Na karti Europske agencije za prevenciju i kontrolu bolesti (ECDC) koja prikazuje stopu zaraženih koronovarusom, samo je jedna zemlja već treći tjedan zaredom označena zelenom bojom.

Zelena boja označava da je u toj zemlji manje od 25 zaraženih stanovnika na 100.000, a riječ je o Islandu.

Ujedno to je jedina država na karti u kojoj zadnja tri tjedna nije preminuo ni jedan jedini stanovnik od koronavirusa. Stopa smrtnosti je nula, a stopa zaraze manja nego igdje, samo 8.4. Kod nas je primjerice 14-dnevna stopa zaraze na 100.000 stanovnika 157,47, a u Portugalu čak 1190,09. 

U ovoj otočnoj zemlji s nešto više od 360 tisuća stanovnika, od početka pandemije zbog posljedica COVID-19, umrlo je samo 29 osoba. U Hrvatskoj je do danas ukupno preminulo 5318 zaraženih.

Svjetska zdravstvena organizacija pozvala je sve zemlje da ubrzaju genetsko sekvenciranje virusa kako bi se olakšala borba s novim, zaraznijim sojevima, no Islanđanima to ne treba posebno govoriti. Oni su sekvencirali sve potvrđene slučajeva COVID-a što ovu zemlju čini svjetskim liderom.

Premda i druge zemlje poput Britanije, Danske, Australije ili Novog Zelanda opsežno sekvenciraju koronavirus, nitko nije ni blizu islandske razine. Njihova biofarmaceutska tvrtka deCODE Genetics zadnjih je 10 mjeseci analizirala svaki pozitivan test korone u zemlji. Cilj je jednostavan, analizirati sve kako im ne bi promaknuo ni jedan novi i problematičan soj. I ne promiče im. 

- Samo sekvenciranje traje relativno kratko, objasnio je šef Geneticsova laboratorija, Olafur Thor Magnusson. Otprilike tri sata su dovoljna da odrede soj virusa.

Cijeli proces, od izoliranja DNK do sekvenciranja na Islandu traje oko dan i pol, a identificirali su preko 460 varijanti virusa. Sekvenciranje im je primjerice pomoglo da se utvrdi povezanost između posjetitelja puba u centru Reykjavika i većine zaraza u jesenskom valu što je vlastima bio znak da zatvore barove i noćne klubove u glavnome gradu. A sekvenciranjem je utvrđen drugi soj virusa kod dvoje francuskih turista koji su izvorno pogrešno optuženi da su uzrok tog vala zaraza.

U tako povoljnoj situaciji kao što je Island ne nalazi se ni jedna zemlja u Europi. Na karti ECDC-a zelenom su bojom označeni samo manji dijelovi Norveške te jedna regija u Grčkoj gdje je broj zaraženih manji od 25 slučajeva na 100.000 stanovnika.

Najgora je situacija u Portugalu, gdje je učestalost zaraze 1190 na 100,000 stanovnika. Ozbiljna je i u Češkoj, gdje je incidencija 914, te u Španjolskoj, gdje je incidencija 843. 

Na karti su narančastom bojom označene zemlje u kojima je broj zaraženih niži od 50 slučajeva na 100 000 stanovnika, crvenom tamo gdje se incidencija kreće od 50 do 150, a stopa pozitivnih iznosi 4 posto ili više, ili ako je 14-dnevna kumulativna stopa prijave slučajeva COVID-19 viša od 150, a manje od 500;

Tamno crvenom bojom označene su zemlje u kojim je broj veći od 500, a kod onih označenih sivom bojom nema dovoljno podataka ili je stopa testiranja niža od 300 slučajeva na 100 000.

Gotovo sve europske zemlje označene su tamnocrvenom ili svijetlocrvenom bojom s visokom stopom zaraze. U Hrvatskoj je na 100.000 stanovnika 157,47 zaraženih, a 14-dnevna incidencija umrlih na milijun stanovnika 83,1.

Na karti Europske agencije za prevenciju i kontrolu bolesti (ECDC) koja prikazuje stopu zaraženih koronovarusom, samo je jedna zemlja već treći tjedan zaredom označena zelenom bojom.

Zelena boja označava da je u toj zemlji manje od 25 zaraženih stanovnika na 100.000, a riječ je o Islandu.

Ujedno to je jedina država na karti u kojoj zadnja tri tjedna nije preminuo ni jedan jedini stanovnik od koronavirusa. Stopa smrtnosti je nula, a stopa zaraze manja nego igdje, samo 8.4. Kod nas je primjerice 14-dnevna stopa zaraze na 100.000 stanovnika 157,47, a u Portugalu čak 1190,09. 

U ovoj otočnoj zemlji s nešto više od 360 tisuća stanovnika, od početka pandemije zbog posljedica COVID-19, umrlo je samo 29 osoba. U Hrvatskoj je do danas ukupno preminulo 5318 zaraženih.

Svjetska zdravstvena organizacija pozvala je sve zemlje da ubrzaju genetsko sekvenciranje virusa kako bi se olakšala borba s novim, zaraznijim sojevima, no Islanđanima to ne treba posebno govoriti. Oni su sekvencirali sve potvrđene slučajeva COVID-a što ovu zemlju čini svjetskim liderom.

Premda i druge zemlje poput Britanije, Danske, Australije ili Novog Zelanda opsežno sekvenciraju koronavirus, nitko nije ni blizu islandske razine. Njihova biofarmaceutska tvrtka deCODE Genetics zadnjih je 10 mjeseci analizirala svaki pozitivan test korone u zemlji. Cilj je jednostavan, analizirati sve kako im ne bi promaknuo ni jedan novi i problematičan soj. I ne promiče im. 

- Samo sekvenciranje traje relativno kratko, objasnio je šef Geneticsova laboratorija, Olafur Thor Magnusson. Otprilike tri sata su dovoljna da odrede soj virusa.

Cijeli proces, od izoliranja DNK do sekvenciranja na Islandu traje oko dan i pol, a identificirali su preko 460 varijanti virusa. Sekvenciranje im je primjerice pomoglo da se utvrdi povezanost između posjetitelja puba u centru Reykjavika i većine zaraza u jesenskom valu što je vlastima bio znak da zatvore barove i noćne klubove u glavnome gradu. A sekvenciranjem je utvrđen drugi soj virusa kod dvoje francuskih turista koji su izvorno pogrešno optuženi da su uzrok tog vala zaraza.

U tako povoljnoj situaciji kao što je Island ne nalazi se ni jedna zemlja u Europi. Na karti ECDC-a zelenom su bojom označeni samo manji dijelovi Norveške te jedna regija u Grčkoj gdje je broj zaraženih manji od 25 slučajeva na 100.000 stanovnika.

Najgora je situacija u Portugalu, gdje je učestalost zaraze 1190 na 100,000 stanovnika. Ozbiljna je i u Češkoj, gdje je incidencija 914, te u Španjolskoj, gdje je incidencija 843. 

Na karti su narančastom bojom označene zemlje u kojima je broj zaraženih niži od 50 slučajeva na 100 000 stanovnika, crvenom tamo gdje se incidencija kreće od 50 do 150, a stopa pozitivnih iznosi 4 posto ili više, ili ako je 14-dnevna kumulativna stopa prijave slučajeva COVID-19 viša od 150, a manje od 500;

Tamno crvenom bojom označene su zemlje u kojim je broj veći od 500, a kod onih označenih sivom bojom nema dovoljno podataka ili je stopa testiranja niža od 300 slučajeva na 100 000.

Gotovo sve europske zemlje označene su tamnocrvenom ili svijetlocrvenom bojom s visokom stopom zaraze. U Hrvatskoj je na 100.000 stanovnika 157,47 zaraženih, a 14-dnevna incidencija umrlih na milijun stanovnika 83,1.

Prvaci borbe protiv korone: samo jedna zemlja u Europi označena je na karti zelenom bojom i u njoj više ne umire ni jedan stanovnik od covida!

Na karti Europske agencije za prevenciju i kontrolu bolesti (ECDC) koja prikazuje stopu zaraženih koronovarusom, samo je jedna zemlja već treći tjedan zaredom označena zelenom bojom.

Zelena boja označava da je u toj zemlji manje od 25 zaraženih stanovnika na 100.000, a riječ je o Islandu.

Ujedno to je jedina država na karti u kojoj zadnja tri tjedna nije preminuo ni jedan jedini stanovnik od koronavirusa. Stopa smrtnosti je nula, a stopa zaraze manja nego igdje, samo 8.4. Kod nas je primjerice 14-dnevna stopa zaraze na 100.000 stanovnika 157,47, a u Portugalu čak 1190,09. 

U ovoj otočnoj zemlji s nešto više od 360 tisuća stanovnika, od početka pandemije zbog posljedica COVID-19, umrlo je samo 29 osoba. U Hrvatskoj je do danas ukupno preminulo 5318 zaraženih.

Svjetska zdravstvena organizacija pozvala je sve zemlje da ubrzaju genetsko sekvenciranje virusa kako bi se olakšala borba s novim, zaraznijim sojevima, no Islanđanima to ne treba posebno govoriti. Oni su sekvencirali sve potvrđene slučajeva COVID-a što ovu zemlju čini svjetskim liderom.

Premda i druge zemlje poput Britanije, Danske, Australije ili Novog Zelanda opsežno sekvenciraju koronavirus, nitko nije ni blizu islandske razine. Njihova biofarmaceutska tvrtka deCODE Genetics zadnjih je 10 mjeseci analizirala svaki pozitivan test korone u zemlji. Cilj je jednostavan, analizirati sve kako im ne bi promaknuo ni jedan novi i problematičan soj. I ne promiče im. 

- Samo sekvenciranje traje relativno kratko, objasnio je šef Geneticsova laboratorija, Olafur Thor Magnusson. Otprilike tri sata su dovoljna da odrede soj virusa.

Cijeli proces, od izoliranja DNK do sekvenciranja na Islandu traje oko dan i pol, a identificirali su preko 460 varijanti virusa.
