Svećenik-berekin, okvirni je naslov nikada započete monografije o liku i djelu don Većeslava Šupuka, dugogodišnjeg župnika Katuna i Kreševa koji je u nedjelju nakon dugogodišnje borbe s opakom bolešću preminuo u 85. godini života.

Upravo ovaj naslov, volio je kazati, u dvije riječi obilježava cijeli njegov život, od rodnog Slimena preko daleke Australije do Radobilje, a ujedno i jedina neispunjena želja na njegovom blagorodnom životnom putu. A bilo ih je mnogo.

Ipak, više od pisanja, djelovao je riječju i djelom. Njegov neimarski duh obilježio je Radobilju kao središte velikih vjerskih događanja, a mjesnu crkvu Posrednice svih milosti podigao je na pijedestal svetosti što mu je i bila životna želja.

Temeljita rekonstrukcija crkve u Katunima i Kreševu, tek je jedna u nizu njegovih graditeljskih zahvata. Uz pomoć župljana izgradio je i kilometarski Križni put na brdu Gradina ponad župnog dvora s 14 kapelica s kamenim reljefima križnog puta na vrhu kojeg je 30 metara visoko armiranobetonsko raspelo.

Zaslužan je i za mnoštvo drugih velikih infrastrukturnih i kulturnih zahvata, kao što je obnova crkve sv. Roka na Kreševu Brdu, izgradnju nove crkve i groblja na Prpuši, spomenika palim braniteljima, onog prvom hrvatskom predsjedniku Franji Tuđmanu, Papi Ivanu Pavlu II. i kardinalu Franji Kuhariću. I sve to u 37 godina pastirskog djelovanja u drevnoj Radobilji. Poznat je i po svojim osebujnim, duhovitim i nadasve sadržajnim propovijedima.

Za nas novinare bio je izrazito zahvalan sugovornik kojeg nije trebalo dvaput nagovarati da nam nešto više kaže o svojim idejama i započetim projektima. Tako je i u zadnjem našem telefonskom razgovoru prije dva mjeseca otkrio kako mu je jedino žao što nije napisao spomenutu monografiju.

Sjetio se svih tih lijepih trenutaka provedenim u Katunima i Kreševu, svih anegdota i viceva, svaga dobroga i zajedničkih druženja i pisanja. I događaja prije dvadesetak godina kada zbog nemogućnosti da potpisnik ovih redaka prisustvuje obredu Velikog Petka, pa mu je koji sat prije na telefon rekao da će procesija svakako ići unatoč kiši.

Međutim, prije samog obreda sneveralo spustila se na Katune nenadinja Božja. Odgođena procesija, a sutra na stranicama našeg dnevnog lista stoji naslov "U Katunima veličanstvena procesija s crkvenim i državnim barjacima".

Neki su mu znali davati epitete "atomski" i "vatreni pop", drugi ga nisu nikada mogli ni zamisliti kao svećenika, a on ih je sve demantirao 1963. godine slavivši svoju mladu misu na Slimenu. Nakon službe u rodnom mjestu odlazi u Gornje Selo i Stomorsku na otoku Šolti, zatim u Neorić i Sutinu, pa u Jesenice. Šest godina provodi kao misionar u Australiji i po povratku je bio tajnik nadbiskupa Frane Franića. Od 1977. do svojeg umirovljenja 2014. godine provodi u župi Katuni-Kreševo.

I za kraj navodimo dio njegove propovijedi s oproštajnog euharistijskog slavlja u Radobilji.

- Odlazim iz ove župe, ali moje srce uvijek ostaje s vama. Ovdje me vežu brojne uspomene kroz koje smo zajedno prošli. Oprostite mi ako sam koga uvrijedio, sve je to bilo u dobroj namjeri za opće dobro.

I sutra, kada svoju dušu predam Bogu, izrazio sam želju da se sahranim u ovoj župskoj zajednici koju sam nemjerljivo volio i u kojoj sam ostavio svoje najbolje godine. Sve što smo učinili, učinili smo zajedno, jer bez vas i vaše pomoći ne bi bilo ničega - tim je riječima don Većeslav zaključio svoj pastoralni, a sada i životni put.

Svećenik-berekin, okvirni je naslov nikada započete monografije o liku i djelu don Većeslava Šupuka, dugogodišnjeg župnika Katuna i Kreševa koji je u nedjelju nakon dugogodišnje borbe s opakom bolešću preminuo u 85. godini života.

Upravo ovaj naslov, volio je kazati, u dvije riječi obilježava cijeli njegov život, od rodnog Slimena preko daleke Australije do Radobilje, a ujedno i jedina neispunjena želja na njegovom blagorodnom životnom putu. A bilo ih je mnogo.

Ipak, više od pisanja, djelovao je riječju i djelom. Njegov neimarski duh obilježio je Radobilju kao središte velikih vjerskih događanja, a mjesnu crkvu Posrednice svih milosti podigao je na pijedestal svetosti što mu je i bila životna želja.

Temeljita rekonstrukcija crkve u Katunima i Kreševu, tek je jedna u nizu njegovih graditeljskih zahvata. Uz pomoć župljana izgradio je i kilometarski Križni put na brdu Gradina ponad župnog dvora s 14 kapelica s kamenim reljefima križnog puta na vrhu kojeg je 30 metara visoko armiranobetonsko raspelo.

Zaslužan je i za mnoštvo drugih velikih infrastrukturnih i kulturnih zahvata, kao što je obnova crkve sv. Roka na Kreševu Brdu, izgradnju nove crkve i groblja na Prpuši, spomenika palim braniteljima, onog prvom hrvatskom predsjedniku Franji Tuđmanu, Papi Ivanu Pavlu II. i kardinalu Franji Kuhariću. I sve to u 37 godina pastirskog djelovanja u drevnoj Radobilji. Poznat je i po svojim osebujnim, duhovitim i nadasve sadržajnim propovijedima.

Za nas novinare bio je izrazito zahvalan sugovornik kojeg nije trebalo dvaput nagovarati da nam nešto više kaže o svojim idejama i započetim projektima. Tako je i u zadnjem našem telefonskom razgovoru prije dva mjeseca otkrio kako mu je jedino žao što nije napisao spomenutu monografiju.

Sjetio se svih tih lijepih trenutaka provedenim u Katunima i Kreševu, svih anegdota i viceva, svaga dobroga i zajedničkih druženja i pisanja. I događaja prije dvadesetak godina kada zbog nemogućnosti da potpisnik ovih redaka prisustvuje obredu Velikog Petka, pa mu je koji sat prije na telefon rekao da će procesija svakako ići unatoč kiši.

Međutim, prije samog obreda sneveralo spustila se na Katune nenadinja Božja. Odgođena procesija, a sutra na stranicama našeg dnevnog lista stoji naslov "U Katunima veličanstvena procesija s crkvenim i državnim barjacima".

Neki su mu znali davati epitete "atomski" i "vatreni pop", drugi ga nisu nikada mogli ni zamisliti kao svećenika, a on ih je sve demantirao 1963. godine slavivši svoju mladu misu na Slimenu. Nakon službe u rodnom mjestu odlazi u Gornje Selo i Stomorsku na otoku Šolti, zatim u Neorić i Sutinu, pa u Jesenice. Šest godina provodi kao misionar u Australiji i po povratku je bio tajnik nadbiskupa Frane Franića. Od 1977. do svojeg umirovljenja 2014. godine provodi u župi Katuni-Kreševo.

I za kraj navodimo dio njegove propovijedi s oproštajnog euharistijskog slavlja u Radobilji.

- Odlazim iz ove župe, ali moje srce uvijek ostaje s vama. Ovdje me vežu brojne uspomene kroz koje smo zajedno prošli. Oprostite mi ako sam koga uvrijedio, sve je to bilo u dobroj namjeri za opće dobro.

I sutra, kada svoju dušu predam Bogu, izrazio sam želju da se sahranim u ovoj župskoj zajednici koju sam nemjerljivo volio i u kojoj sam ostavio svoje najbolje godine. Sve što smo učinili, učinili smo zajedno, jer bez vas i vaše pomoći ne bi bilo ničega - tim je riječima don Većeslav zaključio svoj pastoralni, a sada i životni put.

Svećenik-berekin, okvirni je naslov nikada započete monografije o liku i djelu don Većeslava Šupuka, dugogodišnjeg župnika Katuna i Kreševa koji je u nedjelju nakon dugogodišnje borbe s opakom bolešću preminuo u 85. godini života.

Upravo ovaj naslov, volio je kazati, u dvije riječi obilježava cijeli njegov život, od rodnog Slimena preko daleke Australije do Radobilje, a ujedno i jedina neispunjena želja na njegovom blagorodnom životnom putu. A bilo ih je mnogo.

Ipak, više od pisanja, djelovao je riječju i djelom. Njegov neimarski duh obilježio je Radobilju kao središte velikih vjerskih događanja, a mjesnu crkvu Posrednice svih milosti podigao je na pijedestal svetosti što mu je i bila životna želja.
