„Pismom Majci Mariji od Staroga grada“ jedinstveni je glazbeni susret na području Zadarske županije koji će se 6. rujna po prvi puta održati u Pagu u tamošnjoj  zbornoj crkvi Uznesenja blažene djevice Marije u kojoj je izložen čudotvorni kip Majke Božje od Staroga Grada.

Razdoblje između Velike i Male Gospe posebno je za sve žitelje ovoga otoka jer osim što se kip Bogorodice nalazi u zbornoj crkvi to je vrijeme ujedno obilježeno i svakodnevnom molitvom krunice od jutra do kasno navečer. Zborna crkva u Pagu jedinstvena je u Zadarskoj nadbiskupiji, ali i šire, po tome što se kroz razdoblje od Velike do Male Gospe krunica moli četiri puta dnevno.

Iako ovaj gotički kip Bogorodice, o čijem nastanku ne znamo puno, predstavlja jednu od najvrednijih umjetnina i povijesnu baštinu koju grad i otok Pag imaju – on predstavlja i mnogo više od toga. Predstavlja vjeru svih Pažana i vjeru niza generacija njihovih predaka koji su s cijelog otoka, pa i šire, dolazili k Njoj i njenom Sinu kako bi iz svojih srca izlijevali svoje patnje, brige i probleme, ali i svoju zahvalnost za uslišane molitve i čuda učinjenih po njenom zagovoru.  

Ove je godine na dan Stomorine (Velike Gospe) održana 168. procesija s kipom Majke Božje. Zbog zarazne bolesti -  kolere tog je ljeta 1855., kako je zabilježeno, bilo dana kada je umiralo po dvadesetero ljudi dnevno. U stanju straha i žalosti ljudi se utječu Majci Božjoj da za njih posreduje kod Boga. S molitvom na usnama odlaze u davno napušteni, ali nikad zaboravljeni stari Grad Pag jer je na brijegu ostala stara Zborna crkva s oltarom i kipom Majke Marije s Djetetom.

U samostanu sagrađenom pored stare Zborne crkve nakon preseljenja u novi Pag još su jedino stanovali oci franjevci koji su Svetište održavali. Na dan Stomorine, moleći se za čudo ozdravljenja, predvođeni svećenikom don Šimom Meštrovićem, skupina ljudi gotovo spontano uzima kip iz crkve i nosi ga u novi Pag. Veliki je pomor prestao, a stanovništvo Paga opstalo. Zavjet je učinjen i od tada svake godine na dan Stomorine Marijin kip donosi se u novu Zbornu crkvu.

Dvadeset i tri dana Marija i Isus, urešeni zavjetnim darovima i cvijećem, sa srebrnim krunama na glavama i na svečanoj nosiljci pred kojom gori šest zavjetnih svijeća, stoluju u novome gradu do dana proslave Marijinog rođenja, blagdana Male Gospe kada ih se vraća u Stari grad da od tamo i dalje bdiju nad  gradom i otokom.

Na sutrašnjem koncertu tijekom kojeg ćemo imati prilike čuti niz pjesama u klapskoj i zborskoj izvedbi inspiriranih Marijom i kršćanskom misli nastupit će otočne klape Peružini, Sol, Galiota, Navalia i Muštre, V.S. Jubilate Deo i Crkveni zbor iz Paga.

Početak je u 20,30 u zbornoj crkvi Uznesenja BDM u Pagu, ulaz je slobodan.

„Pismom Majci Mariji od Staroga grada“ jedinstveni je glazbeni susret na području Zadarske županije koji će se 6. rujna po prvi puta održati u Pagu u tamošnjoj  zbornoj crkvi Uznesenja blažene djevice Marije u kojoj je izložen čudotvorni kip Majke Božje od Staroga Grada.

Razdoblje između Velike i Male Gospe posebno je za sve žitelje ovoga otoka jer osim što se kip Bogorodice nalazi u zbornoj crkvi to je vrijeme ujedno obilježeno i svakodnevnom molitvom krunice od jutra do kasno navečer. Zborna crkva u Pagu jedinstvena je u Zadarskoj nadbiskupiji, ali i šire, po tome što se kroz razdoblje od Velike do Male Gospe krunica moli četiri puta dnevno.

Iako ovaj gotički kip Bogorodice, o čijem nastanku ne znamo puno, predstavlja jednu od najvrednijih umjetnina i povijesnu baštinu koju grad i otok Pag imaju – on predstavlja i mnogo više od toga. Predstavlja vjeru svih Pažana i vjeru niza generacija njihovih predaka koji su s cijelog otoka, pa i šire, dolazili k Njoj i njenom Sinu kako bi iz svojih srca izlijevali svoje patnje, brige i probleme, ali i svoju zahvalnost za uslišane molitve i čuda učinjenih po njenom zagovoru.  

Ove je godine na dan Stomorine (Velike Gospe) održana 168. procesija s kipom Majke Božje. Zbog zarazne bolesti -  kolere tog je ljeta 1855., kako je zabilježeno, bilo dana kada je umiralo po dvadesetero ljudi dnevno. U stanju straha i žalosti ljudi se utječu Majci Božjoj da za njih posreduje kod Boga. S molitvom na usnama odlaze u davno napušteni, ali nikad zaboravljeni stari Grad Pag jer je na brijegu ostala stara Zborna crkva s oltarom i kipom Majke Marije s Djetetom.

U samostanu sagrađenom pored stare Zborne crkve nakon preseljenja u novi Pag još su jedino stanovali oci franjevci koji su Svetište održavali. Na dan Stomorine, moleći se za čudo ozdravljenja, predvođeni svećenikom don Šimom Meštrovićem, skupina ljudi gotovo spontano uzima kip iz crkve i nosi ga u novi Pag. Veliki je pomor prestao, a stanovništvo Paga opstalo. Zavjet je učinjen i od tada svake godine na dan Stomorine Marijin kip donosi se u novu Zbornu crkvu.

Dvadeset i tri dana Marija i Isus, urešeni zavjetnim darovima i cvijećem, sa srebrnim krunama na glavama i na svečanoj nosiljci pred kojom gori šest zavjetnih svijeća, stoluju u novome gradu do dana proslave Marijinog rođenja, blagdana Male Gospe kada ih se vraća u Stari grad da od tamo i dalje bdiju nad  gradom i otokom.

Na sutrašnjem koncertu tijekom kojeg ćemo imati prilike čuti niz pjesama u klapskoj i zborskoj izvedbi inspiriranih Marijom i kršćanskom misli nastupit će otočne klape Peružini, Sol, Galiota, Navalia i Muštre, V.S. Jubilate Deo i Crkveni zbor iz Paga.

Početak je u 20,30 u zbornoj crkvi Uznesenja BDM u Pagu, ulaz je slobodan.

„Pismom Majci Mariji od Staroga grada“ jedinstveni je glazbeni susret na području Zadarske županije koji će se 6. rujna po prvi puta održati u Pagu u tamošnjoj  zbornoj crkvi Uznesenja blažene djevice Marije u kojoj je izložen čudotvorni kip Majke Božje od Staroga Grada.

Razdoblje između Velike i Male Gospe posebno je za sve žitelje ovoga otoka jer osim što se kip Bogorodice nalazi u zbornoj crkvi to je vrijeme ujedno obilježeno i svakodnevnom molitvom krunice od jutra do kasno navečer. Zborna crkva u Pagu jedinstvena je u Zadarskoj nadbiskupiji, ali i šire, po tome što se kroz razdoblje od Velike do Male Gospe krunica moli četiri puta dnevno.

Iako ovaj gotički kip Bogorodice, o čijem nastanku ne znamo puno, predstavlja jednu od najvrednijih umjetnina i povijesnu baštinu koju grad i otok Pag imaju – on predstavlja i mnogo više od toga. Predstavlja vjeru svih Pažana i vjeru niza generacija njihovih predaka koji su s cijelog otoka, pa i šire, dolazili k Njoj i njenom Sinu kako bi iz svojih srca izlijevali svoje patnje, brige i probleme, ali i svoju zahvalnost za uslišane molitve i čuda učinjenih po njenom zagovoru.  

Ove je godine na dan Stomorine (Velike Gospe) održana 168. procesija s kipom Majke Božje.
