Nakon velike kontroverze oko otkazivanja sponzorstva francuskoj jedriličarki Clarisse Cremer, Banque Populaire odlučila se posve povući iz Vendée Globea, čuvene jedriličarske utrke oko svijeta, piše yachtingworld.com

Početkom veljače Clarisse je objavila kako joj je njezin sponzor Banque Populaire otkazao ugovor za Vendée Globe 2024., što je izazvalo brojne reakcije u jedrliačrskom svijetu. Clarisse je naime, rodila u studenom prošle godine, a svoju odluku o majčinstvu još davno je obznanila svom dugogodišnjem sponzoru. 

Kako pravila Vendée Globe za izdanje 2024. zahtijevaju od svih skipera da jedre kvalifikacijske utrke i skupljaju milje, mlada mama je po tim kriterijima zaostajala za ostalim natjecateljicama jer ju je majčinstvo godinu dana onemogućilo u kvalifikacijskim utrkama.

- Za Banque Populaire to predstavlja rizik koji sponzor u konačnici ne želi preuzeti, piše Crémer čija je situacija pokrenula lavinu u medijima oko diskriminacije žena i majčinstva.

Oglasila se pak i Banque Populaire koja smatra da nisu ispunjeni uvjeti Clarisse za nastup na idućem Vendée Globeu. Na koncu, odluka je da se posve povuku iz sponzoriranja regate nakon trideset godina. Naveli su kako će nastaviti podržavati jedriličarske klubove, škole, francuske jedriličarske timove i svoj offshore regatni tim, kao što će aktivno sudjelovati u radu koji pomaže unaprjeđenju uloge žena u sportu, posebice u oceanskim utrkama.

Clarisse Cremer, danas 33-godišnjakinja, prije dvije godine postavila je ženski rekord u povijesti najekstremnije jedriličarske regate za samce Vendee Globe. Regatu je završila nakon 87 dana i 24 minute i 25 sekundi potkavši rekord star dvadeset godina koji je držala britanska skiperica Ellen MacArthur. Francuzica ga je poboljšala za čak sedam dana i dva sata.

Nakon velike kontroverze oko otkazivanja sponzorstva francuskoj jedriličarki Clarisse Cremer, Banque Populaire odlučila se posve povući iz Vendée Globea, čuvene jedriličarske utrke oko svijeta, piše yachtingworld.com

Početkom veljače Clarisse je objavila kako joj je njezin sponzor Banque Populaire otkazao ugovor za Vendée Globe 2024., što je izazvalo brojne reakcije u jedrliačrskom svijetu. Clarisse je naime, rodila u studenom prošle godine, a svoju odluku o majčinstvu još davno je obznanila svom dugogodišnjem sponzoru. 

Kako pravila Vendée Globe za izdanje 2024. zahtijevaju od svih skipera da jedre kvalifikacijske utrke i skupljaju milje, mlada mama je po tim kriterijima zaostajala za ostalim natjecateljicama jer ju je majčinstvo godinu dana onemogućilo u kvalifikacijskim utrkama.

- Za Banque Populaire to predstavlja rizik koji sponzor u konačnici ne želi preuzeti, piše Crémer čija je situacija pokrenula lavinu u medijima oko diskriminacije žena i majčinstva.

Oglasila se pak i Banque Populaire koja smatra da nisu ispunjeni uvjeti Clarisse za nastup na idućem Vendée Globeu. Na koncu, odluka je da se posve povuku iz sponzoriranja regate nakon trideset godina. Naveli su kako će nastaviti podržavati jedriličarske klubove, škole, francuske jedriličarske timove i svoj offshore regatni tim, kao što će aktivno sudjelovati u radu koji pomaže unaprjeđenju uloge žena u sportu, posebice u oceanskim utrkama.

Clarisse Cremer, danas 33-godišnjakinja, prije dvije godine postavila je ženski rekord u povijesti najekstremnije jedriličarske regate za samce Vendee Globe. Regatu je završila nakon 87 dana i 24 minute i 25 sekundi potkavši rekord star dvadeset godina koji je držala britanska skiperica Ellen MacArthur. Francuzica ga je poboljšala za čak sedam dana i dva sata.
