Muškarci i žene odjenuti su prema najnovijoj francuskoj modi. U ženskog svijeta dominiraju bijela i žarke boje, premda se u svih šetača osjeća aristokratski ukus u načinu odijevanja. Da ne čujem jezik, koji je potpuno stran mojim ušima, vjerovao bih da se, sudeći prema odijelu, nalazim u nekom talijanskom ili južnofrancuskom gradu.
Ovako je pariški putopisac Pierre Bauron 1888. godine opisao kultno zadarsko sastajalište – urbanistički spoj Zelenoga trga, preko Trga Laurana i Nove obale s gatom – na kojem su pristajali brzi luksuzni brodovi. Na tom uskom prostoru smjestili su se Glavna pošta, čak tri gradska kina, stajalište za poštanske kočije iz unutrašnjosti, tržnica, reprezentativne prodavaonice, šetalište, ali i najpoznatija među njima, kultna kavana "Lloyd".
Ostao je prah i pepeo
Ova slika zadarske Nove rive pune velebnih palača, kultnih kavana i kultiviranih perivoja, galantnih kavalira i elegantnih dama, danas, nažalost, živi samo kao sjećanje na starim poštanskim razglednicama. Sve te zgrade nakon savezničkog bombardiranja Zadra preko noći su pretvorene u prah i pepeo, nakon toga zatrpane i zaboravljene.

Sve do sada, ravno 90 godina kasnije, kada je počelo parterno uređenje zadarske rive. Prije mjesec dana, praktički prvog dana otkako su počeli radovi, a bager zakopao prvu lopatu, na rivi su počeli izranjati zidovi srušenih palača.
Prvo su u blizini gata, uz rub sadašnjeg dječjeg igrališta, na vrlo maloj dubini pronađeni ostaci kuće Trigari u kojoj se nekad nalazila pošta.
Masivni temelji čija debljina na mjestima prelazi 120 centimetara, nadsvođena vodosprema i zidovi prekriveni finom nepropusnom žbukom još uvijek vjerno svjedoče o raskošnoj trokatnici širine 40 metara koja je izgrađena 1870. godine. U njoj je živio i jedan od najdugovječnijih zadarskih gradonačelnika, Nicolò Trigari, koji je na toj funkciji bio čak 25 godina.

– Bila je smještena uz sam Trg Laurana, na mjestu gdje su pristajali parobrodi, poštanske kočije, gdje je bila žila kucavica društvenog života, zapravo sam centar grada. Neposredno uz nju bio je i vodoskok. Ovo što vidite je samo desetina njezina tlocrta, ali baš ovdje među ruševinama smo pronašli malu, krasnu, bočicu s prikazom pauna – pokazuje nam vrijedni nalaz dr. sc. Berislav Štefanac iz Muzeja antičkog stakla, koji provodi arheološki nadzor na uređenju rive.
I taman kad se pomislilo da će petnaestak metara masivnog zida nekadašnje Poštanske kuće biti najvrjednije otkriće u ovoj fazi radova, u neposrednoj blizini izronila je nova senzacija: ostaci kuće Perlini iz 1877. godine u čijem se prizemlju nalazila upravo kultna kavana "Lloyd"!
Luxardova boca
– Evo, baš ovdje gdje se nalaze ovi ostaci pronašli smo pečat Luxardove boce, što je više nego indikativno ako znamo da se u prizemlju nalazila kavana. Ovo je jedna od prvih zgrada s kraja 19. stoljeća koja je imala poravnate uglove, pa je tlocrt izgledao poligonalno. Bila je to prekrasna trokatnica s mansardama i pet prozora po vertikalnoj osi, širine oko 40 metara.
Pozicija na kojoj se nalazila nije mogla biti ekskluzivnija. Preko puta je bilo gradsko kino, uz nju vodoskok, ovdje je i pristajao parobrod koji je stizao iz Trsta preko Lošinja do Zadra. Kopali smo na nekoliko mjesta, ali ovo su jedini temeljni ostaci koje smo uspjeli pronaći na dubini do pola metra. Pogledaje, još uvijek se lijepo vide cijev i špina vezani na vodospremu koja je nadsvođena ciglenim podom – pokazuje nam arheolog Štefanac sačuvane ostatke nekad raskošne palače.

Kakva je budućnost ovih artefakata, pitamo arheologa Štefanca i dr. sc. Hrvoja Manenicu, ravnatelja Muzeja antičkog stakla.
"Nije nužno da zidovi ostanu vidljivi, ali bilo bi korisno uz šetnicu postaviti edukativne panoe gdje bi, uz arhivsku građu i fotodokumentaciju, imali vrijedan materijal. Jer ovo što danas vidimo tek je mali dio onoga što je ovdje nekad bilo. Ali, o tome će odlučivati konzervatori", odgovaraju arheolozi.
Dakle, zadnja riječ je na – konzervatorima.

Muškarci i žene odjenuti su prema najnovijoj francuskoj modi. U ženskog svijeta dominiraju bijela i žarke boje, premda se u svih šetača osjeća aristokratski ukus u načinu odijevanja. Da ne čujem jezik, koji je potpuno stran mojim ušima, vjerovao bih da se, sudeći prema odijelu, nalazim u nekom talijanskom ili južnofrancuskom gradu.
Ovako je pariški putopisac Pierre Bauron 1888. godine opisao kultno zadarsko sastajalište – urbanistički spoj Zelenoga trga, preko Trga Laurana i Nove obale s gatom – na kojem su pristajali brzi luksuzni brodovi. Na tom uskom prostoru smjestili su se Glavna pošta, čak tri gradska kina, stajalište za poštanske kočije iz unutrašnjosti, tržnica, reprezentativne prodavaonice, šetalište, ali i najpoznatija među njima, kultna kavana "Lloyd".
Ostao je prah i pepeo
Ova slika zadarske Nove rive pune velebnih palača, kultnih kavana i kultiviranih perivoja, galantnih kavalira i elegantnih dama, danas, nažalost, živi samo kao sjećanje na starim poštanskim razglednicama. Sve te zgrade nakon savezničkog bombardiranja Zadra preko noći su pretvorene u prah i pepeo, nakon toga zatrpane i zaboravljene.

Sve do sada, ravno 90 godina kasnije, kada je počelo parterno uređenje zadarske rive. Prije mjesec dana, praktički prvog dana otkako su počeli radovi, a bager zakopao prvu lopatu, na rivi su počeli izranjati zidovi srušenih palača.
Prvo su u blizini gata, uz rub sadašnjeg dječjeg igrališta, na vrlo maloj dubini pronađeni ostaci kuće Trigari u kojoj se nekad nalazila pošta.
Masivni temelji čija debljina na mjestima prelazi 120 centimetara, nadsvođena vodosprema i zidovi prekriveni finom nepropusnom žbukom još uvijek vjerno svjedoče o raskošnoj trokatnici širine 40 metara koja je izgrađena 1870. godine. U njoj je živio i jedan od najdugovječnijih zadarskih gradonačelnika, Nicolò Trigari, koji je na toj funkciji bio čak 25 godina.

– Bila je smještena uz sam Trg Laurana, na mjestu gdje su pristajali parobrodi, poštanske kočije, gdje je bila žila kucavica društvenog života, zapravo sam centar grada. Neposredno uz nju bio je i vodoskok. Ovo što vidite je samo desetina njezina tlocrta, ali baš ovdje među ruševinama smo pronašli malu, krasnu, bočicu s prikazom pauna – pokazuje nam vrijedni nalaz dr. sc. Berislav Štefanac iz Muzeja antičkog stakla, koji provodi arheološki nadzor na uređenju rive.
I taman kad se pomislilo da će petnaestak metara masivnog zida nekadašnje Poštanske kuće biti najvrjednije otkriće u ovoj fazi radova, u neposrednoj blizini izronila je nova senzacija: ostaci kuće Perlini iz 1877. godine u čijem se prizemlju nalazila upravo kultna kavana "Lloyd"!
Luxardova boca
– Evo, baš ovdje gdje se nalaze ovi ostaci pronašli smo pečat Luxardove boce, što je više nego indikativno ako znamo da se u prizemlju nalazila kavana. Ovo je jedna od prvih zgrada s kraja 19. stoljeća koja je imala poravnate uglove, pa je tlocrt izgledao poligonalno. Bila je to prekrasna trokatnica s mansardama i pet prozora po vertikalnoj osi, širine oko 40 metara.
Pozicija na kojoj se nalazila nije mogla biti ekskluzivnija. Preko puta je bilo gradsko kino, uz nju vodoskok, ovdje je i pristajao parobrod koji je stizao iz Trsta preko Lošinja do Zadra. Kopali smo na nekoliko mjesta, ali ovo su jedini temeljni ostaci koje smo uspjeli pronaći na dubini do pola metra. Pogledaje, još uvijek se lijepo vide cijev i špina vezani na vodospremu koja je nadsvođena ciglenim podom – pokazuje nam arheolog Štefanac sačuvane ostatke nekad raskošne palače.

Kakva je budućnost ovih artefakata, pitamo arheologa Štefanca i dr. sc. Hrvoja Manenicu, ravnatelja Muzeja antičkog stakla.
"Nije nužno da zidovi ostanu vidljivi, ali bilo bi korisno uz šetnicu postaviti edukativne panoe gdje bi, uz arhivsku građu i fotodokumentaciju, imali vrijedan materijal. Jer ovo što danas vidimo tek je mali dio onoga što je ovdje nekad bilo. Ali, o tome će odlučivati konzervatori", odgovaraju arheolozi.
Dakle, zadnja riječ je na – konzervatorima.
