Tegljenje gorućeg teretnog broda s tisućama automobila uz nizozemsku obalu počelo je u nedjelju, dan kasnije nego što se očekivalo zbog vjetra, objavile su vlasti, dodajući da je požar na brodu "znatno" smanjio intenzitet.
Kretanje Fremantle Highway "započelo je u ranim poslijepodnevnim satima", gotovo pet dana nakon početka požara, objavio je nizozemski Nacionalni institut za upravljanje vodama (Rijkswaterstaat), u priopćenju za javnost.
Rekao je da je bilo "znatno manje dima ovog poslijepodneva" na teretnom brodu koji plovi pod panamskom zastavom. Po podacima prijevozničke tvrtke K Line koja ga unajmila, brod prevozi 3783 nova automobila, uključujući 498 električnih vozila.
Teretni brod mora biti premješten na novu privremenu lokaciju: 16 km sjeverno od otoka Schiermonnikoog i Ameland, nekoliko desetaka kilometara istočno od svoje posljednje službene pozicije, 18 km sjeverno od Terschellinga.
Ovi nizozemski otoci protežu se između Waddenskog mora, mjesta svjetske baštine UNESCO-a s raznolikošću od više od 10 000 vodenih i kopnenih vrsta, i Sjevernog mora.
U blizini je interventni brod za naftu, navode vlasti, koje se nadaju da će na kraju odvući teretni brod u luku kako bi se izbjegla ekološka katastrofa.
Tegljenje predviđeno za subotu odgođeno je zbog jugozapadnog vjetra.
"Stabilnost broda stalno se nadzire", inzistirao je Rijkswaterstaat, koji je u petak objavio da je teretni brod netaknut ispod vodene linije.
Trajanje tegljenja ovisi "o vremenskim prilikama, razvoju dima, struji i plimi". Operacija je prethodno procijenjena na oko 14 sati.
Teretni brod od 18.500 tona napustio je njemačku luku Bremerhaven u krenuo u Port Said u Egiptu prije nego što se vrati u Singapur, svoje konačno odredište.
Uzrok požara koji je izbio u srijedu u noći nije poznat, ali se smatra da bi uzrok mogao biti jedan od električnih automobila.
Jedan od 23 člana posade koji su evakuirani je preminuo, nekoliko ih je ozlijeđeno.
Operacije gašenja požara obustavljene su u četvrtak kako bi se spriječilo destabiliziranje broda zbog količine vode koja je ulazila.

Tegljenje gorućeg teretnog broda s tisućama automobila uz nizozemsku obalu počelo je u nedjelju, dan kasnije nego što se očekivalo zbog vjetra, objavile su vlasti, dodajući da je požar na brodu "znatno" smanjio intenzitet.
Kretanje Fremantle Highway "započelo je u ranim poslijepodnevnim satima", gotovo pet dana nakon početka požara, objavio je nizozemski Nacionalni institut za upravljanje vodama (Rijkswaterstaat), u priopćenju za javnost.
Rekao je da je bilo "znatno manje dima ovog poslijepodneva" na teretnom brodu koji plovi pod panamskom zastavom. Po podacima prijevozničke tvrtke K Line koja ga unajmila, brod prevozi 3783 nova automobila, uključujući 498 električnih vozila.
Teretni brod mora biti premješten na novu privremenu lokaciju: 16 km sjeverno od otoka Schiermonnikoog i Ameland, nekoliko desetaka kilometara istočno od svoje posljednje službene pozicije, 18 km sjeverno od Terschellinga.
Ovi nizozemski otoci protežu se između Waddenskog mora, mjesta svjetske baštine UNESCO-a s raznolikošću od više od 10 000 vodenih i kopnenih vrsta, i Sjevernog mora.
U blizini je interventni brod za naftu, navode vlasti, koje se nadaju da će na kraju odvući teretni brod u luku kako bi se izbjegla ekološka katastrofa.
Tegljenje predviđeno za subotu odgođeno je zbog jugozapadnog vjetra.
"Stabilnost broda stalno se nadzire", inzistirao je Rijkswaterstaat, koji je u petak objavio da je teretni brod netaknut ispod vodene linije.
Trajanje tegljenja ovisi "o vremenskim prilikama, razvoju dima, struji i plimi". Operacija je prethodno procijenjena na oko 14 sati.
Teretni brod od 18.500 tona napustio je njemačku luku Bremerhaven u krenuo u Port Said u Egiptu prije nego što se vrati u Singapur, svoje konačno odredište.
Uzrok požara koji je izbio u srijedu u noći nije poznat, ali se smatra da bi uzrok mogao biti jedan od električnih automobila.
Jedan od 23 člana posade koji su evakuirani je preminuo, nekoliko ih je ozlijeđeno.
Operacije gašenja požara obustavljene su u četvrtak kako bi se spriječilo destabiliziranje broda zbog količine vode koja je ulazila.
