Poštovana redakcijo,

Loveći kančenicom ribu oko Cresa, na tridesetak metara dubine sam na trak od lignje ulovio nešto što do sada nisam vidio ni ja ni moji prijatelji koji su sa mnom bili na barci. Kada sam se nakon povratka iz ribolova počeo raspitivati, ustanovio sam da nitko od mojih poznanika ne zna o kojoj je ribi riječ. Meni osobno nalikuje na nešto što je došlo iz tropskih mora. Nadam se da nismo ulovili ništa zaštićeno ili ugroženo.

Vitomir Zadro

Vitomire, riba koju ste ulovili nije ni zakonom zaštićena ni ugrožena, a nije ni došla iz tropskih mora. Riječ je o vrsti znanstvenog naziva vladika arbanaška (Thalassoma Pavo, Linnaeus, 1758). To je riba iz obitelji usnača (Labridae) i vrlo je blizak rođak svima znanom knezu. Može narasti do 25 centimetara u dužinu i pritom težiti 0,20 kg. Ima duguljasto i bočno lagano spljošteno tijelo. Peraje su osrednje razvijene s tim da je repna peraja kod mladih primjeraka ravno odsječena ili čak lagano zaobljena, dok je kod odraslih jedinki rašljasta s izrazito izduženim krajnjim šipčicama.

Boje je maslinasto-smeđe i zelenkaste, sitno isprugan okomitim smeđe-crvenkastim prugicama. Bočno, u području prsne peraje se na široj crvenkasto smeđoj podlozi ističu jedna do dvije zelene ili modre pruge. Trbušni dio često bude narančasto-zlatno žut, ali katkad i tirkizno modrikast. Glava je crvenkastosmeđa prošarana tirkizno mramornim uzorkom. Tirkizne boje su i rubovi leđne peraje kao i šipčice repne peraje.

Ženke su manje intenzivnih boja, često skoro pa jednolično tamno smećkaste s brojnim tankim prugicama i pet okomito položenih širih plavih pojasa. Općenito, obojanost može varirati od staništa do staništa, pri čemu na boju utječe i doba godine kao i vrijeme mrijesta. Usta su mala, a usne, za razliku od većine ostalih usnača, tanke ali ipak izražene. Zubi su sitni i stožasti dok su dva prednja duži od ostalih kao očnjaci.

Vladika arbanaška preferira kamenita obrasla dna, od plićaka do 150 metara dubine, pri čemu je najbrojnija na dubinama do 50 metara. Ova riba život provodi kao samotar, no u juvenilarnoj dobi formira manje grupe. Hrani se mekušcima i rakovim. Protoginični je hermafrodit, što znači da prvi dio života provodi kao ženka da bi se u kasnije transformirala u mužjaka. Mrijesti se ljeti. Ikra je pelagička.

Vladika arbanaška je u Atlantiku rasprostranjena duž istočnog obalnog dijela, od Biskaja do Angole, dok je u Mediteranu prisutna posvuda, pa tako i u našem moru. U Jadranu je najbrojnija u njegovom južnom dijelu, dok je na sjevernom donedavno bila potpuno nepoznata. Osim toga ne lovi se često tako da je velikom broju ribara, unatoč relativno gustoj naseljenosti, nepoznata.

Zahvaljujući globalnom zatopljenju, sada je prisutna u cijelom Jadranu što potvrđuje i vaš ulov. Budući da se lovi slučajno i usputno, nema neku zapaženu tržišnu vrijednost. Meso je osrednje kvalitete, okusom najbliže knezu.

Poštovana redakcijo,

Loveći kančenicom ribu oko Cresa, na tridesetak metara dubine sam na trak od lignje ulovio nešto što do sada nisam vidio ni ja ni moji prijatelji koji su sa mnom bili na barci. Kada sam se nakon povratka iz ribolova počeo raspitivati, ustanovio sam da nitko od mojih poznanika ne zna o kojoj je ribi riječ. Meni osobno nalikuje na nešto što je došlo iz tropskih mora. Nadam se da nismo ulovili ništa zaštićeno ili ugroženo.

Vitomire, riba koju ste ulovili nije ni zakonom zaštićena ni ugrožena, a nije ni došla iz tropskih mora. Riječ je o vrsti znanstvenog naziva vladika arbanaška (Thalassoma Pavo, Linnaeus, 1758). To je riba iz obitelji usnača (Labridae) i vrlo je blizak rođak svima znanom knezu. Može narasti do 25 centimetara u dužinu i pritom težiti 0,20 kg. Ima duguljasto i bočno lagano spljošteno tijelo. Peraje su osrednje razvijene s tim da je repna peraja kod mladih primjeraka ravno odsječena ili čak lagano zaobljena, dok je kod odraslih jedinki rašljasta s izrazito izduženim krajnjim šipčicama.

Boje je maslinasto-smeđe i zelenkaste, sitno isprugan okomitim smeđe-crvenkastim prugicama. Bočno, u području prsne peraje se na široj crvenkasto smeđoj podlozi ističu jedna do dvije zelene ili modre pruge. Trbušni dio često bude narančasto-zlatno žut, ali katkad i tirkizno modrikast. Glava je crvenkastosmeđa prošarana tirkizno mramornim uzorkom. Tirkizne boje su i rubovi leđne peraje kao i šipčice repne peraje.

Ženke su manje intenzivnih boja, često skoro pa jednolično tamno smećkaste s brojnim tankim prugicama i pet okomito položenih širih plavih pojasa. Općenito, obojanost može varirati od staništa do staništa, pri čemu na boju utječe i doba godine kao i vrijeme mrijesta. Usta su mala, a usne, za razliku od većine ostalih usnača, tanke ali ipak izražene. Zubi su sitni i stožasti dok su dva prednja duži od ostalih kao očnjaci.

Vladika arbanaška preferira kamenita obrasla dna, od plićaka do 150 metara dubine, pri čemu je najbrojnija na dubinama do 50 metara. Ova riba život provodi kao samotar, no u juvenilarnoj dobi formira manje grupe. Hrani se mekušcima i rakovim. Protoginični je hermafrodit, što znači da prvi dio života provodi kao ženka da bi se u kasnije transformirala u mužjaka. Mrijesti se ljeti. Ikra je pelagička.

Vladika arbanaška je u Atlantiku rasprostranjena duž istočnog obalnog dijela, od Biskaja do Angole, dok je u Mediteranu prisutna posvuda, pa tako i u našem moru. U Jadranu je najbrojnija u njegovom južnom dijelu, dok je na sjevernom donedavno bila potpuno nepoznata. Osim toga ne lovi se često tako da je velikom broju ribara, unatoč relativno gustoj naseljenosti, nepoznata.

Zahvaljujući globalnom zatopljenju, sada je prisutna u cijelom Jadranu što potvrđuje i vaš ulov. Budući da se lovi slučajno i usputno, nema neku zapaženu tržišnu vrijednost. Meso je osrednje kvalitete, okusom najbliže knezu.

Poštovana redakcijo,

Loveći kančenicom ribu oko Cresa, na tridesetak metara dubine sam na trak od lignje ulovio nešto što do sada nisam vidio ni ja ni moji prijatelji koji su sa mnom bili na barci. Kada sam se nakon povratka iz ribolova počeo raspitivati, ustanovio sam da nitko od mojih poznanika ne zna o kojoj je ribi riječ. Meni osobno nalikuje na nešto što je došlo iz tropskih mora. Nadam se da nismo ulovili ništa zaštićeno ili ugroženo.
