Nedavno sam ronio na dah u Dubrovniku i u samom plićaku primijetio neobične ribe koje su bile pomiješane u jatu s picima i fratrima. Veći primjerci su bili teški dvadesetak dekagrama, a manji 5 do 6. Čim sam izišao vani počeo sam pretraživati slike novih riba u Jadranu, jer sam pretpostavljao da se ne radi ni o jednoj uobičajenoj vrsti, i potpuno sam siguran da sam vidio jato trorepana. Zanima me koliko ih ima u Jadranu i predstavljanju li neku opasnost za naše jadranske vrste?

S obzirom na to da nemate fotografiju, ali ste sigurni da se radi upravo o trorepanu, recimo da je latinski naziv te ribe Lobotes surinamensis. Od dvije postojeće vrste iz porodice Lobotidae, trorepan, koji je hrvatsko ime dobio prema prijevodu engleskog naziva tripletail, je jedina vrsta koju nalazimo u Mediteranu. Prepoznatljiv je po malim očima i velikim ustima, a ime trorepan potječe od tri karakteristično zaobljene peraje, repne, leđne i analne, koje su povučene prema zadnjem dijelu tijela i poprilično iste veličine.

Mramorasto je obojen s nizom mrlja različitih boja koje mogu biti žućkaste i smeđe kod mlađih primjeraka pa sve do različitih nijansi sive i crne, te čak i zelene kod odraslih. Naraste do 110 cm dužine, pri čemu može težiti više od 19 kg, a uobičajene dužine su oko 80 cm. To znači da na prave veličine tih primjeraka koje ste vidjeli tek trebamo pričekati. Ipak, većina informacija iz Mediterana govori o manjim primjercima koji odgovaraju vašim prijavljenim veličinama, pa možemo pretpostaviti da se prava populacija još nije razvila u velikoj mjeri.

Indijski ocean

Inače, trorepan je riba tropskih i sutropskih područja te uobičajeno boravi u moru zapadnog Atlantika, duž sjeverozapadnih obala Afrike, te u Indijskom i Tihom oceanu. Zanimljivo je da, iako pripada ribama Indijskog oceana, ne smatra se tzv. lesepsijskim migrantom (ribama novopridošlima u Mediteran, a kojima je glavna postojbina Indijski ocean), već je uvriježeno mišljenje da je trorepan u Mediteran ušao iz Atlantika kroz Gibraltarska vrata, što je zabilježeno još davne 1875. godine, te se od tada proširio cijelim područjem.

Iako ga neki stručnjaci i dalje smatraju rijetkom ribom Mediterana, prema najnovijim podacima trorepan već ima velike populacije oko sjevernih obala Afrike, u istočnom Mediteranu i na Malti. U Jadranu je po prvi put zabilježen u ljeto 2010. godine, kada je primijećen kraj otoka Biševa. Nakon toga se očito brzo kretao pa je već nakon tri godine nađen u Istri, i to u Raškom zaljevu. To je ipak određeno iznenađenje jer je trorepan riba koja voli toplije more, pa je zasad taj raški nalaz zapravo i najsjeverniji nalaz trorepana u Mediteranu. Odrasli primjerci se uglavnom drže zaljeva ili blizine ušća rijeka.

Uglavnom je riba plićeg mora te ne zalazi dublje od 70 m dubine, a najviše se vidi upravo uz obalu od površine do desetak metara. Zanimljivo je da je u Atlantiku u područjima gdje ima velikih Sargassum algi kod trorepana primijećeno neobično ponašanje kada se ta riba okrene postrance i skriva u velikim algama, oponašajući listove, i na taj način je ostali grabežljivci mimoilaze. Također, tako postrance se često primijete kako plutaju tik uz površinu, a posebice u blizini nekih plutajućih nakupina. Dodatno je zanimljivo da mogu i mijenjati tonalitet boje tijela, koji se kreće od svjetlijih do tamnijih tonova pa se pretpostavlja da razlog svemu tome nije samo skrivanje pred neprijateljem već da tu kamuflažu koriste i kao prednost pri hranjenju. Kad već govorimo o hranjenju, zna se da nisu previše izbirljivi pa se hrane svim dostupnim ribama i različitim vrstama rakova.

Štetni efekti

Za razliku od nekih drugih riba koje se smatraju izrazito invazivnima jer uvelike utječu na prirodne populacije nekog područja u kojem se zateknu, za trorepana se zasad u Mediteranu ne vežu nikakvi štetni efekti. Čak štoviše, iz drugih područja prvobitnog obitavanja trorepana poznato je da se ova vrsta smatra delikatesom, pa je lako moguće da ustanovljavanjem neke veće populacije u Jadranu ova vrsta postane važna u komercijalnom smislu s nadom da se u budućnosti ipak neće ustanoviti da trorepan ima neki štetni utjecaj na naše autohtone vrste.

Ako se već i pojavi, recimo da se najlakše lovi priobalnim alatima, i to potegačama i mrežama stajačicama u gospodarskom ribolovu, ali i vrlo često udičarskim alatima u sportsko-rekreacijskom ribolovu.

Tri trorepana brzo bi mogla narasti u jato

Nedavno sam ronio na dah u Dubrovniku i u samom plićaku primijetio neobične ribe koje su bile pomiješane u jatu s picima i fratrima. Veći primjerci su bili teški dvadesetak dekagrama, a manji 5 do 6. Čim sam izišao vani počeo sam pretraživati slike novih riba u Jadranu, jer sam pretpostavljao da se ne radi ni o jednoj uobičajenoj vrsti, i potpuno sam siguran da sam vidio jato trorepana. Zanima me koliko ih ima u Jadranu i predstavljanju li neku opasnost za naše jadranske vrste?

S obzirom na to da nemate fotografiju, ali ste sigurni da se radi upravo o trorepanu, recimo da je latinski naziv te ribe Lobotes surinamensis. Od dvije postojeće vrste iz porodice Lobotidae, trorepan, koji je hrvatsko ime dobio prema prijevodu engleskog naziva tripletail, je jedina vrsta koju nalazimo u Mediteranu. Prepoznatljiv je po malim očima i velikim ustima, a ime trorepan potječe od tri karakteristično zaobljene peraje, repne, leđne i analne, koje su povučene prema zadnjem dijelu tijela i poprilično iste veličine.

Mramorasto je obojen s nizom mrlja različitih boja koje mogu biti žućkaste i smeđe kod mlađih primjeraka pa sve do različitih nijansi sive i crne, te čak i zelene kod odraslih. Naraste do 110 cm dužine, pri čemu može težiti više od 19 kg, a uobičajene dužine su oko 80 cm. To znači da na prave veličine tih primjeraka koje ste vidjeli tek trebamo pričekati. Ipak, većina informacija iz Mediterana govori o manjim primjercima koji odgovaraju vašim prijavljenim veličinama, pa možemo pretpostaviti da se prava populacija još nije razvila u velikoj mjeri.

Indijski ocean

Inače, trorepan je riba tropskih i sutropskih područja te uobičajeno boravi u moru zapadnog Atlantika, duž sjeverozapadnih obala Afrike, te u Indijskom i Tihom oceanu. Zanimljivo je da, iako pripada ribama Indijskog oceana, ne smatra se tzv. lesepsijskim migrantom (ribama novopridošlima u Mediteran, a kojima je glavna postojbina Indijski ocean), već je uvriježeno mišljenje da je trorepan u Mediteran ušao iz Atlantika kroz Gibraltarska vrata, što je zabilježeno još davne 1875. godine, te se od tada proširio cijelim područjem.

Iako ga neki stručnjaci i dalje smatraju rijetkom ribom Mediterana, prema najnovijim podacima trorepan već ima velike populacije oko sjevernih obala Afrike, u istočnom Mediteranu i na Malti. U Jadranu je po prvi put zabilježen u ljeto 2010. godine, kada je primijećen kraj otoka Biševa. Nakon toga se očito brzo kretao pa je već nakon tri godine nađen u Istri, i to u Raškom zaljevu. To je ipak određeno iznenađenje jer je trorepan riba koja voli toplije more, pa je zasad taj raški nalaz zapravo i najsjeverniji nalaz trorepana u Mediteranu. Odrasli primjerci se uglavnom drže zaljeva ili blizine ušća rijeka.

Uglavnom je riba plićeg mora te ne zalazi dublje od 70 m dubine, a najviše se vidi upravo uz obalu od površine do desetak metara. Zanimljivo je da je u Atlantiku u područjima gdje ima velikih Sargassum algi kod trorepana primijećeno neobično ponašanje kada se ta riba okrene postrance i skriva u velikim algama, oponašajući listove, i na taj način je ostali grabežljivci mimoilaze. Također, tako postrance se često primijete kako plutaju tik uz površinu, a posebice u blizini nekih plutajućih nakupina. Dodatno je zanimljivo da mogu i mijenjati tonalitet boje tijela, koji se kreće od svjetlijih do tamnijih tonova pa se pretpostavlja da razlog svemu tome nije samo skrivanje pred neprijateljem već da tu kamuflažu koriste i kao prednost pri hranjenju. Kad već govorimo o hranjenju, zna se da nisu previše izbirljivi pa se hrane svim dostupnim ribama i različitim vrstama rakova.

Štetni efekti

Za razliku od nekih drugih riba koje se smatraju izrazito invazivnima jer uvelike utječu na prirodne populacije nekog područja u kojem se zateknu, za trorepana se zasad u Mediteranu ne vežu nikakvi štetni efekti. Čak štoviše, iz drugih područja prvobitnog obitavanja trorepana poznato je da se ova vrsta smatra delikatesom, pa je lako moguće da ustanovljavanjem neke veće populacije u Jadranu ova vrsta postane važna u komercijalnom smislu s nadom da se u budućnosti ipak neće ustanoviti da trorepan ima neki štetni utjecaj na naše autohtone vrste.

Ako se već i pojavi, recimo da se najlakše lovi priobalnim alatima, i to potegačama i mrežama stajačicama u gospodarskom ribolovu, ali i vrlo često udičarskim alatima u sportsko-rekreacijskom ribolovu.
