Jeste li već nabavili zanimljivo štivo za duge jesenske večeri? Ne znate li što čitati, raspitali smo se umjesto vas. Preporuke nam je ovog puta dala Patricija Horvat, prevoditeljici s više stranih jezika i dugogodišnjoj voditeljici Bookvice. Pa evo što nam Patricija predlaže za čitanje i zašto.

1. Igor Rajki: DRHTAJNIŠTVO (Hena com, 2019.)

Najnoviji roman našeg najvećeg "tekstremista" i jezičnog virtuoza otvara nam vrata u neobičan svijet u kojem su glavni likovi pisci, lektori, dijalogičari, fontolozi, a superjunak jezik. Rajki nas i u ovom romanu, kao i u prethodnim djelima, podsjeća na činjenicu koju u poplavi sve šturije komunikacije nažalost često previdimo i zaboravimo: podsjeća nas na to koliko je naš jezik raskošan i čaroban u svojoj tvorbenosti. Njegove su rečenice pune metafora i dubinskih značenja čije razotkrivanje čini vrhunski čitateljski užitak.

2. Monika Herceg: VRIJEME PRIJE JEZIKA (Fraktura, 2020.)

Nova knjiga jedne od naših najvažnijih suvremenih pjesnikinja također se utječe jeziku, no pritom prije svega istražuje mogućnosti izricanja (naizgled) neizrecivog. Monika je riječima itekako uspjela dočarati ono što se naoko može izraziti samo pokretima, dodirima, gestikulacijom: uspjela je izraziti osjećaje, ono što dolazi prije jezika i ostaje nakon što nas on napusti. Čak i ako ne čitate često poeziju, zaputite se među stranice ove knjige, jer poznavati poeziju Monike Herceg danas je već pitanje opće kulture.

3. Elizabeth Strout: OLIVE, IZNOVA (Profil, 2019.)

Vjerujem da su svi koji su se imali priliku upoznati s osebujnom Olive Kitteridge, bilo čitajući istoimenu knjigu ili gledajući HBO-ovu seriju, jedva dočekali - baš kao i ja - nove priče u kojima se pojavljuje ta često okrutno iskrena, ali i iznimno suosjećajna umirovljena nastavnica matematike, koja kroz osobenjačku prizmu promatra sebe i svijet obalnog američkog gradića koji je okružuje. Sve redom dirljive i tople, nimalo patetične, a često neobične i na rubu bizarnosti, te nas priče vode duboko u ljudsku dušu i srž međuljudskih odnosa. Ako još niste upoznali Olive Kitteridge, ne propustite to učiniti.

Najnoviji roman našeg najvećeg "tekstremista" i jezičnog virtuoza otvara nam vrata u neobičan svijet u kojem su glavni likovi pisci, lektori, dijalogičari, fontolozi, a superjunak jezik. Rajki nas i u ovom romanu, kao i u prethodnim djelima, podsjeća na činjenicu koju u poplavi sve šturije komunikacije nažalost često previdimo i zaboravimo: podsjeća nas na to koliko je naš jezik raskošan i čaroban u svojoj tvorbenosti. Njegove su rečenice pune metafora i dubinskih značenja čije razotkrivanje čini vrhunski čitateljski užitak.

2. Monika Herceg: VRIJEME PRIJE JEZIKA (Fraktura, 2020.)

Nova knjiga jedne od naših najvažnijih suvremenih pjesnikinja također se utječe jeziku, no pritom prije svega istražuje mogućnosti izricanja (naizgled) neizrecivog. Monika je riječima itekako uspjela dočarati ono što se naoko može izraziti samo pokretima, dodirima, gestikulacijom: uspjela je izraziti osjećaje, ono što dolazi prije jezika i ostaje nakon što nas on napusti. Čak i ako ne čitate često poeziju, zaputite se među stranice ove knjige, jer poznavati poeziju Monike Herceg danas je već pitanje opće kulture.

3. Elizabeth Strout: OLIVE, IZNOVA (Profil, 2019.)

Vjerujem da su svi koji su se imali priliku upoznati s osebujnom Olive Kitteridge, bilo čitajući istoimenu knjigu ili gledajući HBO-ovu seriju, jedva dočekali - baš kao i ja - nove priče u kojima se pojavljuje ta često okrutno iskrena, ali i iznimno suosjećajna umirovljena nastavnica matematike, koja kroz osobenjačku prizmu promatra sebe i svijet obalnog američkog gradića koji je okružuje. Sve redom dirljive i tople, nimalo patetične, a često neobične i na rubu bizarnosti, te nas priče vode duboko u ljudsku dušu i srž međuljudskih odnosa. Ako još niste upoznali Olive Kitteridge, ne propustite to učiniti.
