Dok znanstvenici diljem svijeta vode bitku s vremenom kako što prije pronaći efikasno cjepivo, raznim privremenim mjerama pokušava se zaustaviti i staviti pod kontrolu širenje virusa. Što je dovelo do takvog eksponencijalnog širenja virusa i kako ga zaustaviti, u HRT-ovom Studiju 4 otkriva naš istaknuti znanstvenik i lovac na viruse Ivan Đikić.
Zašto je došlo do ponovnog strelovitog rasta broja zaraženih u Europi, ali i svijetu?
- Prvenstveno je došlo zato što postoji dobar medije za širenje virusa - ljudi su u zatvorenim prostorijama, ljudi su bliži, tijekom ljeta smo imali širenje virusa za koje nismo znali. Početkom rujna nismo na vrijeme reagirali u Europi da bi spriječili širenje virusa, rekao je Đikić dodavši da vjeruje da se širenje virusa moglo spriječiti da smo ranije reagirali, bili oprezniji i radili na edukaciji građana.
Kaže kako je u redu da su se građani opustili ali da se vlade nisu smjele opustiti, vlade su trebale raditi širom Europe da budu ispred virusa.
- Kada virus se širi tako da nema žarišta, trebaju druge mjere ne konvencionalne, poručio je.
Jučer je objavljeno jedno istraživanje koje pokazuje da je virus mutirao. Može li to biti razlog?
- Primijetili smo da postoji oko 40-ak mutacija, najčešća je jedna koja se prvi put pojavila u Italiji i preko 90 posto svih virusa ima tu mutaciju. Ovo iz Španjolske se dogodilo tijekom ljeta, imamo sreću da ne erektira patogenost, ali izgleda se vrlo brzo proširila.
Je li zbog toga zarazniji i uzrokuje li teže oblike bolesti?
- Zarazniji je, ali manje pogubniji, čini se prema sadašnjim podacima, rekao je Đikić.
Je li realno očekivati vrhunac epidemije u Hrvatskoj kako je to jučer najavio i premijer, za dva do tri tjedna?
- Teško je ovako predviđati. To će ovisiti najviše o ponašanju građana. Ne moramo imati policijski sat, ali moramo održavati distancu, moramo osigurati da na radnim mjestima ljudi budu zaštićeni, da svi nose maske, da imamo dovoljno prostora. S takvim mjerama možemo puno više postići.
U Hrvatskoj je jako dobro što imamo kvalitetan medicinski kadar, to je nevjerojatno što ti ljudi rade s obzirom na tehniku i prostor. Ono što nije dobro je to što tijekom ljeta nismo uveli nove tehnologije, dovoljno testiranja. Istaknuo bi i lošu komunikaciju s građanima, poruke nisu dobre, rekao je.

Dok znanstvenici diljem svijeta vode bitku s vremenom kako što prije pronaći efikasno cjepivo, raznim privremenim mjerama pokušava se zaustaviti i staviti pod kontrolu širenje virusa. Što je dovelo do takvog eksponencijalnog širenja virusa i kako ga zaustaviti, u HRT-ovom Studiju 4 otkriva naš istaknuti znanstvenik i lovac na viruse Ivan Đikić.
Zašto je došlo do ponovnog strelovitog rasta broja zaraženih u Europi, ali i svijetu?
- Prvenstveno je došlo zato što postoji dobar medije za širenje virusa - ljudi su u zatvorenim prostorijama, ljudi su bliži, tijekom ljeta smo imali širenje virusa za koje nismo znali. Početkom rujna nismo na vrijeme reagirali u Europi da bi spriječili širenje virusa, rekao je Đikić dodavši da vjeruje da se širenje virusa moglo spriječiti da smo ranije reagirali, bili oprezniji i radili na edukaciji građana.
Kaže kako je u redu da su se građani opustili ali da se vlade nisu smjele opustiti, vlade su trebale raditi širom Europe da budu ispred virusa.
- Kada virus se širi tako da nema žarišta, trebaju druge mjere ne konvencionalne, poručio je.
Jučer je objavljeno jedno istraživanje koje pokazuje da je virus mutirao. Može li to biti razlog?
- Primijetili smo da postoji oko 40-ak mutacija, najčešća je jedna koja se prvi put pojavila u Italiji i preko 90 posto svih virusa ima tu mutaciju. Ovo iz Španjolske se dogodilo tijekom ljeta, imamo sreću da ne erektira patogenost, ali izgleda se vrlo brzo proširila.
Je li zbog toga zarazniji i uzrokuje li teže oblike bolesti?
- Zarazniji je, ali manje pogubniji, čini se prema sadašnjim podacima, rekao je Đikić.
Je li realno očekivati vrhunac epidemije u Hrvatskoj kako je to jučer najavio i premijer, za dva do tri tjedna?
- Teško je ovako predviđati. To će ovisiti najviše o ponašanju građana. Ne moramo imati policijski sat, ali moramo održavati distancu, moramo osigurati da na radnim mjestima ljudi budu zaštićeni, da svi nose maske, da imamo dovoljno prostora. S takvim mjerama možemo puno više postići.
U Hrvatskoj je jako dobro što imamo kvalitetan medicinski kadar, to je nevjerojatno što ti ljudi rade s obzirom na tehniku i prostor. Ono što nije dobro je to što tijekom ljeta nismo uveli nove tehnologije, dovoljno testiranja. Istaknuo bi i lošu komunikaciju s građanima, poruke nisu dobre, rekao je.
