Južnokorejski zdravstveni stručnjaci objavili su danas kako su se pacijenti oporavljeni od bolesti Covid-19 izazvane koronavirusom ponovno testirali pozitivnima najvjerojatnije zbog tragova fragmenata neaktivnog virusa u njihovim stanicama, prenosi tamošnja novinska agencija Yonhap.

Ono što zanima čitav svijet, a još nije potvrđeno, pitanje je razvija li osoba imunitet nakon što preboli bolest koju izaziva novi koronavirus. Budući da je danas poznato kako postoje slučajevi koji su se nakon nekog vremena ponovno pokazali pozitivnima, logično je da i stručnjaci strahuju od "najcrnjeg scenarija".

Korejski centar za kontrolu i prevenciju bolesti objavio je kako je u državi ukupno 277 slučajeva oporavljenih pacijenata koji su se ponovno testirali pozitivnima. No to, tvrde, nije zato što nisu razvili imunitet ili ponovno oboljeli od koronavirusa, već zbog spomenutih fragmenata ostataka virusa.

U takvim slučajevima, naime, nema živog virusa prisutnog u tijelu pacijenta, tvrde, odbijajući navode kako je moglo doći do recidiva. Testovi su, upravo suprotno, registrirali ostatke stare infekcije.

Južna Koreja koristi PCR testove.

- RNA fragmenti virusa mogu postojati u stanicama čak i ako je virus neaktivan. Vjerojatnije je da su testovi onih koji su se ponovno testirali pozitivnima pokupili dio informacije koja je umrtvljena, stoji u priopćenju koje prenosi agencija Yonhap.

Oh Myoung-don, prvi čovjek stručnog odbora, ponovna je pozitivna testiranja pripisao "tehničkim limitima PCR testova".

Dodao je i kako je nemoguće da se virus ponovno aktivira bez da se izazove kronična infekcija.

- Virus koji izaziva Covid-19 drugačiji je od onih HIV-a i hepatitisa B u kojemu virus ostaje dominantan u jezgrama stanica domaćina i izaziva kroničnu infekciju. Koronavirus ne ulazi u jezgru stanica i ne miješa se s pacijentovim DNA, objasnio je Myoung-don.

Iako se velika količina pacijenata ne oporavi unutar dva do četiri tjedna koliko je Svjetska zdravstvena organizacija prognozirala da bi oporavak mogao trajati, infekcija se dosad nije pokazala kroničnom. 

U Južnoj Koreji broj oboljelih je došao na 10,761, a u posljednjih 11 dana nije zabilježen rast broja zaraženih - on ostaje ispod 15 po danu.

Južnokorejski zdravstveni stručnjaci objavili su danas kako su se pacijenti oporavljeni od bolesti Covid-19 izazvane koronavirusom ponovno testirali pozitivnima najvjerojatnije zbog tragova fragmenata neaktivnog virusa u njihovim stanicama, prenosi tamošnja novinska agencija Yonhap.

Ono što zanima čitav svijet, a još nije potvrđeno, pitanje je razvija li osoba imunitet nakon što preboli bolest koju izaziva novi koronavirus. Budući da je danas poznato kako postoje slučajevi koji su se nakon nekog vremena ponovno pokazali pozitivnima, logično je da i stručnjaci strahuju od "najcrnjeg scenarija".

Korejski centar za kontrolu i prevenciju bolesti objavio je kako je u državi ukupno 277 slučajeva oporavljenih pacijenata koji su se ponovno testirali pozitivnima. No to, tvrde, nije zato što nisu razvili imunitet ili ponovno oboljeli od koronavirusa, već zbog spomenutih fragmenata ostataka virusa.

U takvim slučajevima, naime, nema živog virusa prisutnog u tijelu pacijenta, tvrde, odbijajući navode kako je moglo doći do recidiva. Testovi su, upravo suprotno, registrirali ostatke stare infekcije.

Južna Koreja koristi PCR testove.

- RNA fragmenti virusa mogu postojati u stanicama čak i ako je virus neaktivan. Vjerojatnije je da su testovi onih koji su se ponovno testirali pozitivnima pokupili dio informacije koja je umrtvljena, stoji u priopćenju koje prenosi agencija Yonhap.

Oh Myoung-don, prvi čovjek stručnog odbora, ponovna je pozitivna testiranja pripisao "tehničkim limitima PCR testova".

Dodao je i kako je nemoguće da se virus ponovno aktivira bez da se izazove kronična infekcija.

- Virus koji izaziva Covid-19 drugačiji je od onih HIV-a i hepatitisa B u kojemu virus ostaje dominantan u jezgrama stanica domaćina i izaziva kroničnu infekciju. Koronavirus ne ulazi u jezgru stanica i ne miješa se s pacijentovim DNA, objasnio je Myoung-don.

Iako se velika količina pacijenata ne oporavi unutar dva do četiri tjedna koliko je Svjetska zdravstvena organizacija prognozirala da bi oporavak mogao trajati, infekcija se dosad nije pokazala kroničnom. 

U Južnoj Koreji broj oboljelih je došao na 10,761, a u posljednjih 11 dana nije zabilježen rast broja zaraženih - on ostaje ispod 15 po danu.

Južnokorejski zdravstveni stručnjaci objavili su danas kako su se pacijenti oporavljeni od bolesti Covid-19 izazvane koronavirusom ponovno testirali pozitivnima najvjerojatnije zbog tragova fragmenata neaktivnog virusa u njihovim stanicama, prenosi tamošnja novinska agencija Yonhap.

Ono što zanima čitav svijet, a još nije potvrđeno, pitanje je razvija li osoba imunitet nakon što preboli bolest koju izaziva novi koronavirus. Budući da je danas poznato kako postoje slučajevi koji su se nakon nekog vremena ponovno pokazali pozitivnima, logično je da i stručnjaci strahuju od "najcrnjeg scenarija".

Korejski centar za kontrolu i prevenciju bolesti objavio je kako je u državi ukupno 277 slučajeva oporavljenih pacijenata koji su se ponovno testirali pozitivnima. No to, tvrde, nije zato što nisu razvili imunitet ili ponovno oboljeli od koronavirusa, već zbog spomenutih fragmenata ostataka virusa.

U takvim slučajevima, naime, nema živog virusa prisutnog u tijelu pacijenta, tvrde, odbijajući navode kako je moglo doći do recidiva. Testovi su, upravo suprotno, registrirali ostatke stare infekcije.

Južna Koreja koristi PCR testove.

- RNA fragmenti virusa mogu postojati u stanicama čak i ako je virus neaktivan. Vjerojatnije je da su testovi onih koji su se ponovno testirali pozitivnima pokupili dio informacije koja je umrtvljena, stoji u priopćenju koje prenosi agencija Yonhap.

Oh Myoung-don, prvi čovjek stručnog odbora, ponovna je pozitivna testiranja pripisao "tehničkim limitima PCR testova".

Dodao je i kako je nemoguće da se virus ponovno aktivira bez da se izazove kronična infekcija.

- Virus koji izaziva Covid-19 drugačiji je od onih HIV-a i hepatitisa B u kojemu virus ostaje dominantan u jezgrama stanica domaćina i izaziva kroničnu infekciju. Koronavirus ne ulazi u jezgru stanica i ne miješa se s pacijentovim DNA, objasnio je Myoung-don.

Iako se velika količina pacijenata ne oporavi unutar dva do četiri tjedna koliko je Svjetska zdravstvena organizacija prognozirala da bi oporavak mogao trajati, infekcija se dosad nije pokazala kroničnom. 

U Južnoj Koreji broj oboljelih je došao na 10,761, a u posljednjih 11 dana nije zabilježen rast broja zaraženih - on ostaje ispod 15 po danu.
