 Krešo Beljak u subotu je na izbornoj Glavnoj skupštini Hrvatske seljačke stranke (HSS) ponovno izabran za predsjednika HSS-a.  Izabran je s 524 glasa, nije bilo protiv, a nevažećih listića bilo je 83. 
Beljak je delegatima, predstavljajući prije glasanja svoju kandidaturu, rekao kako vjeruje u budućnost HSS-a i u sve njih.
- Vjerujem da svi zajedno možemo i moramo vrlo brzo ponovno pretvoriti HSS u elitnu hrvatsku političku stranku, kojoj će se vjerovati i koja će opet stajati na braniku hrvatske državnosti i hrvatskih nacionalnih interesa, rekao je Beljak. Istaknuo je da će svi zajedno u idućem četverogodišnjem razdoblju udariti temelje novoj politici HSS-a, čuvajući njene temeljne tradicije.
Krešo Beljak rođen je u Brežicama, u Sloveniji, 22. kolovoza 1971., a odrastao je u Samoboru, u gradu u kojem je gradonačelnik i gdje živi sa suprugom i troje djece. Na Prirodoslovno matematičkom  fakulteta u Zagrebu stekao je zvanje magistra edukacije geografije, a prošle godine je na poslijediplomskom  specijalističkom studiju Vanjske politike i diplomacije na zagrebačkom Fakultetu političkih znanosti obranio završni rad na temu "Vanjska politika Hrvatske seljačke stranke". Bio je aktivni sudionik Domovinskog rata kao pripadnik ratne postrojbe 151. samoborske brigade (1990. do 1992.). Član je Hrvatske seljačke stranke je od 2003. godine, prije toga nije se bavio politikom. Za predsjednika HSS-a izabran je prvi put 19. ožujka 2016. Na parlamentarnim izborima u rujnu 2016. HSS u sastavu Narodne koalicije, predvođene SDP-om, osvaja pet saborskih mandata. Krešo Beljak postao je zastupnik u Hrvatskom saboru.

 Krešo Beljak u subotu je na izbornoj Glavnoj skupštini Hrvatske seljačke stranke (HSS) ponovno izabran za predsjednika HSS-a.  Izabran je s 524 glasa, nije bilo protiv, a nevažećih listića bilo je 83. 
Beljak je delegatima, predstavljajući prije glasanja svoju kandidaturu, rekao kako vjeruje u budućnost HSS-a i u sve njih.
- Vjerujem da svi zajedno možemo i moramo vrlo brzo ponovno pretvoriti HSS u elitnu hrvatsku političku stranku, kojoj će se vjerovati i koja će opet stajati na braniku hrvatske državnosti i hrvatskih nacionalnih interesa, rekao je Beljak. Istaknuo je da će svi zajedno u idućem četverogodišnjem razdoblju udariti temelje novoj politici HSS-a, čuvajući njene temeljne tradicije.
Krešo Beljak rođen je u Brežicama, u Sloveniji, 22. kolovoza 1971., a odrastao je u Samoboru, u gradu u kojem je gradonačelnik i gdje živi sa suprugom i troje djece. Na Prirodoslovno matematičkom  fakulteta u Zagrebu stekao je zvanje magistra edukacije geografije, a prošle godine je na poslijediplomskom  specijalističkom studiju Vanjske politike i diplomacije na zagrebačkom Fakultetu političkih znanosti obranio završni rad na temu "Vanjska politika Hrvatske seljačke stranke". Bio je aktivni sudionik Domovinskog rata kao pripadnik ratne postrojbe 151. samoborske brigade (1990. do 1992.). Član je Hrvatske seljačke stranke je od 2003. godine, prije toga nije se bavio politikom. Za predsjednika HSS-a izabran je prvi put 19. ožujka 2016. Na parlamentarnim izborima u rujnu 2016. HSS u sastavu Narodne koalicije, predvođene SDP-om, osvaja pet saborskih mandata. Krešo Beljak postao je zastupnik u Hrvatskom saboru.

 Krešo Beljak u subotu je na izbornoj Glavnoj skupštini Hrvatske seljačke stranke (HSS) ponovno izabran za predsjednika HSS-a.  Izabran je s 524 glasa, nije bilo protiv, a nevažećih listića bilo je 83.
