Teško da postoji ribolovac kojem se vrh štapa nije barem jednom slomio. Razloga za lom vrha postoji cijela šuma, no najčešće su samo dva u igri. Prvi je nedovoljna briga tijekom transporta, a drugi prenamotana struna, što u postocima izgleda ovako: nemar u transportu – 20 posto, prenamotana struna – 80 posto.

Transportne se neprilike rješavaju na vrlo jednostavan način. Sklopljeni se štapovi učvrste čičkovim ili elastičnim trakama, vršni se dio zaštiti štitnikom za vrh, pa se sve transportira u adekvatnoj transportnoj torbi koja se neće koristiti kao sjedalica ili potporanj, dok se pri rukovanju štapom neće kositi okolno raslinje i grebati sike.

Tih nekoliko osnovnih predradnji trebalo bi eliminirati najveći broj kritičnih transportnih situacija za vrh štapa.

Neizbježni zamor

No zato je problem premotavanja strune većini ribolovaca naizgled nerješiv, jer do loma u prvom redu dolazi zbog pomanjkanja koncentracije tijekom izvlačenja pribora, a do čega dođe prije ili kasnije, pogotovo kada su u pitanju duži ribolovi koji, unatoč užitku, neizbježno dovode do zamora.

Da pojasnimo, do premotavanja strune dolazi kada se struna namota toliko da spojni zogulin s mekanom perlom štitnikom (ili češće bez nje) dospije do vršnog provodnika, nakon čega se ručica role nastavlja okretati. U toj se situaciji vršni segment savija do granice pucanja, što u najvećem broju slučajeva rezultira slomljenim vršnim segmentom.

Naravno, do toga može doći i u transportnoj torbi ako su, na primjer, sve kočnice zategnute u tvrdo, a ručica dospije u poziciju u kojoj se može okrenuti u smjeru namatanja.

No ako ste jedan od onih koji su u stanju predvidjeti takvu situaciju, tada će vam kočnice biti otpuštene, zogulin fiksiran, a struna opuštena zbog čega vrh nećete izgubiti na taj način.

Ali vas zato od situacije u kojoj svoj sistem izvlačite s dna mora, dok u isto vrijeme vaš partner ili konkurentni natjecatelj vadi ribu, ne štiti apsolutno ništa.

Naime, većina ribolovaca koji obraćaju više pažnje na štapove okolo sebe nego na svoj vlastiti štap, u takvoj situaciji ne gledajući stanje na svome priboru, nastavljaju namatanje dok ne dospiju u tvrdu, ili bolje reći kritično lomnu situaciju. Rezultat je riba na štapu prijatelja ili konkurencije, a slomljeni vrh na vlastitu štapu.

Jedan od vrlo jednostavnih načina na koji, unatoč lošoj koncentraciji i neobuzdanoj znatiželji, možemo izbjeći takvu situaciju jest postavljanje malog kliznog čvorića, grinnera s repovima, na osnovnu strunu, pri čemu ga treba udaljiti nekoliko metara od predveza. Prolazeći kroz provodnike, repovi čvorića će zašuškati i upozoriti ribolovca da je kraj namatanja vrlo blizu.

No katkad se, unatoč takvom zvučnom upozorenju, struna prenamota i vrh slomi. Za takve, maksimalno znatiželjne i dekoncentrirane ribolovce, rješenje je u produljenoj spojnoj omči.

Zvuk i otpor

Kod vezivanja spojnog zogulina potrebno je ostaviti rep čvora u dužini od desetak do dvadeset centimetara, te ga na samome kraju fiksirati uz osnovnu strunu, i to na način da rep nakon fiksiranja ostane viriti desetak milimetara.

Kada taj čvor s repom naiđe na vršni provodnik, zvuk i otpor trebali bi biti dostatan alarm za prestanak namatanja. Udvojena struna i spojni čvor se tijekom ribolova nalaze dovoljno daleko od udica da ne ometaju ribolov, a tijekom izvlačenja predstavljaju zadnje upozorenje koje bi trebalo uspješno sačuvati vrh od loma zbog prenamatanja.

Iako se udaljenost od dvadesetak centimetara od kraja može učiniti mala, ta je dimenzija kod većine ribolovaca sasvim dovoljna za refleksni prestanak namatanja.

A ako unatoč svemu utvrdite da spadate u onu manjinu kojoj ni taj posljednji alarm nije dostatan, tada nabavite otpornije vrhove, popustite kočnicu na roli, odradite kakav dopisni tečaj vježbe koncentracije ili jednostavno u pričuvi uvijek imajte desetak novih vršnih segmenata.

Teško da postoji ribolovac kojem se vrh štapa nije barem jednom slomio. Razloga za lom vrha postoji cijela šuma, no najčešće su samo dva u igri. Prvi je nedovoljna briga tijekom transporta, a drugi prenamotana struna, što u postocima izgleda ovako: nemar u transportu – 20 posto, prenamotana struna – 80 posto.

Transportne se neprilike rješavaju na vrlo jednostavan način. Sklopljeni se štapovi učvrste čičkovim ili elastičnim trakama, vršni se dio zaštiti štitnikom za vrh, pa se sve transportira u adekvatnoj transportnoj torbi koja se neće koristiti kao sjedalica ili potporanj, dok se pri rukovanju štapom neće kositi okolno raslinje i grebati sike.

Tih nekoliko osnovnih predradnji trebalo bi eliminirati najveći broj kritičnih transportnih situacija za vrh štapa.

Neizbježni zamor

No zato je problem premotavanja strune većini ribolovaca naizgled nerješiv, jer do loma u prvom redu dolazi zbog pomanjkanja koncentracije tijekom izvlačenja pribora, a do čega dođe prije ili kasnije, pogotovo kada su u pitanju duži ribolovi koji, unatoč užitku, neizbježno dovode do zamora.

Da pojasnimo, do premotavanja strune dolazi kada se struna namota toliko da spojni zogulin s mekanom perlom štitnikom (ili češće bez nje) dospije do vršnog provodnika, nakon čega se ručica role nastavlja okretati. U toj se situaciji vršni segment savija do granice pucanja, što u najvećem broju slučajeva rezultira slomljenim vršnim segmentom.

Naravno, do toga može doći i u transportnoj torbi ako su, na primjer, sve kočnice zategnute u tvrdo, a ručica dospije u poziciju u kojoj se može okrenuti u smjeru namatanja.

No ako ste jedan od onih koji su u stanju predvidjeti takvu situaciju, tada će vam kočnice biti otpuštene, zogulin fiksiran, a struna opuštena zbog čega vrh nećete izgubiti na taj način.

Ali vas zato od situacije u kojoj svoj sistem izvlačite s dna mora, dok u isto vrijeme vaš partner ili konkurentni natjecatelj vadi ribu, ne štiti apsolutno ništa.

Naime, većina ribolovaca koji obraćaju više pažnje na štapove okolo sebe nego na svoj vlastiti štap, u takvoj situaciji ne gledajući stanje na svome priboru, nastavljaju namatanje dok ne dospiju u tvrdu, ili bolje reći kritično lomnu situaciju. Rezultat je riba na štapu prijatelja ili konkurencije, a slomljeni vrh na vlastitu štapu.

Jedan od vrlo jednostavnih načina na koji, unatoč lošoj koncentraciji i neobuzdanoj znatiželji, možemo izbjeći takvu situaciju jest postavljanje malog kliznog čvorića, grinnera s repovima, na osnovnu strunu, pri čemu ga treba udaljiti nekoliko metara od predveza. Prolazeći kroz provodnike, repovi čvorića će zašuškati i upozoriti ribolovca da je kraj namatanja vrlo blizu.

No katkad se, unatoč takvom zvučnom upozorenju, struna prenamota i vrh slomi. Za takve, maksimalno znatiželjne i dekoncentrirane ribolovce, rješenje je u produljenoj spojnoj omči.

Zvuk i otpor

Kod vezivanja spojnog zogulina potrebno je ostaviti rep čvora u dužini od desetak do dvadeset centimetara, te ga na samome kraju fiksirati uz osnovnu strunu, i to na način da rep nakon fiksiranja ostane viriti desetak milimetara.

Kada taj čvor s repom naiđe na vršni provodnik, zvuk i otpor trebali bi biti dostatan alarm za prestanak namatanja. Udvojena struna i spojni čvor se tijekom ribolova nalaze dovoljno daleko od udica da ne ometaju ribolov, a tijekom izvlačenja predstavljaju zadnje upozorenje koje bi trebalo uspješno sačuvati vrh od loma zbog prenamatanja.

Iako se udaljenost od dvadesetak centimetara od kraja može učiniti mala, ta je dimenzija kod većine ribolovaca sasvim dovoljna za refleksni prestanak namatanja.

A ako unatoč svemu utvrdite da spadate u onu manjinu kojoj ni taj posljednji alarm nije dostatan, tada nabavite otpornije vrhove, popustite kočnicu na roli, odradite kakav dopisni tečaj vježbe koncentracije ili jednostavno u pričuvi uvijek imajte desetak novih vršnih segmenata.
