Ne budimo previše kritični prema pandemiji i svim nuspojavama te grdne nevolje koja pokori cijeli svijet na istu fintu. Dogodilo se i nešto pozitivnih stvari, i onih važnih, temeljnih, a i puno običnih, svakodnevnih, što nam život čine lakšim. Generalno, Dubrovnik je postao jednostavniji za život, lakše se kretati, nema gužve, lakše je parkirati, a neke su stvari, dragi Hrvati, nećete vjerovati, pojeftinile. I to se čudo dogodilo, iako se, u skladu s dugogodišnjim trendom, očekivalo – poskupljenje.

Posljednjih dvadeset godina grad se razvijao tako da je postajao sve neprijateljskiji prema svojim stanovnicima. To su oni koji tu žive generacijama ili manje, ali im je zajedničko da imaju osobnu kartu s nekom od dubrovačkih adresa. Njima je život postajao sve konfuzniji, kompliciraniji i naravno – skuplji. Garniture vrlih dužnosnika pobjedu na izborima doživljavale su kao postavljanje na mjesto direktora poduzeća sa zadaćom da nabiju zaradu u blagajnu, pa je tako došlo do lihvarenja vlastitih građana, sve kako bi se namaknuo višak love i prikazale sposobnosti vođenja. Cijene svakodnevnog života formirale su se prema potražnji stranih gostiju, pa je nekako došlo pod normalno da obični građani Dubrovnika sve plaćaju skuplje od "normalnih" Hrvata, jer, eto, žive u Dubrovniku. Da stvar bude apsurdnija, to bogaćenje grada na račun građana bilo je važnom polugom u predizbornim kampanjama:

– Dragi građani, juhhuu, cijeli nas svijet voli, ludi su za nama! Da vlast nije ovako sposobna, ne bi nam dolazili ni najbogatiji jahtaši, ne bi se ovdje snimale najslavnije svjetske serije i filmovi, ne bi se kraj Lokruma bućkala Beyonce, ne bi nas vrtjeli na svim portalima i TV postajama. Glasajte za mene, da ne bi mene, ništa od toga ne bi vidjeli.

I tako je grad Dubrovnik, inače oduvijek slavan i meta poznatih ljudi svekolikog svijeta, postao grad za strance, a ne za svoje građane. Štoviše, na svim slavnim mjestima i okupljanjima domaći su oduvijek nepoželjni. Onako neugledni smetaju, zauzimaju stolice, a i ne možeš ih opljačkati kad nešto naruče. Ma nek sjede doma, ili po kvartovskim rupama, ako baš moraju u društvo.

Tako je Dubrovčanima prodano opsjenarstvo. Glasaju oni na izborima, određuju tko će voditi brigu o njihovim životima, poslovima i obiteljima, a oni koje izaberu bace se u biznis za strance i sa strancima. I pritom se hvale zaradom koja će tobože pomoći građanima da bolje žive. Šipak. I budale, ponosne na ime i slavu grada, glasaju za one koji obećavaju nastavak snimanja filmova i serija. Tek nakratko, prigodno za izbore, sjete se škola, vodovoda, kanalizacije, igrališta za djecu, ali ne drži ih dugo.

Ne tako davno, recimo sedamdesetih ili osamdesetih godina prošlog stoljeća, grad Dubrovnik imao je više gostiju nego bilo koje godine od 2000. nadalje. I promet je, prevedeno u onim parama, bio lako usporediv. Ali, idemo se podsjetiti što je sve izgrađeno u tih dvadeset godina pred rat i usporediti s ovih dvadeset od 2000. dalje. Realno, nema usporedbe. Teško je nabrojiti što je sve kapitalno napravljeno od 1970. do 1990., dok za ovo drugo nema problema. Lako je pobrojati sve što se odnosi na zajedničke potrebe.

Skoro će izbori. Bilo bi dobro glasati za one koji razumiju da nisu direktori firme Dubrovnik d.o.o., nego gradonačelnici s obvezom prema svojim građanima.

Ne budimo previše kritični prema pandemiji i svim nuspojavama te grdne nevolje koja pokori cijeli svijet na istu fintu. Dogodilo se i nešto pozitivnih stvari, i onih važnih, temeljnih, a i puno običnih, svakodnevnih, što nam život čine lakšim. Generalno, Dubrovnik je postao jednostavniji za život, lakše se kretati, nema gužve, lakše je parkirati, a neke su stvari, dragi Hrvati, nećete vjerovati, pojeftinile. I to se čudo dogodilo, iako se, u skladu s dugogodišnjim trendom, očekivalo – poskupljenje.

Posljednjih dvadeset godina grad se razvijao tako da je postajao sve neprijateljskiji prema svojim stanovnicima. To su oni koji tu žive generacijama ili manje, ali im je zajedničko da imaju osobnu kartu s nekom od dubrovačkih adresa. Njima je život postajao sve konfuzniji, kompliciraniji i naravno – skuplji. Garniture vrlih dužnosnika pobjedu na izborima doživljavale su kao postavljanje na mjesto direktora poduzeća sa zadaćom da nabiju zaradu u blagajnu, pa je tako došlo do lihvarenja vlastitih građana, sve kako bi se namaknuo višak love i prikazale sposobnosti vođenja. Cijene svakodnevnog života formirale su se prema potražnji stranih gostiju, pa je nekako došlo pod normalno da obični građani Dubrovnika sve plaćaju skuplje od "normalnih" Hrvata, jer, eto, žive u Dubrovniku. Da stvar bude apsurdnija, to bogaćenje grada na račun građana bilo je važnom polugom u predizbornim kampanjama:

– Dragi građani, juhhuu, cijeli nas svijet voli, ludi su za nama! Da vlast nije ovako sposobna, ne bi nam dolazili ni najbogatiji jahtaši, ne bi se ovdje snimale najslavnije svjetske serije i filmovi, ne bi se kraj Lokruma bućkala Beyonce, ne bi nas vrtjeli na svim portalima i TV postajama. Glasajte za mene, da ne bi mene, ništa od toga ne bi vidjeli.

I tako je grad Dubrovnik, inače oduvijek slavan i meta poznatih ljudi svekolikog svijeta, postao grad za strance, a ne za svoje građane. Štoviše, na svim slavnim mjestima i okupljanjima domaći su oduvijek nepoželjni. Onako neugledni smetaju, zauzimaju stolice, a i ne možeš ih opljačkati kad nešto naruče. Ma nek sjede doma, ili po kvartovskim rupama, ako baš moraju u društvo.

Tako je Dubrovčanima prodano opsjenarstvo. Glasaju oni na izborima, određuju tko će voditi brigu o njihovim životima, poslovima i obiteljima, a oni koje izaberu bace se u biznis za strance i sa strancima. I pritom se hvale zaradom koja će tobože pomoći građanima da bolje žive. Šipak. I budale, ponosne na ime i slavu grada, glasaju za one koji obećavaju nastavak snimanja filmova i serija. Tek nakratko, prigodno za izbore, sjete se škola, vodovoda, kanalizacije, igrališta za djecu, ali ne drži ih dugo.

Ne tako davno, recimo sedamdesetih ili osamdesetih godina prošlog stoljeća, grad Dubrovnik imao je više gostiju nego bilo koje godine od 2000. nadalje. I promet je, prevedeno u onim parama, bio lako usporediv. Ali, idemo se podsjetiti što je sve izgrađeno u tih dvadeset godina pred rat i usporediti s ovih dvadeset od 2000. dalje. Realno, nema usporedbe. Teško je nabrojiti što je sve kapitalno napravljeno od 1970. do 1990., dok za ovo drugo nema problema. Lako je pobrojati sve što se odnosi na zajedničke potrebe.

Ne budimo previše kritični prema pandemiji i svim nuspojavama te grdne nevolje koja pokori cijeli svijet na istu fintu. Dogodilo se i nešto pozitivnih stvari, i onih važnih, temeljnih, a i puno običnih, svakodnevnih, što nam život čine lakšim. Generalno, Dubrovnik je postao jednostavniji za život, lakše se kretati, nema gužve, lakše je parkirati, a neke su stvari, dragi Hrvati, nećete vjerovati, pojeftinile. I to se čudo dogodilo, iako se, u skladu s dugogodišnjim trendom, očekivalo – poskupljenje.

Posljednjih dvadeset godina grad se razvijao tako da je postajao sve neprijateljskiji prema svojim stanovnicima. To su oni koji tu žive generacijama ili manje, ali im je zajedničko da imaju osobnu kartu s nekom od dubrovačkih adresa. Njima je život postajao sve...
