”Toni Kukoč je svestrani košarkaš, ali ima veliku manu – nedovoljno je sebičan!” Tu misao napisao je autor ovih redaka u nekad popularnoj “Nedjeljnoj Dalmaciji”, koja je sadržavala košarkašku rubriku s provokativnim naslovom “Slobodna bockanja”. Na Gripama, koje su tada imale epitet najbolje europske momčadi, nisu bili baš zadovoljni tom konstatacijom. Samo nam je trener “žutih”, Beograđanin Božo Maljković, poslao poruku “U pravu ste!”

Možda se toga ne bismo sjetili da nismo gledali TV prijenos Cibona – Šibenka (74:64), kad je već na prvi pogled, posebice u drugom poluvremenu, i laiku bilo jasno kako gostima manjka iskusni i pomalo sebični šuter. Vanjski igrač, koji neće baš tako lako, kad se lomi rezultat, promašiti otvoreni šut ili neće spojiti promašaje u nizu (1-8) kao novajlija Jake Kakar, kad su “tricama” Šibenčani mogli dovesti utakmicu na rub iznenađenja.

Loš postotak

Loš postotak (8/33) preciznosti u dalekometnim pogocima ne može, međutim, promijeniti temeljni dojam o tome da Šibenka ove godine igra neku drugačiju, suvremeniju i brzu košarku. Da se itekako ćuti prostor za napredovanje mlađih igrača, kao jedinog puta povratka staroj slavi. Ne treba, naime, unatoč površnim i zločestim pričama o “legiji stranaca”, smetnuti s uma da su “narančasti” u danima najvećih uspjeha imali u svom kadru nemali broj domaćih igrača. Uz nedostižnog Dražena Petrovića, tu su bili Predrag Šarić, Nenad Slavica, Fabjan i Ivica Žurić, Robert Jablan, Boris Kulušić, Damir Damjanić… Uostalom, teško je itko mogao smatrati fureštim dva šibenska zeta Bruna Petanija i kapetana Željka Marelju, koji su bacili sidro u šibenskoj luci, te u njoj ostali privezani do danas.

Možda sve to ne bismo ni spominjali da se ambiciozno vodstvo Šibenke ne sprema na dostojan način ne samo obilježiti 40. obljetnicu famozne utakmice (i otete titule prvaka) Šibenka – Bosna (83:82), već i 50. obljetnicu kluba, koji je kasne jeseni 1973. godine promijenio dvije bitne stvari. Ime kluba iz “Partizana” u “Šibenku”, te neiscrpno košarkaško leglo u Mimincu za novu dvoranu na Baldekinu.

U tome su itekako složni aktualni predsjednik Ante Nakić, tajnik Domagoj Bašić i košarkaški zanesenjaci Nikola Grubić, Zdravko Bogdan, Krešimir i Nino Lokas… To je, konačno, i prilika da se na jednome mjestu nađu oni koji su stvarali slavnu Šibenku, a koji, ruku na srce, nisu bili uvijek spremni participirati u manifestacijama što su jasno podsjećale na dubok trag Baldekina u hrvatskoj košarci, pa i šire.

Klanjam se Baldekinu

– Vječno se klanjam Baldekinu. Tamo je, pritisnut s dva susjedna velika središta, kao gljiva poslije kiše narastao veliki klub. Bez ikakva kompleksa Šibenčani su žurili prema hrvatskim, jugoslavenskim i europskim vrhovima. Povijest nas uči da je Šibenka brže od svih dalmatinskih klubova došla do europskih polufinala. Baldekin nije prestajao s proizvodnjom ni prije ni poslije Dražena. Od Ivice Žurića do Predraga i Darija Šarića, od Nenada Slavice do Mira Jurića – tako nam je koju godinu prije svoje smrti kazivao legendarni Splićanin Petar Skansi, koji je vodio reprezentaciju Hrvatske do nezaboravnog srebra na Olimpijskim igrama 1992. u Barceloni.

Skansijeva izjava podsvjesno izaziva tezu kako mi Šibenčani manje cijenimo sebe i svoje sportske rezultate nego sportski djelatnici iz drugih sredina. Je li vrijeme da prestanemo s tom praksom!? I ovaj je tekst doprinos nekom novom vjetru. Uz napomenu da potpisnik ovih redova ne bježi ni od svojih (košarkaških) grijeha.

”Toni Kukoč je svestrani košarkaš, ali ima veliku manu – nedovoljno je sebičan!” Tu misao napisao je autor ovih redaka u nekad popularnoj “Nedjeljnoj Dalmaciji”, koja je sadržavala košarkašku rubriku s provokativnim naslovom “Slobodna bockanja”. Na Gripama, koje su tada imale epitet najbolje europske momčadi, nisu bili baš zadovoljni tom konstatacijom. Samo nam je trener “žutih”, Beograđanin Božo Maljković, poslao poruku “U pravu ste!”

Možda se toga ne bismo sjetili da nismo gledali TV prijenos Cibona – Šibenka (74:64), kad je već na prvi pogled, posebice u drugom poluvremenu, i laiku bilo jasno kako gostima manjka iskusni i pomalo sebični šuter. Vanjski igrač, koji neće baš tako lako, kad se lomi rezultat, promašiti otvoreni šut ili neće spojiti promašaje u nizu (1-8) kao novajlija Jake Kakar, kad su “tricama” Šibenčani mogli dovesti utakmicu na rub iznenađenja.

Loš postotak

Loš postotak (8/33) preciznosti u dalekometnim pogocima ne može, međutim, promijeniti temeljni dojam o tome da Šibenka ove godine igra neku drugačiju, suvremeniju i brzu košarku. Da se itekako ćuti prostor za napredovanje mlađih igrača, kao jedinog puta povratka staroj slavi. Ne treba, naime, unatoč površnim i zločestim pričama o “legiji stranaca”, smetnuti s uma da su “narančasti” u danima najvećih uspjeha imali u svom kadru nemali broj domaćih igrača. Uz nedostižnog Dražena Petrovića, tu su bili Predrag Šarić, Nenad Slavica, Fabjan i Ivica Žurić, Robert Jablan, Boris Kulušić, Damir Damjanić… Uostalom, teško je itko mogao smatrati fureštim dva šibenska zeta Bruna Petanija i kapetana Željka Marelju, koji su bacili sidro u šibenskoj luci, te u njoj ostali privezani do danas.

Možda sve to ne bismo ni spominjali da se ambiciozno vodstvo Šibenke ne sprema na dostojan način ne samo obilježiti 40. obljetnicu famozne utakmice (i otete titule prvaka) Šibenka – Bosna (83:82), već i 50. obljetnicu kluba, koji je kasne jeseni 1973. godine promijenio dvije bitne stvari. Ime kluba iz “Partizana” u “Šibenku”, te neiscrpno košarkaško leglo u Mimincu za novu dvoranu na Baldekinu.

U tome su itekako složni aktualni predsjednik Ante Nakić, tajnik Domagoj Bašić i košarkaški zanesenjaci Nikola Grubić, Zdravko Bogdan, Krešimir i Nino Lokas… To je, konačno, i prilika da se na jednome mjestu nađu oni koji su stvarali slavnu Šibenku, a koji, ruku na srce, nisu bili uvijek spremni participirati u manifestacijama što su jasno podsjećale na dubok trag Baldekina u hrvatskoj košarci, pa i šire.

Klanjam se Baldekinu

– Vječno se klanjam Baldekinu. Tamo je, pritisnut s dva susjedna velika središta, kao gljiva poslije kiše narastao veliki klub. Bez ikakva kompleksa Šibenčani su žurili prema hrvatskim, jugoslavenskim i europskim vrhovima. Povijest nas uči da je Šibenka brže od svih dalmatinskih klubova došla do europskih polufinala. Baldekin nije prestajao s proizvodnjom ni prije ni poslije Dražena. Od Ivice Žurića do Predraga i Darija Šarića, od Nenada Slavice do Mira Jurića – tako nam je koju godinu prije svoje smrti kazivao legendarni Splićanin Petar Skansi, koji je vodio reprezentaciju Hrvatske do nezaboravnog srebra na Olimpijskim igrama 1992. u Barceloni.

Skansijeva izjava podsvjesno izaziva tezu kako mi Šibenčani manje cijenimo sebe i svoje sportske rezultate nego sportski djelatnici iz drugih sredina. Je li vrijeme da prestanemo s tom praksom!? I ovaj je tekst doprinos nekom novom vjetru. Uz napomenu da potpisnik ovih redova ne bježi ni od svojih (košarkaških) grijeha.

”Toni Kukoč je svestrani košarkaš, ali ima veliku manu – nedovoljno je sebičan!” Tu misao napisao je autor ovih redaka u nekad popularnoj “Nedjeljnoj Dalmaciji”, koja je sadržavala košarkašku rubriku s provokativnim naslovom “Slobodna bockanja”. Na Gripama, koje su tada imale epitet najbolje europske momčadi, nisu bili baš zadovoljni tom konstatacijom. Samo nam je trener “žutih”, Beograđanin Božo Maljković, poslao poruku “U pravu ste!”

Možda se toga ne bismo sjetili da nismo gledali TV prijenos Cibona – Šibenka (74:64), kad je već na prvi pogled, posebice u drugom poluvremenu, i laiku bilo jasno kako gostima manjka iskusni i pomalo sebični šuter.
