Do osamdesetih godina Šibenik je, uz Rijeku, bio najsnažnija luka pomorskoga gospodarstva na našoj jadranskoj obali. Njegovo lučko gospodarstvo dominiralo je i nad onim industrijskim. Luka je zapošljavala gotovo tisuću radnika koji su u pretovaru radili u tri smjene, a u luci se znalo naći od jednom i po desetak brodova s raznih strana svijeta, dok asu drugi čekali na vezu ispod otoka Zlarina.

Glavna sirovina u pretovaru bili su rasuti (sipki) tereti, osobito fosfati za umjetno gnojivo, potom generalni tereti poput olova, aluminija, drvene građe...

Šibenskim kanalom sv. Ante uplovljavali su veliki brodovi poput "Portobella“ godine 1975. od 42.000 tona, "Vladimira Vaslyayeva“- 32.000 tona 1996. godine s opremom za snage SFOR-a, potom "Bunun Elegance“ - 45.000 tona. Brodovi blizanci, „Viking Sky“ i „Viking Sae“ uplovili su u Šibenik 2017. i 2018. godine...

Dogodilo se, da je u veljači ove godine na vezu u Rogaču, pristao dotad najveći brod po tonaži - "Asi Fortune“ od 58.000 tona, panamske zastave koji je u Šibenik za tvornicu Impol dovezao 18.000 tona aluminija. To ja najveći brod u šibeniku nakon Vaslajeva“ od 32.264 tona, koji je u dva navrata, 1995. i 1996. uplovio u šibensku luku s opremom za snage SFORA-a UN u BiH.

A najveći putnički brodovi koji su posjetili Šibenik bili su šest brodova za krstarenje, "Viking Sea“, "Viking Sun“,“Viking Sky“, "Viking Orion“, "Viking Jupiter“ i "Viking Venus“, brodovi blizanci, i to sve u razdoblju od 2017. do 2019. godine.

A što se same Luke tiče kao tvrtke pomorskoga gospodarstva, tu je danas stanje daleko od nekadašnjega. Onog davnoga kada je Luka u pretovaru dosizala i više od milijun tona tereta godišnje i zapošljavala 900 ranika. I bila druga po snazi nakon Rijeke.

Danas je u Luci uposleno manje od stotinu lučkih radnika. Šibenska luka se posebno specijalizirala za rasute terete, ponajprije fosfat i druge minerale iz Sjeverne Afrike, za što izgrađen i moderan terminal velikog kapaciteta.

Ostale su glavne sirovine, fosfati, išli u Petrokemiju u Kutini za proizvodnju umjetnih gnojiva. Petrokemija je i većinski vlasnik Luke Šibenik.

Ali, njeni glavni proizvodi, umjetna gnojiva (salitra) sve su manje traženi na tržištu. Pa je kutinska tvrtka i zato već dugo u krizi. Umjetna gnojiva sve manje se primjenjuju u obradi tla, s naglaskom na čistu ekološku proizvodnju u poljoprivredi. Zato se i Petrokemija pokušava preorijentirati na druge poslove.

I tako, dok traju problemi s Petrokemijom i šibenska luka sve više ostaje bez brodova. Događa se i sada, posebno zbog globalne krize energenata i rata u Ukrajini, da u Šibenik danima ne uplovi ni jedan brod. Dakako, osim velikih bodova na krstarenju s turistima.

Do osamdesetih godina Šibenik je, uz Rijeku, bio najsnažnija luka pomorskoga gospodarstva na našoj jadranskoj obali. Njegovo lučko gospodarstvo dominiralo je i nad onim industrijskim. Luka je zapošljavala gotovo tisuću radnika koji su u pretovaru radili u tri smjene, a u luci se znalo naći od jednom i po desetak brodova s raznih strana svijeta, dok asu drugi čekali na vezu ispod otoka Zlarina.

Glavna sirovina u pretovaru bili su rasuti (sipki) tereti, osobito fosfati za umjetno gnojivo, potom generalni tereti poput olova, aluminija, drvene građe...

Šibenskim kanalom sv. Ante uplovljavali su veliki brodovi poput "Portobella“ godine 1975. od 42.000 tona, "Vladimira Vaslyayeva“- 32.000 tona 1996. godine s opremom za snage SFOR-a, potom "Bunun Elegance“ - 45.000 tona. Brodovi blizanci, „Viking Sky“ i „Viking Sae“ uplovili su u Šibenik 2017. i 2018. godine...

Dogodilo se, da je u veljači ove godine na vezu u Rogaču, pristao dotad najveći brod po tonaži - "Asi Fortune“ od 58.000 tona, panamske zastave koji je u Šibenik za tvornicu Impol dovezao 18.000 tona aluminija. To ja najveći brod u šibeniku nakon Vaslajeva“ od 32.264 tona, koji je u dva navrata, 1995. i 1996. uplovio u šibensku luku s opremom za snage SFORA-a UN u BiH.

A najveći putnički brodovi koji su posjetili Šibenik bili su šest brodova za krstarenje, "Viking Sea“, "Viking Sun“,“Viking Sky“, "Viking Orion“, "Viking Jupiter“ i "Viking Venus“, brodovi blizanci, i to sve u razdoblju od 2017. do 2019. godine.

A što se same Luke tiče kao tvrtke pomorskoga gospodarstva, tu je danas stanje daleko od nekadašnjega. Onog davnoga kada je Luka u pretovaru dosizala i više od milijun tona tereta godišnje i zapošljavala 900 ranika. I bila druga po snazi nakon Rijeke.

Danas je u Luci uposleno manje od stotinu lučkih radnika. Šibenska luka se posebno specijalizirala za rasute terete, ponajprije fosfat i druge minerale iz Sjeverne Afrike, za što izgrađen i moderan terminal velikog kapaciteta.

Ostale su glavne sirovine, fosfati, išli u Petrokemiju u Kutini za proizvodnju umjetnih gnojiva. Petrokemija je i većinski vlasnik Luke Šibenik.

Ali, njeni glavni proizvodi, umjetna gnojiva (salitra) sve su manje traženi na tržištu. Pa je kutinska tvrtka i zato već dugo u krizi. Umjetna gnojiva sve manje se primjenjuju u obradi tla, s naglaskom na čistu ekološku proizvodnju u poljoprivredi. Zato se i Petrokemija pokušava preorijentirati na druge poslove.

I tako, dok traju problemi s Petrokemijom i šibenska luka sve više ostaje bez brodova. Događa se i sada, posebno zbog globalne krize energenata i rata u Ukrajini, da u Šibenik danima ne uplovi ni jedan brod. Dakako, osim velikih bodova na krstarenju s turistima.

Do osamdesetih godina Šibenik je, uz Rijeku, bio najsnažnija luka pomorskoga gospodarstva na našoj jadranskoj obali. Njegovo lučko gospodarstvo dominiralo je i nad onim industrijskim. Luka je zapošljavala gotovo tisuću radnika koji su u pretovaru radili u tri smjene, a u luci se znalo naći od jednom i po desetak brodova s raznih strana svijeta, dok asu drugi čekali na vezu ispod otoka Zlarina.

Glavna sirovina u pretovaru bili su rasuti (sipki) tereti, osobito fosfati za umjetno gnojivo, potom generalni tereti poput olova, aluminija, drvene građe...

Šibenskim kanalom sv. Ante uplovljavali su veliki brodovi poput "Portobella“ godine 1975. od 42.000 tona, "Vladimira Vaslyayeva“- 32.000 tona 1996. godine s opremom za snage SFOR-a, potom "Bunun Elegance“ - 45.000 tona. Brodovi blizanci, „Viking Sky“ i „Viking Sae“ uplovili su u Šibenik 2017. i 2018. godine...
