Oceani se kontinuirano zagrijavaju proteklih 12.000 godina, a autori istraživanja kažu da ono pokazuje očigledni snažni utjecaj ljudi na klimu.

Ranije procjene temperatura mora tisuće godina unatrag tradicionalno su se oslanjale na analizu očuvanih stijena i zaključile su da su oceani temperaturni vrhunac dosegnuli prije oko 6000 godina prije nego što su se postupno počeli hladiti.

To je u neskladu s globalnim podacima o temperaturama zraka koji ukazuju na kontinuirani trend zagrijavanja koji ubrzava s početkom industrijskog razdoblja.

Američki i kineski znanstvenici preispitali su modele morskih temperatura i utvrdili da su uglavnom predstavljali sezonske temperaturne varijacije, a ne godišnje prosjeke.

Uzimajući u obzir te sezonske diskrepancije utvrdili su da su temperature mora zapravo porasle manje-više u skladu s kretanjem globalnih temperatura zraka u proteklih 12.000 godina.

Voditeljica istraživanja Samantha Bova s katedre za morske i obalne znanosti sveučilišta Rutgers kaže da rezultati dodatno naglašavaju kako nakupljanje stakleničkih plinova pridonosi porastu razina mora kao i temperatura zraka tijekom geološkog razdoblja holocena.

"Uočljivi raskorak između pada globalnih temperatura, kao što je sugerirano nedavnim istraživanjem, i porasta atmosferskih stakleničkih plinova tijekom kasnog holocena navelo je skeptike na sumnje u pogledu uloge stakleničkih plinova u klimatskim promjenama tijekom holocena te moguće i u budućnosti", kazala je za AFP.

Ona kaže da njihovi izračuni pokazuju da su prosječne godišnje temperature mora rasle kontinuirano prije 12.000 pa sve do prije 6500 godina zbog povlačenja ledenih ploča.

Prije oko 6000 godina temperature počinju pratiti rastuće temperature zraka i povećanje razine stakleničkih plinova u atmosferi.

Bova kaže da studija objavljena u časopisu Nature, "eliminira svaku sumnju o ključnoj ulozi ugljičnog dioksida u globalnom zagrijavanju".

Novi modificirani modeli morskih temperatura sugeriraju da su oceani sada topli koliko su bili tijekom zadnjeg međuledenog doba prije oko 125.000 godina.

Oceani su apsorbirali i do 90 posto viška topline koju je od sredine 17. stoljeća stvorila industrijska aktivnost, kao i oko četvrtine svog zagađenja ugljikom.

Zatopljavanje mora izazov je za morske vrste kao što se vidi po nedavnim istraživanjima po kojima se bića teško prilagođavaju višim temperaturama.

Ono također može osnažiti tropske oluje te poplave i razaranja koja prate te pojave.

U komentaru istraživanja Jennifer Hertzberg sa sveučilištaTexas A&M ocijenila je da je studija veliki korak naprijed za klimatska istraživanja.

Po njoj metoda Bove i njezina tima koja ispravlja zablude o sezonskim temperaturnim kretanjima kroz povijest može se sada primijeniti na druge temperaturne zapise u različitim razdobljima.

Oceani se kontinuirano zagrijavaju proteklih 12.000 godina, a autori istraživanja kažu da ono pokazuje očigledni snažni utjecaj ljudi na klimu.

Ranije procjene temperatura mora tisuće godina unatrag tradicionalno su se oslanjale na analizu očuvanih stijena i zaključile su da su oceani temperaturni vrhunac dosegnuli prije oko 6000 godina prije nego što su se postupno počeli hladiti.

To je u neskladu s globalnim podacima o temperaturama zraka koji ukazuju na kontinuirani trend zagrijavanja koji ubrzava s početkom industrijskog razdoblja.

Američki i kineski znanstvenici preispitali su modele morskih temperatura i utvrdili da su uglavnom predstavljali sezonske temperaturne varijacije, a ne godišnje prosjeke.

Uzimajući u obzir te sezonske diskrepancije utvrdili su da su temperature mora zapravo porasle manje-više u skladu s kretanjem globalnih temperatura zraka u proteklih 12.000 godina.

Voditeljica istraživanja Samantha Bova s katedre za morske i obalne znanosti sveučilišta Rutgers kaže da rezultati dodatno naglašavaju kako nakupljanje stakleničkih plinova pridonosi porastu razina mora kao i temperatura zraka tijekom geološkog razdoblja holocena.

"Uočljivi raskorak između pada globalnih temperatura, kao što je sugerirano nedavnim istraživanjem, i porasta atmosferskih stakleničkih plinova tijekom kasnog holocena navelo je skeptike na sumnje u pogledu uloge stakleničkih plinova u klimatskim promjenama tijekom holocena te moguće i u budućnosti", kazala je za AFP.

Ona kaže da njihovi izračuni pokazuju da su prosječne godišnje temperature mora rasle kontinuirano prije 12.000 pa sve do prije 6500 godina zbog povlačenja ledenih ploča.

Prije oko 6000 godina temperature počinju pratiti rastuće temperature zraka i povećanje razine stakleničkih plinova u atmosferi.

Bova kaže da studija objavljena u časopisu Nature, "eliminira svaku sumnju o ključnoj ulozi ugljičnog dioksida u globalnom zagrijavanju".

Novi modificirani modeli morskih temperatura sugeriraju da su oceani sada topli koliko su bili tijekom zadnjeg međuledenog doba prije oko 125.000 godina.

Oceani su apsorbirali i do 90 posto viška topline koju je od sredine 17. stoljeća stvorila industrijska aktivnost, kao i oko četvrtine svog zagađenja ugljikom.

Zatopljavanje mora izazov je za morske vrste kao što se vidi po nedavnim istraživanjima po kojima se bića teško prilagođavaju višim temperaturama.

Ono također može osnažiti tropske oluje te poplave i razaranja koja prate te pojave.

U komentaru istraživanja Jennifer Hertzberg sa sveučilištaTexas A&M ocijenila je da je studija veliki korak naprijed za klimatska istraživanja.

Po njoj metoda Bove i njezina tima koja ispravlja zablude o sezonskim temperaturnim kretanjima kroz povijest može se sada primijeniti na druge temperaturne zapise u različitim razdobljima.

Oceani se kontinuirano zagrijavaju proteklih 12.000 godina, a autori istraživanja kažu da ono pokazuje očigledni snažni utjecaj ljudi na klimu.

Ranije procjene temperatura mora tisuće godina unatrag tradicionalno su se oslanjale na analizu očuvanih stijena i zaključile su da su oceani temperaturni vrhunac dosegnuli prije oko 6000 godina prije nego što su se postupno počeli hladiti.

To je u neskladu s globalnim podacima o temperaturama zraka koji ukazuju na kontinuirani trend zagrijavanja koji ubrzava s početkom industrijskog razdoblja.

Američki i kineski znanstvenici preispitali su modele morskih temperatura i utvrdili da su uglavnom predstavljali sezonske temperaturne varijacije, a ne godišnje prosjeke.

Uzimajući u obzir te sezonske diskrepancije utvrdili su da su temperature mora zapravo porasle manje-više u skladu s kretanjem globalnih temperatura zraka u proteklih 12.000 godina.
