Marta Ortega, kći osnivača i vlasnika Inditexa, u petak je u svoje ruke preuzela uzde tvrtke Zara i time postala najmoćnijom ženom u svijetu konfekcije.
O ovoj 38-godišnjakinji kažu da je diskretna i tajnovita i već se dugo znalo da će jednog dana preuzeti upravljanje najvećim distributerom jeftine mode, koji prednjači čak i pred švedskim H&M-om i posjeduje oko 6500 trgovina diljem svijeta.
No Inditex, tvrtka koja u svom vlasništvu osim Zare ima i druge brendove poput Bershke, Massima Duttija i Oyosha, tek je studenome objavila da će Ortega 1. travnja zamijeniti izvršnog direktora Pabla Islu, zaslužnog za veliko proširenje tvrtke tijekom prošloga desetljeća.
Ovu je zamjenu orkestrirao Martin otac Amancio Ortega, koji je Inditex osnovao 1985. godine. On je 2011. dao ostavku na mjesto predsjednika uprave, ali je i dalje većinski vlasnik tvrtke što ga čini jednim od najbogatijih ljudi na svijetu.
“Za ovu se tranziciju pripremamo već dulje vrijeme”, obznanio je Isla na novinskoj konferenciji. “Marta za tvrtku radi već 15 godina. Vodila je mnoge projekte te poznaje tvrtku kao svoj džep”, dodao je.
Veze u svijetu mode
Marta, koja je jedino dijete Amancia Ortege s Florom Perez, odrasla je u kišovitom ribarskom lučkom gradu La Coruni na sjeverozapadu Španjolske zajedno sa svojom polusestrom Sandrom i polubratom Marcosom.
Školovala se u internatu u Švicarskoj, te je završila Europsku školu za poduzetništvo u Londonu 2007., nakon čega je kratko radila kao asistentica u Zarinoj trgovini u Londonu kako bi bolje razumjela kako tvrtka posluje.
Iako tom prilikom nije rekla da je kći vlasnika Inditexa, njezini su kolege to dojavili španjolskim medijima čim su primijetili Rolex na njenom zapešću.

“Prvih tjedan rada mislila sam da neću preživjeti. No ubrzo me trgovina osvojila, postala sam ovisna o njoj. Neki je nikad ne žele napustiti”, kazala je u intervjuu za Wall Street Journal u kolovozu 2021.
Ortega obožava jahanje, te se ranije natjecala u preponskom jahanju. Potom se zaposlila u sjedištu Inditexa u Galiciji, gdje već nekoliko godina razvija imidž Zare.
“Ostvarila je mnoge veze u svijetu mode”, kazao je za AFP Alfred Vernis, profesor u Španjolskoj školi za poduzetništvo ESADE i jedan od bivših direktora Inditexa.
Ortega je česta gošća modnih revija, a njezin prepoznatljiv lik vitke figure i plave kose nerijetko sjedi u prvom redu kraj modnih ikona poput glavne urednice Voguea Anne Wintour.
Dobro pripremljena
Pod njezinom PR upravom, Zara je pokrenula kampanje zajedno s nekim od najpoznatijih umjetnika poput američkog modnog fotografa Stevena Meisela, koji se proslavio fotografijama Madonne objavljenima 1992. godine u njezinoj “Knjizi seksa” i talijanskog redatelja Luce Guadagnina.
Također je zaslužna za izdizanje Zare iznad konkurencije i otvaranje trgovine u ulicama u kojima se pretežno nalaze dizajnerski butici.
No kad je najavljeno da će postati predsjednicom uprave pojavile su se sumnje u njezinu sposobnost zbog manjka iskustva u menadžmentu, zbog čega su dionice Inditexa pale.
No te su sumnje u međuvremenu isparile. Ortega je “dobro pripremljena” i dobro se snalazi u tvrtci, kazao je Vernis. Dolazi na položaj u vrijeme ruske invazije na Ukrajinu zbog čega je Inditex zatvorio 502 trgovine u Rusiji. Ona će na mjestu predsjedateljice Inditexa godišnje zarađivati oko milijun eura.
Ortega, kao i drugi članovi njene obitelji, rijetko govori o svome privatnom životu, no fotografije njezina raskošnog vjenčanja s drugim mužem Carlosom Torrettom 2018. objavljene su u mnogim časopisima o slavnima.
U braku s Torrettom rodila je kćer 2020., a ima i sina iz prošlog braka sa Sergiom Alvarezom Moyom.

Marta Ortega, kći osnivača i vlasnika Inditexa, u petak je u svoje ruke preuzela uzde tvrtke Zara i time postala najmoćnijom ženom u svijetu konfekcije.
O ovoj 38-godišnjakinji kažu da je diskretna i tajnovita i već se dugo znalo da će jednog dana preuzeti upravljanje najvećim distributerom jeftine mode, koji prednjači čak i pred švedskim H&M-om i posjeduje oko 6500 trgovina diljem svijeta.
No Inditex, tvrtka koja u svom vlasništvu osim Zare ima i druge brendove poput Bershke, Massima Duttija i Oyosha, tek je studenome objavila da će Ortega 1. travnja zamijeniti izvršnog direktora Pabla Islu, zaslužnog za veliko proširenje tvrtke tijekom prošloga desetljeća.
Ovu je zamjenu orkestrirao Martin otac Amancio Ortega, koji je Inditex osnovao 1985. godine. On je 2011. dao ostavku na mjesto predsjednika uprave, ali je i dalje većinski vlasnik tvrtke što ga čini jednim od najbogatijih ljudi na svijetu.
“Za ovu se tranziciju pripremamo već dulje vrijeme”, obznanio je Isla na novinskoj konferenciji. “Marta za tvrtku radi već 15 godina. Vodila je mnoge projekte te poznaje tvrtku kao svoj džep”, dodao je.
Veze u svijetu mode
Marta, koja je jedino dijete Amancia Ortege s Florom Perez, odrasla je u kišovitom ribarskom lučkom gradu La Coruni na sjeverozapadu Španjolske zajedno sa svojom polusestrom Sandrom i polubratom Marcosom.
Školovala se u internatu u Švicarskoj, te je završila Europsku školu za poduzetništvo u Londonu 2007., nakon čega je kratko radila kao asistentica u Zarinoj trgovini u Londonu kako bi bolje razumjela kako tvrtka posluje.
Iako tom prilikom nije rekla da je kći vlasnika Inditexa, njezini su kolege to dojavili španjolskim medijima čim su primijetili Rolex na njenom zapešću.

“Prvih tjedan rada mislila sam da neću preživjeti. No ubrzo me trgovina osvojila, postala sam ovisna o njoj. Neki je nikad ne žele napustiti”, kazala je u intervjuu za Wall Street Journal u kolovozu 2021.
Ortega obožava jahanje, te se ranije natjecala u preponskom jahanju. Potom se zaposlila u sjedištu Inditexa u Galiciji, gdje već nekoliko godina razvija imidž Zare.
“Ostvarila je mnoge veze u svijetu mode”, kazao je za AFP Alfred Vernis, profesor u Španjolskoj školi za poduzetništvo ESADE i jedan od bivših direktora Inditexa.
Ortega je česta gošća modnih revija, a njezin prepoznatljiv lik vitke figure i plave kose nerijetko sjedi u prvom redu kraj modnih ikona poput glavne urednice Voguea Anne Wintour.
Dobro pripremljena
Pod njezinom PR upravom, Zara je pokrenula kampanje zajedno s nekim od najpoznatijih umjetnika poput američkog modnog fotografa Stevena Meisela, koji se proslavio fotografijama Madonne objavljenima 1992. godine u njezinoj “Knjizi seksa” i talijanskog redatelja Luce Guadagnina.
Također je zaslužna za izdizanje Zare iznad konkurencije i otvaranje trgovine u ulicama u kojima se pretežno nalaze dizajnerski butici.
No kad je najavljeno da će postati predsjednicom uprave pojavile su se sumnje u njezinu sposobnost zbog manjka iskustva u menadžmentu, zbog čega su dionice Inditexa pale.
No te su sumnje u međuvremenu isparile. Ortega je “dobro pripremljena” i dobro se snalazi u tvrtci, kazao je Vernis. Dolazi na položaj u vrijeme ruske invazije na Ukrajinu zbog čega je Inditex zatvorio 502 trgovine u Rusiji. Ona će na mjestu predsjedateljice Inditexa godišnje zarađivati oko milijun eura.
Ortega, kao i drugi članovi njene obitelji, rijetko govori o svome privatnom životu, no fotografije njezina raskošnog vjenčanja s drugim mužem Carlosom Torrettom 2018. objavljene su u mnogim časopisima o slavnima.
U braku s Torrettom rodila je kćer 2020., a ima i sina iz prošlog braka sa Sergiom Alvarezom Moyom.
