U Dalmatinskoj zagori, barem u njezinu istočnom dijelu, prema Hercegovini, vrijeme od blagdana svete Kate do Božića tradicionalno je rezervirano za kolinje.

To je običaj koji već desetljećima živi na našem kršu. Sad je vrijeme idealno za to - zahladilo je, jutra su puna mraza, nema muha… Prije se govorilo, kakva je to kuća koja za Božić nije "ubila" dvije-tri svinje i ulila četiri-pet barila vina.

No, vremena se mijenjaju, barem je tako u Vrgorskoj krajini, gdje je gotovo svaka kuća prije imala i držala svinje. No, danas ih gotovo nitko nema. Što je razlog tome? Pitaju se mnogi.

Jedni će reći kako svinjsko meso nije zdravo, drugi kako se narod pogospodio, treći kako ljudi danas puno više sami kupuju obrađene pozicije mesa poput pečenice, pancete i pršuta, te ih suše u vlastitom aranžmanu ili koriste usluge sve brojnijih sušara.

Najbolji sugovornik o ovoj temi u Vrgorcu i okolici je veterinar Ivo Ajduković, čovjek koji već tri desetljeća brine o stočnom fondu tog dijela Hrvatske.

- Mislim da je priča s klanjem gotova u Vrgorskoj krajini. Znate koliko sam imao uzoraka na trihinelozu ove godine? Ni manje, ni više nego 95, a od toga je oko 25 došlo s područja Dubrovačko-neretvanske županije, odnosno mjesta Otrić-Seoci i Staševica, te poluotoka Pelješca.

Znači, u Vrgorskoj krajini koja broji 26 mjesnih odbora, stradalo je samo 70 svinja uoči Božića. A znate koliko ih je nekad bilo, pa čak i ne tako davno, možda prije dvadesetak godina? Od 1300 do 1500 komada - ističe Ajduković i dodaje:

- Evo, već tri godine u Podprologu nitko nema ni svinju, u Dusini je takva "praksa" već odavno, a ove godine ni jedan uzorak nije došao ni iz Zavojana. Nekoliko ljudi još drži svinje u Kokorićima i Stiljima.

Zbog toga danas ne možete pronaći domaću divenicu, samo ako zamolite nekog od tih rijetkih ljudi koji drže svinje da vam je naprave. A prije je svaka kuća uoči Božića mirisala po divenicama.

Zašto Vrgorčani sve manje drže svinje, ali i drugo domaće blago, iskusni veterinar smatra da je glavni i osnovni uzrok porazna demografska slika.

- Pogledajte naša sela, u njima su ostali samo stariji i nemoćni građani, a mladost se iselila, otišla je trbuhom za kruhom po bijelom svijetu. Za srediti svinju danas na selu trebaju četiri čovjeka, a gdje ih se pronaći?

Osim toga, ovdje je sjedište velike mesne industrije, pa ljudi uzimaju po potrebi što im treba. Moglo bi se dogoditi, da uskoro ostanemo i bez krava, jer za sad ih sve možemo nabrojiti na prste jedne ruke, nekad je tu paslo između četiri i pet tisuća koza, danas ih ima oko 150.

Mislim da sam vam sve rekao s tim, moramo mijenjati puno stvari ako mislimo spasiti selo i vratiti ljude starim običajima i tradiciji - zaključuje ponosni Sinjanin, koji je početkom 90-ih godina prošlog stoljeća došao živjeti i raditi u Tinov grad.

U Dalmatinskoj zagori, barem u njezinu istočnom dijelu, prema Hercegovini, vrijeme od blagdana svete Kate do Božića tradicionalno je rezervirano za kolinje.

To je običaj koji već desetljećima živi na našem kršu. Sad je vrijeme idealno za to - zahladilo je, jutra su puna mraza, nema muha… Prije se govorilo, kakva je to kuća koja za Božić nije "ubila" dvije-tri svinje i ulila četiri-pet barila vina.

No, vremena se mijenjaju, barem je tako u Vrgorskoj krajini, gdje je gotovo svaka kuća prije imala i držala svinje. No, danas ih gotovo nitko nema. Što je razlog tome? Pitaju se mnogi.

Jedni će reći kako svinjsko meso nije zdravo, drugi kako se narod pogospodio, treći kako ljudi danas puno više sami kupuju obrađene pozicije mesa poput pečenice, pancete i pršuta, te ih suše u vlastitom aranžmanu ili koriste usluge sve brojnijih sušara.

Najbolji sugovornik o ovoj temi u Vrgorcu i okolici je veterinar Ivo Ajduković, čovjek koji već tri desetljeća brine o stočnom fondu tog dijela Hrvatske.

- Mislim da je priča s klanjem gotova u Vrgorskoj krajini. Znate koliko sam imao uzoraka na trihinelozu ove godine? Ni manje, ni više nego 95, a od toga je oko 25 došlo s područja Dubrovačko-neretvanske županije, odnosno mjesta Otrić-Seoci i Staševica, te poluotoka Pelješca.

Znači, u Vrgorskoj krajini koja broji 26 mjesnih odbora, stradalo je samo 70 svinja uoči Božića. A znate koliko ih je nekad bilo, pa čak i ne tako davno, možda prije dvadesetak godina? Od 1300 do 1500 komada - ističe Ajduković i dodaje:

- Evo, već tri godine u Podprologu nitko nema ni svinju, u Dusini je takva "praksa" već odavno, a ove godine ni jedan uzorak nije došao ni iz Zavojana. Nekoliko ljudi još drži svinje u Kokorićima i Stiljima.

Zbog toga danas ne možete pronaći domaću divenicu, samo ako zamolite nekog od tih rijetkih ljudi koji drže svinje da vam je naprave. A prije je svaka kuća uoči Božića mirisala po divenicama.

Zašto Vrgorčani sve manje drže svinje, ali i drugo domaće blago, iskusni veterinar smatra da je glavni i osnovni uzrok porazna demografska slika.

- Pogledajte naša sela, u njima su ostali samo stariji i nemoćni građani, a mladost se iselila, otišla je trbuhom za kruhom po bijelom svijetu. Za srediti svinju danas na selu trebaju četiri čovjeka, a gdje ih se pronaći?

Osim toga, ovdje je sjedište velike mesne industrije, pa ljudi uzimaju po potrebi što im treba. Moglo bi se dogoditi, da uskoro ostanemo i bez krava, jer za sad ih sve možemo nabrojiti na prste jedne ruke, nekad je tu paslo između četiri i pet tisuća koza, danas ih ima oko 150.

Mislim da sam vam sve rekao s tim, moramo mijenjati puno stvari ako mislimo spasiti selo i vratiti ljude starim običajima i tradiciji - zaključuje ponosni Sinjanin, koji je početkom 90-ih godina prošlog stoljeća došao živjeti i raditi u Tinov grad.
