CNN Travel u opsežnom članku objavljenom ovog tjedna pod naslovom "Lijepa hrvatska obala s malo turista", vodi u Dalmaciju, ali s odmakom od Dubrovnika i Splita i naglaskom na Zadar, Šibenik i Trogir s okružjem.

Jedan od bitnijih hrvatskih gradova većina turista iz nekog razloga zanemaruje, ali Šibenik je mjesto koje morate posjetiti.

Osnovan u 11. stoljeću od strane Hrvata – a ne Rimljana ili Grka, kao i drugi dalmatinski gradovi – dom je veličanstvene katedrale sv. Jakova, koja je na popisu UNESCO-a, gotičko-renesansnog čuda, s frizom od 71 skulpturalnog portreta.

Mlečani su ovdje vladali od 1412. do 1797. i lako se ugodno izgubiti u labirintu mramornih uličica koje su ostavili u povijesnom središtu, ali uštedite vrijeme da posjetite tri gradske tvrđave koje su izgradili.

Najbrža do kojeg se stiže, sv. Mihovil, udaljena je manje od 10 minuta hoda od rive i ujedno je mjesto na otvorenom za ljetne pop koncerte s prekrasnim pogledom na Jadran.

Pazite i na znakove koji vas vode oko pet minuta južno od tvrđave do mirisnog srednjovjekovnog mediteranskog vrta samostana svetog Lovre. Udahnite mirise lavande, ružmarina i divljeg bilja dok se opuštate na vrtnim klupama.

Autobusi polaze iz Šibenika za grad Skradin, 12 milja sjeverno, odakle se vozite brodom istočno duž rijeke Krke pored sedam veličanstvenih slapova. Najpoznatiji je Skradinski buk sa 17 slapova koji se slijevaju jedan u drugi.

Na ovom mjestu možete se iskrcati i slijediti pješačku stazu kako biste je bolje pogledali prije nego što uđete dublje u bujno zelenilo koje okružuje rijeku. Brod se zaustavlja na raznim točkama, uključujući tutnjavi Roški slap i samostan na otoku Visovcu.

Kasno proljeće, rano ljeto i jesen dobro je vrijeme za posjet, jer razina vode može pasti tijekom ljetnih mjeseci.

CNN Travel u opsežnom članku objavljenom ovog tjedna pod naslovom "Lijepa hrvatska obala s malo turista", vodi u Dalmaciju, ali s odmakom od Dubrovnika i Splita i naglaskom na Zadar, Šibenik i Trogir s okružjem.

O Šibeniku je autorica Mary Novakovich napisala ovo:

Jedan od bitnijih hrvatskih gradova većina turista iz nekog razloga zanemaruje, ali Šibenik je mjesto koje morate posjetiti.

Osnovan u 11. stoljeću od strane Hrvata – a ne Rimljana ili Grka, kao i drugi dalmatinski gradovi – dom je veličanstvene katedrale sv. Jakova, koja je na popisu UNESCO-a, gotičko-renesansnog čuda, s frizom od 71 skulpturalnog portreta.

Mlečani su ovdje vladali od 1412. do 1797. i lako se ugodno izgubiti u labirintu mramornih uličica koje su ostavili u povijesnom središtu, ali uštedite vrijeme da posjetite tri gradske tvrđave koje su izgradili.

Najbrža do kojeg se stiže, sv. Mihovil, udaljena je manje od 10 minuta hoda od rive i ujedno je mjesto na otvorenom za ljetne pop koncerte s prekrasnim pogledom na Jadran.

Pazite i na znakove koji vas vode oko pet minuta južno od tvrđave do mirisnog srednjovjekovnog mediteranskog vrta samostana svetog Lovre. Udahnite mirise lavande, ružmarina i divljeg bilja dok se opuštate na vrtnim klupama.

Autobusi polaze iz Šibenika za grad Skradin, 12 milja sjeverno, odakle se vozite brodom istočno duž rijeke Krke pored sedam veličanstvenih slapova. Najpoznatiji je Skradinski buk sa 17 slapova koji se slijevaju jedan u drugi.

Na ovom mjestu možete se iskrcati i slijediti pješačku stazu kako biste je bolje pogledali prije nego što uđete dublje u bujno zelenilo koje okružuje rijeku. Brod se zaustavlja na raznim točkama, uključujući tutnjavi Roški slap i samostan na otoku Visovcu.

Kasno proljeće, rano ljeto i jesen dobro je vrijeme za posjet, jer razina vode može pasti tijekom ljetnih mjeseci.

CNN se naklonio Šibeniku: ‘Turisti ga zanemaruju, ali ovo je mjesto koje morate posjetiti!‘

CNN Travel u opsežnom članku objavljenom ovog tjedna pod naslovom "Lijepa hrvatska obala s malo turista", vodi u Dalmaciju, ali s odmakom od Dubrovnika i Splita i naglaskom na Zadar, Šibenik i Trogir s okružjem.

O Šibeniku je autorica Mary Novakovich napisala ovo:

Jedan od bitnijih hrvatskih gradova većina turista iz nekog razloga zanemaruje, ali Šibenik je mjesto koje morate posjetiti.

Osnovan u 11. stoljeću od strane Hrvata – a ne Rimljana ili Grka, kao i drugi dalmatinski gradovi – dom je veličanstvene katedrale sv. Jakova, koja je na popisu UNESCO-a, gotičko-renesansnog čuda, s frizom od 71 skulpturalnog portreta.

Mlečani su ovdje vladali od 1412. do 1797. i lako se ugodno izgubiti u labirintu mramornih uličica koje su ostavili u povijesnom središtu, ali uštedite vrijeme da posjetite tri gradske tvrđave koje su izgradili.

Najbrža do kojeg se stiže, sv. Mihovil, udaljena je manje od 10 minuta hoda od rive i ujedno je mjesto na otvorenom za ljetne pop koncerte s prekrasnim pogledom na Jadran.

Pazite i na znakove koji vas vode oko pet minuta južno od tvrđave do mirisnog srednjovjekovnog mediteranskog vrta samostana svetog Lovre. Udahnite mirise lavande, ružmarina i divljeg bilja dok se opuštate na vrtnim klupama.

Autobusi polaze iz Šibenika za grad Skradin, 12 milja sjeverno, odakle se vozite brodom istočno duž rijeke Krke pored sedam veličanstvenih slapova. Najpoznatiji je Skradinski buk sa 17 slapova koji se slijevaju jedan u drugi.

Na ovom mjestu možete se iskrcati i slijediti pješačku stazu kako biste je bolje pogledali prije nego što uđete dublje u bujno zelenilo koje okružuje rijeku. Brod se zaustavlja na raznim točkama, uključujući tutnjavi Roški slap i samostan na otoku Visovcu.

Kasno proljeće, rano ljeto i jesen dobro je vrijeme za posjet, jer razina vode može pasti tijekom ljetnih mjeseci.
