U Gibraltarskom tjesnacu orke su proteklih dana onesposobile jednu jedrilicu tako što su se zabile u nju i sklomilo joj kormilo, piše portal martime-executive.com.

U ranim jutarnjim satima početkom tjedan, posada jedrilice Larios uputila je poziv u pomoć i dojavila da im je nestalo kormilo nakon što su ih tri orke napale. Po posadu je stigao spasilački brod, dok je poslan tegljač koji je odvukao jedrilicu na popravak.

Do sada nije zabilježen smrtonosni napad orke na čovjeka u divljini, ali orke godinama napadaju jedrilice u blizini Gibraltarskog tjesnaca i obale Galicije. Samo između srpnja i listopada 2020. bilo je najmanje 40 prijavljenih incidenata s orkama koji su uključivali jedrilice u blizini Španjolske i Portugala. Napadi imaju specifičan obrazac: orke uvijek ciljaju na kormilo i često uzrokuju da se čamac zanjiše u širokom luku. Ciljana plovila uvijek su jedrilice kraće od 15 metara.

Orke narastu do 8 metara, a mogu biti teške pet tona. Biolozi koji proučavaju njihovo ponašanje smatraju kako ovakvi slučajevi ponašanja orki mogu biti uzrokovani stresom, nedostatkom hrane ili bukom kojeg proizvode motori jedrilica. Također, orke prate tune, a ukoliko im se nešto nađe na putu, mogu reagirati.

Orke su socijalno iznimno inteligentne životinje pa je njihovo ponašanje nepredvidivo, podložno situaciji i okruženju u kojem se nađu. Preporuka je jedriličarima da se udalje kada ih vide ili jave njihovu lokaciju kako bi se izbjegli incidenti.

U Gibraltarskom tjesnacu orke su proteklih dana onesposobile jednu jedrilicu tako što su se zabile u nju i sklomilo joj kormilo, piše portal martime-executive.com.

U ranim jutarnjim satima početkom tjedan, posada jedrilice Larios uputila je poziv u pomoć i dojavila da im je nestalo kormilo nakon što su ih tri orke napale. Po posadu je stigao spasilački brod, dok je poslan tegljač koji je odvukao jedrilicu na popravak.

Do sada nije zabilježen smrtonosni napad orke na čovjeka u divljini, ali orke godinama napadaju jedrilice u blizini Gibraltarskog tjesnaca i obale Galicije. Samo između srpnja i listopada 2020. bilo je najmanje 40 prijavljenih incidenata s orkama koji su uključivali jedrilice u blizini Španjolske i Portugala. Napadi imaju specifičan obrazac: orke uvijek ciljaju na kormilo i često uzrokuju da se čamac zanjiše u širokom luku. Ciljana plovila uvijek su jedrilice kraće od 15 metara.

Orke narastu do 8 metara, a mogu biti teške pet tona. Biolozi koji proučavaju njihovo ponašanje smatraju kako ovakvi slučajevi ponašanja orki mogu biti uzrokovani stresom, nedostatkom hrane ili bukom kojeg proizvode motori jedrilica. Također, orke prate tune, a ukoliko im se nešto nađe na putu, mogu reagirati.

Orke su socijalno iznimno inteligentne životinje pa je njihovo ponašanje nepredvidivo, podložno situaciji i okruženju u kojem se nađu. Preporuka je jedriličarima da se udalje kada ih vide ili jave njihovu lokaciju kako bi se izbjegli incidenti.

U Gibraltarskom tjesnacu orke su proteklih dana onesposobile jednu jedrilicu tako što su se zabile u nju i sklomilo joj kormilo, piše portal martime-executive.com.

U ranim jutarnjim satima početkom tjedan, posada jedrilice Larios uputila je poziv u pomoć i dojavila da im je nestalo kormilo nakon što su ih tri orke napale. Po posadu je stigao spasilački brod, dok je poslan tegljač koji je odvukao jedrilicu na popravak.

Do sada nije zabilježen smrtonosni napad orke na čovjeka u divljini, ali orke godinama napadaju jedrilice u blizini Gibraltarskog tjesnaca i obale Galicije. Samo između srpnja i listopada 2020. bilo je najmanje 40 prijavljenih incidenata s orkama koji su uključivali jedrilice u blizini Španjolske i Portugala. Napadi imaju specifičan obrazac: orke uvijek ciljaju na kormilo i često uzrokuju da se čamac zanjiše u širokom luku. Ciljana plovila uvijek su jedrilice kraće od 15 metara.

Orke narastu do 8 metara, a mogu biti teške pet tona. Biolozi koji proučavaju njihovo ponašanje smatraju kako ovakvi slučajevi ponašanja orki mogu biti uzrokovani stresom, nedostatkom hrane ili bukom kojeg proizvode motori jedrilica. Također, orke prate tune, a ukoliko im se nešto nađe na putu, mogu reagirati.

Orke su socijalno iznimno inteligentne životinje pa je njihovo ponašanje nepredvidivo, podložno situaciji i okruženju u kojem se nađu. Preporuka je jedriličarima da se udalje kada ih vide ili jave njihovu lokaciju kako bi se izbjegli incidenti.
