Na današnji dan, 8. kolovoza 1995. godine pukovnik Čedo Bulat, zapovjednik 21. korpusa Srpske vojske Krajine predao se pomoćniku načelnika Glavnog stožera generalu Petru Stipetiću. Tim potezom i predajom korpusa od gotovo pet tisuća vojnika završena je akcija Oluja.

Na haubi automobila potpisana je predaja, a ta je fotografija ušla u povijest. O Bulatu koji mu je bio i vojnički kolega, Stipetić je imao visoko mišljenje.

'Bio mi je prijatelj'

- Susret je bio kod motela Brijuni kod Topuskog. Sam taj susret i kontakt i mene je umnogome iznenadio, jer se pojavio moj prijatelj Čedo Bulat. On mi je bio podčinjen u V. vojnoj oblasti. Kako ga od tada nisam vidio, nisam ni znao da je zapovjednik 21. kordunskog korpusa. Mi smo stigli iz UNPROFORove baze ukrajinskog bataljona u Glini, a on je došao iz pravca Topuskog. Naš susret bio je na cesti. Zaustavili smo vozila na 50-ak metara. Izašao sam iz vozila i gledam, s druge strane iz vozila izlazi Čedo. Kad me ugledao, počeo je gaziti strojevim korakom. Krenuo sam prema njemu i stali smo na šest koraka jedan od drugog. Propisno je pozdravio, ja odzdravio i on je podnio prijavak ovim riječima: “Gospodine generale, pukovnik Čedo Bulat, zapovjednik 21. kordunskog korpusa, predajem vam korpus i čestitam hrvatskoj vojsci na pobjedi.” Čedo pozdravlja, ja odzdravljam, a onda sam mu prišao. Pružio sam mu ruku i pitao ga kako je. A on je rekao: ”A što da ti kažem? Nikako!” - kazao je Stipetić u intervjuu za Express iz 2010. godine kada je dodao da je Bulat bio korektan časnik, koji po tadašnjim regulama radio svoj posao.

Zamijenio Basarca

Zanimljivo je i da Stipetić uopće nije trebao biti u "Oluji". Cijelu operaciju na Banovini je tada vodio Ivan Basarac koji je htio brzim napadom osloboditi tada okupiranu Petrinju, ali njegov se plan izjalovio jer su neprijateljske snage bile dobro pripremljene. Predsjednik Franjo Tuđman tada je odlučio da se Stipetić hitno iz Đakova prebaci za Banovinu. U Sisak je otišao u pratnji specijalne policije i oklopnih vozila kako bi se osigurao da će se primopredaja zapovjedništva izvršiti na miran način. Kako kaže, nije htio biti imenovan na tu poziciju, ali predsjednik je već bio odlučio.

Čin predaje 21. kordunskog korpusa smatra se završetkom Oluje i rata. Joško Morić, tada bivši pomoćnik ministra unutarnjih poslova, za RTL je prošle godine objasnio koliko je bilo važno postići dogovor sa srpskom vojskom. 

- Bilo je jako važno zbog eksplozivne atmosfere. S jedne strane se kod poraženog osjećao adrenalin zbog straha i neizvjesnosti. A kod nas pobjednika se osjećao adrenalin ponosa i ushit. Osim toga, kod nas se, na našoj pobjedničkoj strani osjećao pritisak da se to brže rješava jer ako se oteže da se ulazi u neku vrstu neizvjesnosti - prisjetio se Morić.  

General Stipetić preminuo je 14. ožujka 2018. godine, a o njegovoj životnoj priči novinar Hrvoje Zovko snimio je film naziva "General i džentlmen".

Na današnji dan, 8. kolovoza 1995. godine pukovnik Čedo Bulat, zapovjednik 21. korpusa Srpske vojske Krajine predao se pomoćniku načelnika Glavnog stožera generalu Petru Stipetiću. Tim potezom i predajom korpusa od gotovo pet tisuća vojnika završena je akcija Oluja.

Na haubi automobila potpisana je predaja, a ta je fotografija ušla u povijest. O Bulatu koji mu je bio i vojnički kolega, Stipetić je imao visoko mišljenje.

'Bio mi je prijatelj'

- Susret je bio kod motela Brijuni kod Topuskog. Sam taj susret i kontakt i mene je umnogome iznenadio, jer se pojavio moj prijatelj Čedo Bulat. On mi je bio podčinjen u V. vojnoj oblasti. Kako ga od tada nisam vidio, nisam ni znao da je zapovjednik 21. kordunskog korpusa. Mi smo stigli iz UNPROFORove baze ukrajinskog bataljona u Glini, a on je došao iz pravca Topuskog. Naš susret bio je na cesti. Zaustavili smo vozila na 50-ak metara. Izašao sam iz vozila i gledam, s druge strane iz vozila izlazi Čedo. Kad me ugledao, počeo je gaziti strojevim korakom. Krenuo sam prema njemu i stali smo na šest koraka jedan od drugog. Propisno je pozdravio, ja odzdravio i on je podnio prijavak ovim riječima: “Gospodine generale, pukovnik Čedo Bulat, zapovjednik 21. kordunskog korpusa, predajem vam korpus i čestitam hrvatskoj vojsci na pobjedi.” Čedo pozdravlja, ja odzdravljam, a onda sam mu prišao. Pružio sam mu ruku i pitao ga kako je. A on je rekao: ”A što da ti kažem? Nikako!” - kazao je Stipetić u intervjuu za Express iz 2010. godine kada je dodao da je Bulat bio korektan časnik, koji po tadašnjim regulama radio svoj posao.

Zamijenio Basarca

Zanimljivo je i da Stipetić uopće nije trebao biti u "Oluji". Cijelu operaciju na Banovini je tada vodio Ivan Basarac koji je htio brzim napadom osloboditi tada okupiranu Petrinju, ali njegov se plan izjalovio jer su neprijateljske snage bile dobro pripremljene. Predsjednik Franjo Tuđman tada je odlučio da se Stipetić hitno iz Đakova prebaci za Banovinu. U Sisak je otišao u pratnji specijalne policije i oklopnih vozila kako bi se osigurao da će se primopredaja zapovjedništva izvršiti na miran način. Kako kaže, nije htio biti imenovan na tu poziciju, ali predsjednik je već bio odlučio.

Čin predaje 21. kordunskog korpusa smatra se završetkom Oluje i rata. Joško Morić, tada bivši pomoćnik ministra unutarnjih poslova, za RTL je prošle godine objasnio koliko je bilo važno postići dogovor sa srpskom vojskom. 

- Bilo je jako važno zbog eksplozivne atmosfere. S jedne strane se kod poraženog osjećao adrenalin zbog straha i neizvjesnosti. A kod nas pobjednika se osjećao adrenalin ponosa i ushit. Osim toga, kod nas se, na našoj pobjedničkoj strani osjećao pritisak da se to brže rješava jer ako se oteže da se ulazi u neku vrstu neizvjesnosti - prisjetio se Morić.  

General Stipetić preminuo je 14. ožujka 2018. godine, a o njegovoj životnoj priči novinar Hrvoje Zovko snimio je film naziva "General i džentlmen".
