Da bi imao nultu emisiju ugljičnog dioksida do 2030. godine, Panamski kanal je pokrenuo proces dekarbonizacije.

Ricaurte Vasquez Morales, administrator Panamskog kanala, smatra da će proces dekarbonizacije biti rezultat ”temeljne strategije dugoročnog rada i održivosti plovnog puta”, prenosi Pomorac.hr.

Dodao je da će se proces ostvariti preko dugogodišnjih napora koji će se uložiti da bi se minimizirao negativan utjecaj na okoliš. To uključuje omogućavanje brodarima da koriste čista goriva i smanje svoj ugljični otisak.

Panamski kanal već radi na smanjivanju globalnog ugljičnog otiska; do sada je pridonio smanjenju za više od 13 milijuna tona emisije u 2020. godini. Razlog tome može biti ekonomska održivost suvremenog brodarstva, tj. skraćivanje rute za brodove u usporedbi s najvjerojatnijim alternativnim putovima, povezujući Atlantski ocean s Tihim. Sada se radi na tome da se operacije u kanalu provedu s nultom emisijom ugljičnog dioksida.    

Još od 2013. godine u kanalu se prati količina ugljičnog otiska te se provode i ostali planovi u skladu sa smanjenjem emisija i prilagodbom klimatskim promjenama.

Tvrtka je dobila stvarni poticaj kada je 2017. godine tvrtka lansirala svoj kalkulator emisija; praktičan alat koji brodske tvrtke koriste za procjenu uštede svojih emisija stakleničkih plinova u usporedbi s alternativnim plovnim putem koji ne prolazi kroz Panamski kanal.

I, najvažnije, kalkulatorom se može izvršiti jača analiza emisija proizvedenih svakodnevnim operacijama omogućujući praćenje podataka u stvarnom vremenu.

Administrator Panamskog kanala, Ricaurte Vasquez Morales izjavio je:

”Mi u Panamskom kanalu zalažemo se za održivost. Iz tog razloga postavljamo temelje, stvaramo alate i identificiramo promjene potrebne za postizanje učinkovitosti."

Kako bi se smanjio utjecaj na okoliš, u Panamskom kanalu pronašli su načine koji imaju za cilj maksimalizaciju operativne, a time i ekološke učinkovitosti kanala. Učinili su to kroz mjere očuvanja vode i optimiziranjem tranzita, prenosi Pomorac.hr.

Da bi imao nultu emisiju ugljičnog dioksida do 2030. godine, Panamski kanal je pokrenuo proces dekarbonizacije.

Ricaurte Vasquez Morales, administrator Panamskog kanala, smatra da će proces dekarbonizacije biti rezultat ”temeljne strategije dugoročnog rada i održivosti plovnog puta”, prenosi Pomorac.hr.

Dodao je da će se proces ostvariti preko dugogodišnjih napora koji će se uložiti da bi se minimizirao negativan utjecaj na okoliš. To uključuje omogućavanje brodarima da koriste čista goriva i smanje svoj ugljični otisak.

Panamski kanal već radi na smanjivanju globalnog ugljičnog otiska; do sada je pridonio smanjenju za više od 13 milijuna tona emisije u 2020. godini. Razlog tome može biti ekonomska održivost suvremenog brodarstva, tj. skraćivanje rute za brodove u usporedbi s najvjerojatnijim alternativnim putovima, povezujući Atlantski ocean s Tihim. Sada se radi na tome da se operacije u kanalu provedu s nultom emisijom ugljičnog dioksida.    

Još od 2013. godine u kanalu se prati količina ugljičnog otiska te se provode i ostali planovi u skladu sa smanjenjem emisija i prilagodbom klimatskim promjenama.

Tvrtka je dobila stvarni poticaj kada je 2017. godine tvrtka lansirala svoj kalkulator emisija; praktičan alat koji brodske tvrtke koriste za procjenu uštede svojih emisija stakleničkih plinova u usporedbi s alternativnim plovnim putem koji ne prolazi kroz Panamski kanal.

I, najvažnije, kalkulatorom se može izvršiti jača analiza emisija proizvedenih svakodnevnim operacijama omogućujući praćenje podataka u stvarnom vremenu.

Administrator Panamskog kanala, Ricaurte Vasquez Morales izjavio je:

”Mi u Panamskom kanalu zalažemo se za održivost. Iz tog razloga postavljamo temelje, stvaramo alate i identificiramo promjene potrebne za postizanje učinkovitosti."

Kako bi se smanjio utjecaj na okoliš, u Panamskom kanalu pronašli su načine koji imaju za cilj maksimalizaciju operativne, a time i ekološke učinkovitosti kanala. Učinili su to kroz mjere očuvanja vode i optimiziranjem tranzita, prenosi Pomorac.hr.

Da bi imao nultu emisiju ugljičnog dioksida do 2030. godine, Panamski kanal je pokrenuo proces dekarbonizacije.

Ricaurte Vasquez Morales, administrator Panamskog kanala, smatra da će proces dekarbonizacije biti rezultat ”temeljne strategije dugoročnog rada i održivosti plovnog puta”, prenosi Pomorac.hr.

Dodao je da će se proces ostvariti preko dugogodišnjih napora koji će se uložiti da bi se minimizirao negativan utjecaj na okoliš. To uključuje omogućavanje brodarima da koriste čista goriva i smanje svoj ugljični otisak.

Panamski kanal već radi na smanjivanju globalnog ugljičnog otiska; do sada je pridonio smanjenju za više od 13 milijuna tona emisije u 2020. godini. Razlog tome može biti ekonomska održivost suvremenog brodarstva, tj. skraćivanje rute za brodove u usporedbi s najvjerojatnijim alternativnim putovima, povezujući Atlantski ocean s Tihim. Sada se radi na tome da se operacije u kanalu provedu s nultom emisijom ugljičnog dioksida.    

Još od 2013. godine u kanalu se prati količina ugljičnog otiska te se provode i ostali planovi u skladu sa smanjenjem emisija i prilagodbom klimatskim promjenama.

Tvrtka je dobila stvarni poticaj kada je 2017. godine tvrtka lansirala svoj kalkulator emisija; praktičan alat koji brodske tvrtke koriste za procjenu uštede svojih emisija stakleničkih plinova u usporedbi s alternativnim plovnim putem koji ne prolazi kroz Panamski kanal.

I, najvažnije, kalkulatorom se može izvršiti jača analiza emisija proizvedenih svakodnevnim operacijama omogućujući praćenje podataka u stvarnom vremenu.

Administrator Panamskog kanala, Ricaurte Vasquez Morales izjavio je:

”Mi u Panamskom kanalu zalažemo se za održivost. Iz tog razloga postavljamo temelje, stvaramo alate i identificiramo promjene potrebne za postizanje učinkovitosti."

Kako bi se smanjio utjecaj na okoliš, u Panamskom kanalu pronašli su načine koji imaju za cilj maksimalizaciju operativne, a time i ekološke učinkovitosti kanala. Učinili su to kroz mjere očuvanja vode i optimiziranjem tranzita, prenosi Pomorac.hr.
