Kolumbija je u četvrtak poduzela korak prema vađenju davno izgubljene španjolske galije i njezina legendarnog bogatstva, ali to bi moglo biti teško jer Španjolska i Bolivijci također polažu pravo na plijen.
Dugo san lovaca na blago diljem svijeta, olupina galije San Jose prvi put je locirana uz obalu Kolumbije 2015., ali je ostala netaknuta dok vlada utvrđuje pravila za njezino vađenje.
Kolumbija je bila španjolska kolonija kada je San Jose potopljen, a zlato iz cijele Južne Amerike, posebno današnjeg Perua i Bolivije, bilo je pohranjeno u tvrđavi njezina obalnog grada Cartagene, prije nego što je poslano natrag u Europu.
Kolumbijska vlada taj plijen smatra "nacionalnim blagom" i želi da bude izložen u budućem muzeju koji će se izgraditi u Cartageni.
Prema predsjedničkom dekretu objavljenom u četvrtak, tvrtke ili pojedinci zainteresirani za vađenje broda morat će potpisati "ugovor" s državom i dostaviti vladi detaljan popis svojih nalaza, kao i planove za postupanje s tim predmetima.
Veliki plijen, za koji stručnjaci procjenjuju da uključuje najmanje 200 tona zlata, srebra i smaragda, bit će ponos Kolumbije, rekla je potpredsjednica i šefica diplomacije Marta Lucia Ramirez u priopćenju.
Galiju San Jose potopila je britanska mornarica u noći 7. lipnja 1708. kod Cartagene de Indias.
San Jose je u to vrijeme prevozio zlato, srebro i drago kamenje koje je trebalo isporučiti iz španjolskih kolonija u Latinskoj Americi na dvor kralja Filipa V.
Samo nekoliko od 600-člane posade San Josea preživjelo je potonuće.
Krajem 2015. tadašnji kolumbijski predsjednik Juan Manuel Santos objavio je otkriće točne lokacije olupine, što su potvrdili i jedinstveni brodski brončani topovi s gravurama dupina.
Kolumbija je rekla da će trebati oko 70 milijuna dolara za operaciju vađenja olupine, koja se nalazi na dubini između 600 i 1000 metara.
Španjolska tvrdi da je olupina njezino vlasništvo jer se radi o državnom brodu, a autohtona skupina u Boliviji, Qhara Qhara, kaže da blago pripada njima, budući da su ga njihovi preci bili prisiljeni kopati iz tadašnjeg najvećeg svjetskog rudnika srebra.

Kolumbija je u četvrtak poduzela korak prema vađenju davno izgubljene španjolske galije i njezina legendarnog bogatstva, ali to bi moglo biti teško jer Španjolska i Bolivijci također polažu pravo na plijen.
Dugo san lovaca na blago diljem svijeta, olupina galije San Jose prvi put je locirana uz obalu Kolumbije 2015., ali je ostala netaknuta dok vlada utvrđuje pravila za njezino vađenje.
Kolumbija je bila španjolska kolonija kada je San Jose potopljen, a zlato iz cijele Južne Amerike, posebno današnjeg Perua i Bolivije, bilo je pohranjeno u tvrđavi njezina obalnog grada Cartagene, prije nego što je poslano natrag u Europu.
Kolumbijska vlada taj plijen smatra "nacionalnim blagom" i želi da bude izložen u budućem muzeju koji će se izgraditi u Cartageni.
Prema predsjedničkom dekretu objavljenom u četvrtak, tvrtke ili pojedinci zainteresirani za vađenje broda morat će potpisati "ugovor" s državom i dostaviti vladi detaljan popis svojih nalaza, kao i planove za postupanje s tim predmetima.
Veliki plijen, za koji stručnjaci procjenjuju da uključuje najmanje 200 tona zlata, srebra i smaragda, bit će ponos Kolumbije, rekla je potpredsjednica i šefica diplomacije Marta Lucia Ramirez u priopćenju.
Galiju San Jose potopila je britanska mornarica u noći 7. lipnja 1708. kod Cartagene de Indias.
San Jose je u to vrijeme prevozio zlato, srebro i drago kamenje koje je trebalo isporučiti iz španjolskih kolonija u Latinskoj Americi na dvor kralja Filipa V.
Samo nekoliko od 600-člane posade San Josea preživjelo je potonuće.
Krajem 2015. tadašnji kolumbijski predsjednik Juan Manuel Santos objavio je otkriće točne lokacije olupine, što su potvrdili i jedinstveni brodski brončani topovi s gravurama dupina.
Kolumbija je rekla da će trebati oko 70 milijuna dolara za operaciju vađenja olupine, koja se nalazi na dubini između 600 i 1000 metara.
