Od 18. do 20. ožujka, u akvatoriju ispred Opatije, u organizaciji Yacht kluba Croatia, održava se Opatija CRO Melges 24 Cup, treća u nizu serije jedriličarskih regata u monotip klasi Melges 24.

Klasa Melges 24, međunarodno je rasprostranjena klasa monotip jedrilice, priznata od Svjetske jedriličarske federacije (ISAF - International Sailing Federation) i vrlo atraktivna vrhunskim i iskusnim jedriličarima upravo zbog činjenice da se jedri i natječe na jedrilicama istih tehničkih karakteristika što znači da na regatnom polju vlada ravnopravnost, a u borbama jedara odlučuje znanje, umješnost i uigranost kormilara i posade.

S preko 900 istih jedrilica na svijetu, ova klasa na međunarodnoj razini okuplja najbolje od jedriličarskog svijeta - sudionike America's Cup-a, Volvo Ocean Race-a, olimpijce, kao i mnogobrojne vrsne jedriličare profesionalce.

I u Hrvatskoj klasa Melges 24 okupila je kremu hrvatskog jedrenja – bivše i sadašnje olimpijce Šimu i Mihovila Fantelu, Tončija Stipanovića, Karla Kureta, Tomislava Bašića, Ivana Kljakovića Gašpića, Luku Radelića, Tonija Bulaju, Eniu Ninčević, Anđelu de Micheli Vitturi, kao i vrhunske jedriličare Filipa Jurišića, Tonka Ramešu, Luku Šangulina, Krešimira Đakulovića, Stipu Vitaljića, Darka Hajdinjaka i brojne druge.

Najbolja imena hrvatskog jedrenja tako će 19. i 20. ožujka na Opatija CRO Melges 24 Cupu demonstrirati svoja znanja i vještine u akvatoriju ispred Ičića i Opatije, a opatijski festival pod jedrima pratit će se i na međunarodnoj razini putem društvenih mreža i digitalnih platformi svjetskog udruženja klase Melges 24.

'Izuzetno smo ponosni da smo uspjeli organizirati sad već drugu regatu Opatija Cro Melges. Cup 24, te da se hrvatska jedriličarska Liga prvaka održava i na Sjevernom Jadranu. Posebno bih se zahvalio i sponzorima koji su prepoznali našu želju da ovakva jedna prestižna regata postane neizostavnim dijelom ponude opatijske rivijere, i zato veliko hvala ACI-ju, Liburnija Rivijera hotelima, gradu Opatiji, tvrtki Blocoutdoor, Turističkoj zajednici Ičića, Turističkoj zajednici grada Opatije, tvrtkama Marines sport, Solbris multisport coaching, Rogi ribaru i svima ostalima koji su nam na bilo koji način dali podršku. Vjerujem da ćemo opravdati njihovo povjerenje i ujedno pozivam sve da nam se pridruže ovog vikenda i na moru i na kopnu, u ACI marini u Ičićima', istaknuo je predsjednik Yacht kluba Croatia, Mladen Babac.

CRO Melges24 Cup jedri se uz partnerstvo specijalne bolnice Medico, Sailing Pointa i One Sailsa.

Start je za subotu i nedjelju predviđen u 11.00 sati, a organizatori u planu imaju održati šest jedrenja.

Od 18. do 20. ožujka, u akvatoriju ispred Opatije, u organizaciji Yacht kluba Croatia, održava se Opatija CRO Melges 24 Cup, treća u nizu serije jedriličarskih regata u monotip klasi Melges 24.

Klasa Melges 24, međunarodno je rasprostranjena klasa monotip jedrilice, priznata od Svjetske jedriličarske federacije (ISAF - International Sailing Federation) i vrlo atraktivna vrhunskim i iskusnim jedriličarima upravo zbog činjenice da se jedri i natječe na jedrilicama istih tehničkih karakteristika što znači da na regatnom polju vlada ravnopravnost, a u borbama jedara odlučuje znanje, umješnost i uigranost kormilara i posade.

S preko 900 istih jedrilica na svijetu, ova klasa na međunarodnoj razini okuplja najbolje od jedriličarskog svijeta - sudionike America's Cup-a, Volvo Ocean Race-a, olimpijce, kao i mnogobrojne vrsne jedriličare profesionalce.

I u Hrvatskoj klasa Melges 24 okupila je kremu hrvatskog jedrenja – bivše i sadašnje olimpijce Šimu i Mihovila Fantelu, Tončija Stipanovića, Karla Kureta, Tomislava Bašića, Ivana Kljakovića Gašpića, Luku Radelića, Tonija Bulaju, Eniu Ninčević, Anđelu de Micheli Vitturi, kao i vrhunske jedriličare Filipa Jurišića, Tonka Ramešu, Luku Šangulina, Krešimira Đakulovića, Stipu Vitaljića, Darka Hajdinjaka i brojne druge.

Najbolja imena hrvatskog jedrenja tako će 19. i 20. ožujka na Opatija CRO Melges 24 Cupu demonstrirati svoja znanja i vještine u akvatoriju ispred Ičića i Opatije, a opatijski festival pod jedrima pratit će se i na međunarodnoj razini putem društvenih mreža i digitalnih platformi svjetskog udruženja klase Melges 24.

'Izuzetno smo ponosni da smo uspjeli organizirati sad već drugu regatu Opatija Cro Melges. Cup 24, te da se hrvatska jedriličarska Liga prvaka održava i na Sjevernom Jadranu. Posebno bih se zahvalio i sponzorima koji su prepoznali našu želju da ovakva jedna prestižna regata postane neizostavnim dijelom ponude opatijske rivijere, i zato veliko hvala ACI-ju, Liburnija Rivijera hotelima, gradu Opatiji, tvrtki Blocoutdoor, Turističkoj zajednici Ičića, Turističkoj zajednici grada Opatije, tvrtkama Marines sport, Solbris multisport coaching, Rogi ribaru i svima ostalima koji su nam na bilo koji način dali podršku. Vjerujem da ćemo opravdati njihovo povjerenje i ujedno pozivam sve da nam se pridruže ovog vikenda i na moru i na kopnu, u ACI marini u Ičićima', istaknuo je predsjednik Yacht kluba Croatia, Mladen Babac.

CRO Melges24 Cup jedri se uz partnerstvo specijalne bolnice Medico, Sailing Pointa i One Sailsa.

Start je za subotu i nedjelju predviđen u 11.00 sati, a organizatori u planu imaju održati šest jedrenja.
