Najveći kruzer na svijetu otisnuo se iz Miamija na Floridi na svoje prvo putovanje, no nisu svi oduševljeni raskošnom grdosijom. Naime, brod ispušta ogromne količine metana, snažnog stakleničkog plina, piše BBC.
Icon of the Seas dugačak je 365 metara, ima 20 paluba i može primiti do 7600 putnika. Vlasnik broda je Royal Caribbean Group, a kruzer će obilaziti otoke u tropskim krajevima, prenosi Jutarnji list.

Snažan staklenički plin, metan u atmosferi tijekom 20 godina zadržava 80 puta više topline od ugljičnog dioksida, a smanjenje upravo tih emisija smatra se ključnim za usporavanje globalnog zatopljenja.
Ipak, glasnogovornik Royal Caribbeana rekao je da je Icon of the Seas 24 posto energetski učinkovitiji nego što Međunarodna pomorska organizacija zahtijeva za moderne brodove. Također, tvrtka do 2035. u svoju flotu planira uvesti i brod s nula emisija.

Na ceremoniji krštenja broda u četvrtak sudjelovao je Lionel Messi, koji trenutno igra za Inter Miami. Tijekom svečanosti, on je postavio nogometnu loptu na posebno izgrađeno postolje te tako pokrenuo tradicionalno razbijanje boce šampanjca o pramac broda za sreću.
Izgradnja najvećeg kruzera na svijetu Icon of the Seas koštala je 2 milijarde dolara.

Najveći kruzer na svijetu otisnuo se iz Miamija na Floridi na svoje prvo putovanje, no nisu svi oduševljeni raskošnom grdosijom. Naime, brod ispušta ogromne količine metana, snažnog stakleničkog plina, piše BBC.

Ipak, glasnogovornik Royal Caribbeana rekao je da je Icon of the Seas 24 posto energetski učinkovitiji nego što Međunarodna pomorska organizacija zahtijeva za moderne brodove. Također, tvrtka do 2035. u svoju flotu planira uvesti i brod s nula emisija.

Na ceremoniji krštenja broda u četvrtak sudjelovao je Lionel Messi, koji trenutno igra za Inter Miami. Tijekom svečanosti, on je postavio nogometnu loptu na posebno izgrađeno postolje te tako pokrenuo tradicionalno razbijanje boce šampanjca o pramac broda za sreću.
Izgradnja najvećeg kruzera na svijetu Icon of the Seas koštala je 2 milijarde dolara.
Brod ima sedam bazena, šest vodenih tobogana i više od 40 restorana, barova i salona.
