Pfizerovo i AstraZenecino cjepivo protiv koronavirusa je nakon jedne doze 80 posto učinkovito u sprječavanju hospitalizacija osoba iznad 80 godina, objavile su u ponedjeljak britanske zdravstvene vlasti.

Britanski zavod za javno zdravstvo (PHE) predstavio je rezultate istraživanja na temelju dosadašnjeg cijepljenja u Britaniji.
Utvrđeno je da zaštita protiv covida-19 starijih od 70 godina varira između 57 i 61 posto nakon primanja jedne doze Pfizer-BioNTechovog cjepiva i između 60-73 posto nakon primanja cjepiva Oxforda i AstraZenece četiri tjedna nakon prve doze. 

"Ovakvi rezultati bi također mogli objasniti zašto je pao broj prijema covid bolesnika na jedinice intenzivne njege među ljudima iznad 80 godina u Velikoj Britaniji u nekoliko proteklih tjedana, što je nešto što svi pozdravljamo", rekao je na konferenciji za medije ministar zdravstva Matt Hancock.

"To je zaista ohrabrujuće", istaknuo je.

PHE je dodao da se analogijom može pretpostaviti da je u slučaju Pfizerova cjepiva smrtnost od posljedica covida-19 manja za 83 posto. Za AstraZenecu ne postoje ekvivalentni podaci jer je cijepljenje počelo kasnije. 

Voditeljica imunizacije u PHE-u Mary Ramsay rekla je da je učinak cijepljenja već očit, iako je potrebno provesti više istraživanja da bi se shvatio učinak cjepiva na prijenos koronavirusa.  

"Ovo je samo dodatak rastućim dokazima koji pokazuju da cjepiva funkcioniraju u smanjenu zaraze i spašavanju života", rekla je. "Iako trebamo još podataka, ovo je ohrabrujuće i jako smo uvjereni da cjepiva imaju stvaran učinak."

Drugi službenik PHE-a rekao je da je potrebno još vremena kako bi se odredila učinkovitost cjepiva protiv takozvanog britanskog soja koronavirusa. 

Prvu dozu cjepiva primilo je više od 20 milijuna Britanaca ili trećina odrasle populacije.

Pfizerovo i AstraZenecino cjepivo protiv koronavirusa je nakon jedne doze 80 posto učinkovito u sprječavanju hospitalizacija osoba iznad 80 godina, objavile su u ponedjeljak britanske zdravstvene vlasti.

Britanski zavod za javno zdravstvo (PHE) predstavio je rezultate istraživanja na temelju dosadašnjeg cijepljenja u Britaniji.
Utvrđeno je da zaštita protiv covida-19 starijih od 70 godina varira između 57 i 61 posto nakon primanja jedne doze Pfizer-BioNTechovog cjepiva i između 60-73 posto nakon primanja cjepiva Oxforda i AstraZenece četiri tjedna nakon prve doze. 

"Ovakvi rezultati bi također mogli objasniti zašto je pao broj prijema covid bolesnika na jedinice intenzivne njege među ljudima iznad 80 godina u Velikoj Britaniji u nekoliko proteklih tjedana, što je nešto što svi pozdravljamo", rekao je na konferenciji za medije ministar zdravstva Matt Hancock.

"To je zaista ohrabrujuće", istaknuo je.

PHE je dodao da se analogijom može pretpostaviti da je u slučaju Pfizerova cjepiva smrtnost od posljedica covida-19 manja za 83 posto. Za AstraZenecu ne postoje ekvivalentni podaci jer je cijepljenje počelo kasnije. 

Voditeljica imunizacije u PHE-u Mary Ramsay rekla je da je učinak cijepljenja već očit, iako je potrebno provesti više istraživanja da bi se shvatio učinak cjepiva na prijenos koronavirusa.  

"Ovo je samo dodatak rastućim dokazima koji pokazuju da cjepiva funkcioniraju u smanjenu zaraze i spašavanju života", rekla je. "Iako trebamo još podataka, ovo je ohrabrujuće i jako smo uvjereni da cjepiva imaju stvaran učinak."

Drugi službenik PHE-a rekao je da je potrebno još vremena kako bi se odredila učinkovitost cjepiva protiv takozvanog britanskog soja koronavirusa. 

Prvu dozu cjepiva primilo je više od 20 milijuna Britanaca ili trećina odrasle populacije.

Učinkoviti nakon jedne doze: Pfizerovo i AstraZenecino cjepivo smanjuju teže oblike covida za 80 posto, pokazuju novi rezultati

Pfizerovo i AstraZenecino cjepivo protiv koronavirusa je nakon jedne doze 80 posto učinkovito u sprječavanju hospitalizacija osoba iznad 80 godina, objavile su u ponedjeljak britanske zdravstvene vlasti.

Britanski zavod za javno zdravstvo (PHE) predstavio je rezultate istraživanja na temelju dosadašnjeg cijepljenja u Britaniji.
Utvrđeno je da zaštita protiv covida-19 starijih od 70 godina varira između 57 i 61 posto nakon primanja jedne doze Pfizer-BioNTechovog cjepiva i između 60-73 posto nakon primanja cjepiva Oxforda i AstraZenece četiri tjedna nakon prve doze. 

"Ovakvi rezultati bi također mogli objasniti zašto je pao broj prijema covid bolesnika na jedinice intenzivne njege među ljudima iznad 80 godina u Velikoj Britaniji u nekoliko proteklih tjedana, što je nešto što svi pozdravljamo", rekao je na konferenciji za medije ministar zdravstva Matt Hancock.

"To je zaista ohrabrujuće", istaknuo je.

PHE je dodao da se analogijom može pretpostaviti da je u slučaju Pfizerova cjepiva smrtnost od posljedica covida-19 manja za 83 posto. Za AstraZenecu ne postoje ekvivalentni podaci jer je cijepljenje počelo kasnije. 

Voditeljica imunizacije u PHE-u Mary Ramsay rekla je da je učinak cijepljenja već očit, iako je potrebno provesti više istraživanja da bi se shvatio učinak cjepiva na prijenos koronavirusa.  

"Ovo je samo dodatak rastućim dokazima koji pokazuju da cjepiva funkcioniraju u smanjenu zaraze i spašavanju života", rekla je. "Iako trebamo još podataka, ovo je ohrabrujuće i jako smo uvjereni da cjepiva imaju stvaran učinak."

Drugi službenik PHE-a rekao je da je potrebno još vremena kako bi se odredila učinkovitost cjepiva protiv takozvanog britanskog soja koronavirusa. 

Prvu dozu cjepiva primilo je više od 20 milijuna Britanaca ili trećina odrasle populacije.
