Tri metra dugačko mladunče bjeloglavog kita oslobođeno je u ponedjeljak nakon što se nasukalo u Temzi, zapadno od Londona, no život mu visi o koncu jer je riječ o osjetljivom mladunčetu koje je daleko od doma, izvijestila je londonska Lučka kapetanija. 

Specijalni tim spasilaca iz Londonske lučke uprave Kraljevskoga nacionalnog instituta za spašavanje (RNLI), članovi britanske organizacije za spašavanje morskih sisavaca, Londonske vatrogasne postrojbe i policija satima su tijekom noći bili angažirani na oslobađanju mladunca. 

Oko ponoći su uspjeli premjestiti kita na specijalni ponton na napuhavanje te su ga vukli više kilometra nizvodno od brane Richmond. Kitovo mladunče potom je skliznulo s pontona i tada je posljednji put viđeno kako slobodno pliva rijekom.

"Nevelik je to uspjeh..., naime životinja više nije zarobljena na betonu, no život joj 'visi o koncu' s obzirom na to da je ozlijeđena, da je vrlo mlada i tako je daleko od doma", rekao je glasnogovornik londonske Lučke kapetanije, Martin Garside. 

Pojasnio je da je životinja stigla sa sjevernog područja Sjevernog mora, što znači da je od mjesta na kojemu bi se trebala nalaziti udaljena više stotina kilometara. Dodao je i da spasioci u blizini nisu uočili mladunčetovu majku.

Ova je vrsta kita najmanja je od svih bjeloglavih kitova, a može narasti između 8 i 9 metara. Preferira hladnije temperature.

Tri metra dugačko mladunče bjeloglavog kita oslobođeno je u ponedjeljak nakon što se nasukalo u Temzi, zapadno od Londona, no život mu visi o koncu jer je riječ o osjetljivom mladunčetu koje je daleko od doma, izvijestila je londonska Lučka kapetanija. 

Specijalni tim spasilaca iz Londonske lučke uprave Kraljevskoga nacionalnog instituta za spašavanje (RNLI), članovi britanske organizacije za spašavanje morskih sisavaca, Londonske vatrogasne postrojbe i policija satima su tijekom noći bili angažirani na oslobađanju mladunca. 

Oko ponoći su uspjeli premjestiti kita na specijalni ponton na napuhavanje te su ga vukli više kilometra nizvodno od brane Richmond. Kitovo mladunče potom je skliznulo s pontona i tada je posljednji put viđeno kako slobodno pliva rijekom.

"Nevelik je to uspjeh..., naime životinja više nije zarobljena na betonu, no život joj 'visi o koncu' s obzirom na to da je ozlijeđena, da je vrlo mlada i tako je daleko od doma", rekao je glasnogovornik londonske Lučke kapetanije, Martin Garside. 

Pojasnio je da je životinja stigla sa sjevernog područja Sjevernog mora, što znači da je od mjesta na kojemu bi se trebala nalaziti udaljena više stotina kilometara. Dodao je i da spasioci u blizini nisu uočili mladunčetovu majku.

Ova je vrsta kita najmanja je od svih bjeloglavih kitova, a može narasti između 8 i 9 metara. Preferira hladnije temperature.

Tri metra dugačko mladunče bjeloglavog kita oslobođeno je u ponedjeljak nakon što se nasukalo u Temzi, zapadno od Londona, no život mu visi o koncu jer je riječ o osjetljivom mladunčetu koje je daleko od doma, izvijestila je londonska Lučka kapetanija. 

Specijalni tim spasilaca iz Londonske lučke uprave Kraljevskoga nacionalnog instituta za spašavanje (RNLI), članovi britanske organizacije za spašavanje morskih sisavaca, Londonske vatrogasne postrojbe i policija satima su tijekom noći bili angažirani na oslobađanju mladunca. 

Oko ponoći su uspjeli premjestiti kita na specijalni ponton na napuhavanje te su ga vukli više kilometra nizvodno od brane Richmond. Kitovo mladunče potom je skliznulo s pontona i tada je posljednji put viđeno kako slobodno pliva rijekom.

"Nevelik je to uspjeh..., naime životinja više nije zarobljena na betonu, no život joj 'visi o koncu' s obzirom na to da je ozlijeđena, da je vrlo mlada i tako je daleko od doma", rekao je glasnogovornik londonske Lučke kapetanije, Martin Garside. 

Pojasnio je da je životinja stigla sa sjevernog područja Sjevernog mora, što znači da je od mjesta na kojemu bi se trebala nalaziti udaljena više stotina kilometara. Dodao je i da spasioci u blizini nisu uočili mladunčetovu majku.

Ova je vrsta kita najmanja je od svih bjeloglavih kitova, a može narasti između 8 i 9 metara. Preferira hladnije temperature.
