije života i smrti, premda je "Coco i velika tajna" probio led, ambijentiran i u svijet mrtvih.

Nijedan, osim Disneyjeve "Princeze i žapca", nije ni ovoliko bio fokusiran na pripadnike afroameričke zajednice koja je s jazzom dala jedan od najvećih obola svjetskoj kulturi. Zaplet kreće nakon što Joe, učitelj glazbenog u osnovnoj školi i pasionirani ljubitelj jazza, strada baš na dan kad je dobio šansu da ispuni san i zasvira na klaviru zajedno s džezerskom legendom.

Učitelj se nalazi u komi, a njegova plavo-zelena duša je odvojena od tijela i nalazi se u redu za odlazak u bijelu svjetlost – "Život poslije". Međusvijet između Zemlje i neba oslikan je briljantno, kao nekakav mračni, crno-bijeli kozmički svijet sa stepenicama nalik tipkama za klavir koje mogu voditi i do Kubrickove "Odiseje u svemiru" u "stairway to heaven" stilu.

Međutim, Joeova duša doznaje da postoji i svojevrsno čistilište – vedrije obojani "Život prije" pod vodstvom likova koje kao da je crtao otac kubizma Picasso. Ondje još nerođene duše uz pomoć mentora oblikuju osobnost kako bi pronašle svoju "iskru", ono što vole/žele raditi prije odlaska na Zemlju i rođenja u ljudskom tijelu.

Joe vidi priliku da se vrati u svoje tijelo i spletom s(p)retnih okolnosti postaje mentor ciničnoj dušici znanoj kao 22 koja je izludila sve prijašnje duše na njegovu mjestu, uključujući npr. Majku Terezu i Junga, a nikako ne može pronaći svoju "iskru". Duhovita "buddy" avantura počinje i uključuje komičnu zamjenu tijela, ali sada Pixar više cilja na odrasle gledatelje, nego (mlađe) klince.

Mališanima bi "Pustinja izgubljenih duša" mogla biti malčice "scary" i cijeli visoki koncept nerazumljiv, posebice jer se Docter znade zanijeti s "world building" mitologijom i improvizirati s njezinim (među)svjetovima. Docter stvara "Soul" kao da "džezira", zanesen džezerskom "umjetnošću improvizacije" (animacije).

Redatelj se pronalazi u Joeu i njegovoj rečenici s početka crtića o tome da je dobro kad se glazbenik zanese, potpuno izgubi u glazbi, uđe u nju i povede nas s njom. Zaneseni Docter se potpuno izgubio u filmu, ušao u njega i poveo nas s njim. Glazba je metafora za film, a Trent Reznor i Atticus Ross obogatili su je nadrealno dobrim ambijentalnim soundtrackom iz neke druge dimenzije.

Joeova ljubav prema glazbi jednaka je Docterovoj ljubavi prema animiranom filmu. (Ovaj) crtić se nalazi u Docterovoj duši kao muzika u Joeovoj. To je njihova "iskra", odnosno strast i smisao postojanja, njihov život. "Duša" potiče paljenje iskri u publici, ali i ističe da svrha života i postojanja leži i u malim, naoko besmislenim stvarima kakve neki često uzimaju zdravo za gotovo, kao što je poći u kino i pogledati film ili poslušati glazbu, a uz njih se osjećate da živite.

Način na koji Docter dočarava sitnice što život znače i sam život u ponajboljoj sceni nekog (Pixarovog) animiranog filma tjera suze na lice. Tužne, katarzične suze prelijevaju se u suze radosnice poput vodenih boja i slikaju novo Pixarovo remek-djelo.

Pod bor hrvatskih kina filmski Djed Mraz je ovog blagdanskog vikenda tutnuo još jedan lijep dar – novi crtić režisera Petea Doctera i studija Pixar. Animirani film "Duša" uljepšao je Božić kao i "Wonder Woman 1984". Čak i više. "Soul" je jedan od najljepših crtića ne samo s potpisom Doctera i Pixara, nego i uopće.

Pixarov katalog Docter je obogatio s tri divote, "Čudovišta iz ormara" ("Monsters Inc."), "Nebesa" ("Up") i "Izvrnuto obrnuto" ("Inside Out"), sada i četiri. Budući Pixarov zimzeleni klasik animirani je film pun duše, crtić vječno kucajućeg srca. Većina Pixarovih animacija razgaljuju dušu, griju srce i stimuliraju mozak, tipuju na (raz)um i osjećaje, a "Duša" sve to potencira kao duševni nasljednik "Izvrnuto obrnuto".

Priča je iznimno poticajna i prilično revolucionarna unutar viskobudžetnog (hollywoodskog) "mainstream" crtića. Animirani filmovi znaju biti egzistencijalni (npr. Pixarov serijal "Priča o igračkama" i ovogodišnji "Naprijed"), ali nijedan dosad nije ovako kontemplirao o životu, prirodi egzistencije, životu poslije života i smrti, premda je "Coco i velika tajna" probio led, ambijentiran i u svijet mrtvih.

Nijedan, osim Disneyjeve "Princeze i žapca", nije ni ovoliko bio fokusiran na pripadnike afroameričke zajednice koja je s jazzom dala jedan od najvećih obola svjetskoj kulturi. Zaplet kreće nakon što Joe, učitelj glazbenog u osnovnoj školi i pasionirani ljubitelj jazza, strada baš na dan kad je dobio šansu da ispuni san i zasvira na klaviru zajedno s džezerskom legendom.

Učitelj se nalazi u komi, a njegova plavo-zelena duša je odvojena od tijela i nalazi se u redu za odlazak u bijelu svjetlost – "Život poslije". Međusvijet između Zemlje i neba oslikan je briljantno, kao nekakav mračni, crno-bijeli kozmički svijet sa stepenicama nalik tipkama za klavir koje mogu voditi i do Kubrickove "Odiseje u svemiru" u "stairway to heaven" stilu.

Međutim, Joeova duša doznaje da postoji i svojevrsno čistilište – vedrije obojani "Život prije" pod vodstvom likova koje kao da je crtao otac kubizma Picasso. Ondje još nerođene duše uz pomoć mentora oblikuju osobnost kako bi pronašle svoju "iskru", ono što vole/žele raditi prije odlaska na Zemlju i rođenja u ljudskom tijelu.

Joe vidi priliku da se vrati u svoje tijelo i spletom s(p)retnih okolnosti postaje mentor ciničnoj dušici znanoj kao 22 koja je izludila sve prijašnje duše na njegovu mjestu, uključujući npr. Majku Terezu i Junga, a nikako ne može pronaći svoju "iskru". Duhovita "buddy" avantura počinje i uključuje komičnu zamjenu tijela, ali sada Pixar više cilja na odrasle gledatelje, nego (mlađe) klince.

Mališanima bi "Pustinja izgubljenih duša" mogla biti malčice "scary" i cijeli visoki koncept nerazumljiv, posebice jer se Docter znade zanijeti s "world building" mitologijom i improvizirati s njezinim (među)svjetovima. Docter stvara "Soul" kao da "džezira", zanesen džezerskom "umjetnošću improvizacije" (animacije).

Redatelj se pronalazi u Joeu i njegovoj rečenici s početka crtića o tome da je dobro kad se glazbenik zanese, potpuno izgubi u glazbi, uđe u nju i povede nas s njom. Zaneseni Docter se potpuno izgubio u filmu, ušao u njega i poveo nas s njim. Glazba je metafora za film, a Trent Reznor i Atticus Ross obogatili su je nadrealno dobrim ambijentalnim soundtrackom iz neke druge dimenzije.

Joeova ljubav prema glazbi jednaka je Docterovoj ljubavi prema animiranom filmu. (Ovaj) crtić se nalazi u Docterovoj duši kao muzika u Joeovoj. To je njihova "iskra", odnosno strast i smisao postojanja, njihov život. "Duša" potiče paljenje iskri u publici, ali i ističe da svrha života i postojanja leži i u malim, naoko besmislenim stvarima kakve neki često uzimaju zdravo za gotovo, kao što je poći u kino i pogledati film ili poslušati glazbu, a uz njih se osjećate da živite.

Način na koji Docter dočarava sitnice što život znače i sam život u ponajboljoj sceni nekog (Pixarovog) animiranog filma tjera suze na lice. Tužne, katarzične suze prelijevaju se u suze radosnice poput vodenih boja i slikaju novo Pixarovo remek-djelo.

Domaća sinkronizacija je za svaku pohvalu, jedna od najboljih dosad, premda bi bilo lijepo čuti i originalnu verziju u kojoj su glasove posudili Jamie Foxx, Tina Fey, Graham Norton...
