Čelnici Njemačke i Norveške rekli su u srijedu da će zajednički zatražiti od NATO-a da koordinira zaštitu europske podmorske infrastrukture u svjetlu navodnih napada na mrežu plinovoda Sjeverni tok.
Njemački kancelar Olaf Scholz kazao je pored norveškog premijera Jonasa Gahra Stoerea na briefingu da bi se uključivanjem NATO-a u zaštitu pomorske instrastrukture poslao signal.
"Zaštitu naše kritične infrastrukture shvaćamo vrlo ozbiljno i nitko ne bi trebao misliti da će napadi ostati bez posljedica", rekao je Scholz.
"Cjevovodi, telefonski kablovi i internetske veze iznimno su važni za naše države i moraju biti posebno zaštićeni", dodao je.
U rujnu je došlo do eksplozije na plinovodima Sjeverni tok 1 i Sjeverni tok 2 koji povezuju Rusiju i Njemačku. Istraživači su pronašli tragove eksplozija i sumnjaju da je riječ o sabotaži.
Norveška je odigrala ključnu ulogu u isporučivanju plina u Europu nakon što je Rusija smanjila izvoz.
Scholz je rekao da Norveška sada pokriva oko polovicu njemačkih potreba.
Norveška proizvodi plin u punom kapacitetu i nastavit će to činiti u narednim godinama, rekao je Stoere.
"Imamo posebnu odgovornost osigurati sigurnu opskrbu plinom za Europu, što je ključno održati", poručio je norveški premijer.
Glavni tajnik NATO-a e-mailom je odgovorio da pozdravlja prijedlog Njemačke i Norveške.
"Pojačali smo svoje napore nakon nedavne sabotaže plinovoda Sjeverni tok. Od ključne je važnosti učiniti još više kako bismo osigurali da naša infrastruktura na moru ostane sigurna od budućih destruktivnih djela", rekao je.
Scholz je na Berlinskoj sigurnosnoj konferenciji u srijedu navečer također kazao da Njemačka želi iskoristiti svoj posebni obrambeni fond od 100 milijardi eura ove godine za kupnju borbenih zrakoplova F35 i nadogradnju borbenih vozila Puma.
Dodao je i da Rusija više ne može dobiti rat u Ukrajini na bojnom polju.

Čelnici Njemačke i Norveške rekli su u srijedu da će zajednički zatražiti od NATO-a da koordinira zaštitu europske podmorske infrastrukture u svjetlu navodnih napada na mrežu plinovoda Sjeverni tok.
Njemački kancelar Olaf Scholz kazao je pored norveškog premijera Jonasa Gahra Stoerea na briefingu da bi se uključivanjem NATO-a u zaštitu pomorske instrastrukture poslao signal.
"Zaštitu naše kritične infrastrukture shvaćamo vrlo ozbiljno i nitko ne bi trebao misliti da će napadi ostati bez posljedica", rekao je Scholz.
"Cjevovodi, telefonski kablovi i internetske veze iznimno su važni za naše države i moraju biti posebno zaštićeni", dodao je.
U rujnu je došlo do eksplozije na plinovodima Sjeverni tok 1 i Sjeverni tok 2 koji povezuju Rusiju i Njemačku. Istraživači su pronašli tragove eksplozija i sumnjaju da je riječ o sabotaži.
Norveška je odigrala ključnu ulogu u isporučivanju plina u Europu nakon što je Rusija smanjila izvoz.
Scholz je rekao da Norveška sada pokriva oko polovicu njemačkih potreba.
Norveška proizvodi plin u punom kapacitetu i nastavit će to činiti u narednim godinama, rekao je Stoere.
"Imamo posebnu odgovornost osigurati sigurnu opskrbu plinom za Europu, što je ključno održati", poručio je norveški premijer.
Glavni tajnik NATO-a e-mailom je odgovorio da pozdravlja prijedlog Njemačke i Norveške.
"Pojačali smo svoje napore nakon nedavne sabotaže plinovoda Sjeverni tok. Od ključne je važnosti učiniti još više kako bismo osigurali da naša infrastruktura na moru ostane sigurna od budućih destruktivnih djela", rekao je.
Scholz je na Berlinskoj sigurnosnoj konferenciji u srijedu navečer također kazao da Njemačka želi iskoristiti svoj posebni obrambeni fond od 100 milijardi eura ove godine za kupnju borbenih zrakoplova F35 i nadogradnju borbenih vozila Puma.
Dodao je i da Rusija više ne može dobiti rat u Ukrajini na bojnom polju.
