U brodogradilištu Samsung/DSME u Geojeu kraj Busana u Južnoj Koreji za predstavnike medija održana je prezentacija broda HMM St. Petersburg, koji spada među najveće kontejneraše na svijetu. U tijeku su završni radovi i krajem rujna će biti isporučen vlasniku, kompaniji Hyundai Merchant Marine. HMM St. Petersburg je dug 400 m, što je 100 m više od Eiffelova tornja, širok je 61 i visok 33,2 m. Kapacitet mu je 23,820 TEU pa iz HMM-a kažu da u njega može stati 7 milijardi korejskih čokoladica, praktički po jedna za svakog stanovnika na planetu.
Unatoč veličini, Korejci tvrde da je njihov kontejneraš toliko automatiziran da će na njemu biti samo 23 člana posade. St. Petersburg je dvanaesti model ove klase HMM 24,000-TEU kontejneraša (devet ih već plovi), a maksimalna brzina će mu biti 22 čvora. Sedam je ugovorio Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering, dok ih pet otpada na Samsung Heavy Industries. HMM je za svakoga od njih platio od 140 do 151 milijun dolara. (Ž. S.)

U brodogradilištu Samsung/DSME u Geojeu kraj Busana u Južnoj Koreji za predstavnike medija održana je prezentacija broda HMM St. Petersburg, koji spada među najveće kontejneraše na svijetu. U tijeku su završni radovi i krajem rujna će biti isporučen vlasniku, kompaniji Hyundai Merchant Marine. HMM St. Petersburg je dug 400 m, što je 100 m više od Eiffelova tornja, širok je 61 i visok 33,2 m. Kapacitet mu je 23,820 TEU pa iz HMM-a kažu da u njega može stati 7 milijardi korejskih čokoladica, praktički po jedna za svakog stanovnika na planetu.
Unatoč veličini, Korejci tvrde da je njihov kontejneraš toliko automatiziran da će na njemu biti samo 23 člana posade. St. Petersburg je dvanaesti model ove klase HMM 24,000-TEU kontejneraša (devet ih već plovi), a maksimalna brzina će mu biti 22 čvora. Sedam je ugovorio Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering, dok ih pet otpada na Samsung Heavy Industries. HMM je za svakoga od njih platio od 140 do 151 milijun dolara. (Ž. S.)

KOREJASt. Petersburg će biti jedan od najvećih kontejneraša na svijetu i u njega stane 7 milijardi čokoladica

U brodogradilištu Samsung/DSME u Geojeu kraj Busana u Južnoj Koreji za predstavnike medija održana je prezentacija broda HMM St. Petersburg, koji spada među najveće kontejneraše na svijetu. U tijeku su završni radovi i krajem rujna će biti isporučen vlasniku, kompaniji Hyundai Merchant Marine. HMM St. Petersburg je dug 400 m, što je 100 m više od Eiffelova tornja, širok je 61 i visok 33,2 m. Kapacitet mu je 23,820 TEU pa iz HMM-a kažu da u njega može stati 7 milijardi korejskih čokoladica, praktički po jedna za svakog stanovnika na planetu.
Unatoč veličini, Korejci tvrde da je njihov kontejneraš toliko automatiziran da će na njemu biti samo 23 člana posade. St. Petersburg je dvanaesti model ove klase HMM 24,000-TEU kontejneraša (devet ih već plovi), a maksimalna brzina će mu biti 22 čvora. Sedam je ugovorio Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering, dok ih pet otpada na Samsung Heavy Industries. HMM je za svakoga od njih platio od 140 do 151 milijun dolara. (Ž. S.)
