U petak su studenti Odjela za turizam i komunikacijske znanosti, Odjela za geografiju i Odjela za ekologiju, agronomiju i akvakulturu Sveučilišta u Zadru, učenici Osnovne škole Petar Lorini u Salima i djelatnici trgovina Müller u Zadru sudjelovali su u akciji čišćenja uvale Most na Dugom otoku. Akciju su potpomogli ronioci ronilačkog kluba KPA Zadar.

Akciju je organiziralo više udruga i ustanova uz sufinanciranje međunarodne fondacije „Save the ocean. Wear the change, MBRC the ocean.“ Putem mreže MBRC čvorišta za čišćenje, njihov tim od 4.000 posvećenih sakupljača otpada i volontera organizira čišćenje svaki dan diljem svijeta. Od Islanda do Australije, Indonezije do Kostarike, MBRC čvorišta za čišćenje i volonteri imaju ogroman utjecaj na lokalni okoliš i zajednice.

Za prvu ekološku akciju u projektu odabran je Dugi otok, nakon čega će slijediti akcije na području Splita, Dubrovnika, Šibenika, Krka… U dogovoru s lokalnom zajednicom volonteri su došli na sjeverni dio otoka, na kojemu zadnjih nekoliko godina nije bilo ekoloških akcija.

- Akciji je pristupilo sedamdesetak volontera, od čega oko 20 ronilaca, koji su čistili podmorje i morsku obalu. Iako se na prvi pogled činilo da nema puno plastike, u nekoliko sati prikupili smo pun kamion komunalnog društva, odnosno oko jedne tone otpada, govori nam jedan od organizatora akcije Dejan Kosić.

Volonteri su se odmah po dolasku na otok prihvatili posla, što ne znači da je nedostajalo dobre atmosfere i druženja. Akciju su podržali i domaći mještani Veloga Rata, Polja i Verunića u Kampu Kargita, koji su zajedno s njima prikupili gotovo 1.000 kilograma različitog otpada (plastike, gume, željeza i dr.). Sve što nije pripadalo ovom prirodnom biseru, a riječ je o otpadu kojeg su ostavili ljudi, ili su ga nanijeli vjetar, morska struja ili neke druge okolnosti, iz okoliša je premješteno u posebne vreće, koje su također bile rezultat nekih prošlih akcija.

- Jedan od najvažnijih ciljeva projekta je pokazati kako bi se obala mogla automatizirano čistiti, uz pomoć robota i umjetne inteligencije, ali i kako se prikupljeni otpad može ponovno upotrijebiti. Od plastike prikupljene s plaža proizvodimo plastične kante koje darujemo školama i vrtićima za ponovno prikupljanje otpada, od polietilena low density proizvodimo nove vreće za prikupljanje otpada, a polietilena high density kašete koje također koristimo u akcijama poput ove, kaže Kosić.

Svi sudionici akcije educirali su se o problemu plastičnog otpada na plažama, a zasigurno postali i promotori ekologije u prostoru u kojemu budu obitavali.

Nakon čišćenja uvale Most domaćini su svim sudionicima akcije osigurali ručak. Uz zajedničko druženje i pjesmu, bila je ovo prilika za uživanje u značajnom krajobrazu Dugog otoka te podizanje svijesti, osjećaja odgovornosti i rješavanja problema otpada u moru i na plažama.

Suorganizatori akcije bili su Općina Sali s komunalnim društvima, Turistička zajednica Dugi otok, Udruga Eko Kvarner i Müller Hrvatska. Svoju podršku dalo je Sveučilište u Zadru i Mardešić d.o.o. te gradsko poduzeće Liburnija, koje je svim sudionicima osiguralo prijevoz na otoku.

U petak su studenti Odjela za turizam i komunikacijske znanosti, Odjela za geografiju i Odjela za ekologiju, agronomiju i akvakulturu Sveučilišta u Zadru, učenici Osnovne škole Petar Lorini u Salima i djelatnici trgovina Müller u Zadru sudjelovali su u akciji čišćenja uvale Most na Dugom otoku. Akciju su potpomogli ronioci ronilačkog kluba KPA Zadar.

Akciju je organiziralo više udruga i ustanova uz sufinanciranje međunarodne fondacije „Save the ocean. Wear the change, MBRC the ocean.“ Putem mreže MBRC čvorišta za čišćenje, njihov tim od 4.000 posvećenih sakupljača otpada i volontera organizira čišćenje svaki dan diljem svijeta. Od Islanda do Australije, Indonezije do Kostarike, MBRC čvorišta za čišćenje i volonteri imaju ogroman utjecaj na lokalni okoliš i zajednice.

Za prvu ekološku akciju u projektu odabran je Dugi otok, nakon čega će slijediti akcije na području Splita, Dubrovnika, Šibenika, Krka… U dogovoru s lokalnom zajednicom volonteri su došli na sjeverni dio otoka, na kojemu zadnjih nekoliko godina nije bilo ekoloških akcija.

- Akciji je pristupilo sedamdesetak volontera, od čega oko 20 ronilaca, koji su čistili podmorje i morsku obalu. Iako se na prvi pogled činilo da nema puno plastike, u nekoliko sati prikupili smo pun kamion komunalnog društva, odnosno oko jedne tone otpada, govori nam jedan od organizatora akcije Dejan Kosić.

Volonteri su se odmah po dolasku na otok prihvatili posla, što ne znači da je nedostajalo dobre atmosfere i druženja. Akciju su podržali i domaći mještani Veloga Rata, Polja i Verunića u Kampu Kargita, koji su zajedno s njima prikupili gotovo 1.000 kilograma različitog otpada (plastike, gume, željeza i dr.). Sve što nije pripadalo ovom prirodnom biseru, a riječ je o otpadu kojeg su ostavili ljudi, ili su ga nanijeli vjetar, morska struja ili neke druge okolnosti, iz okoliša je premješteno u posebne vreće, koje su također bile rezultat nekih prošlih akcija.

- Jedan od najvažnijih ciljeva projekta je pokazati kako bi se obala mogla automatizirano čistiti, uz pomoć robota i umjetne inteligencije, ali i kako se prikupljeni otpad može ponovno upotrijebiti. Od plastike prikupljene s plaža proizvodimo plastične kante koje darujemo školama i vrtićima za ponovno prikupljanje otpada, od polietilena low density proizvodimo nove vreće za prikupljanje otpada, a polietilena high density kašete koje također koristimo u akcijama poput ove, kaže Kosić.

Svi sudionici akcije educirali su se o problemu plastičnog otpada na plažama, a zasigurno postali i promotori ekologije u prostoru u kojemu budu obitavali.

Nakon čišćenja uvale Most domaćini su svim sudionicima akcije osigurali ručak. Uz zajedničko druženje i pjesmu, bila je ovo prilika za uživanje u značajnom krajobrazu Dugog otoka te podizanje svijesti, osjećaja odgovornosti i rješavanja problema otpada u moru i na plažama.

Suorganizatori akcije bili su Općina Sali s komunalnim društvima, Turistička zajednica Dugi otok, Udruga Eko Kvarner i Müller Hrvatska. Svoju podršku dalo je Sveučilište u Zadru i Mardešić d.o.o. te gradsko poduzeće Liburnija, koje je svim sudionicima osiguralo prijevoz na otoku.
