Gotovo da ovo postaje nekakav klišej, daroviti tenisači i tenisačice, brutalni roditelji koji ne prežu niti od batina, gotovo pa telenovela „i bogati plaču“. Kada se pogleda taj rakurs ispada da su svi ekscentrični ispadi svjetskih tenisača imali svoj uzrok u zlostavljanju dok su bili mali.

Teško da će biti toliko kontroverznih tenisača koji će ga dostići u svojim ispadima, mnogi tvrde da je Nick Kyrgios „mala beba“ za sve ono što je do sada napravio. Istina, mogao je biti i svjetska klasa, prema talentu, biti desetljeće u samom vrhu. No životni put Bernarda Tomića je očito drugačije zacrtan.

Postao je poznat po svojim ispadima, a ne igri. Tijekom čitave karijere, koja je po mišljenjima stručnjaka uništena zbog mentalnog sklopa ovog Australca hrvatskog porijekla, događali su se razni skandali. Bernardu su roditelji rođeni u Tuzli, ali su u potrazi za boljim životom otišli u Stuttgart gdje je ovaj tenisač rođen. Nekoliko godina kasnije cijela obitelj se preselila u Australiju gdje je Bernard dobio i državljanstvo. Njegov otac Ivica je u međuvremenu postao poznati trener, dok se majka Adisa odlučila baviti menadžerskim poslom.

Jedna izjava zapravo opisuje sve što se događalo u životu mladog Bernarda.  Na novinarsko pitanje „može li ovaj neuspjeh biti prekretnica u karijeri“ u svom je stilu mladi Tomić izjavio:

- Odoh kući brojati svoj novac, to je sve što ću raditi. Brojati milijune. Uradite i vi to što ja radim, zaradite 13 - 14 milijuna dolara. Sretno vam bilo.

To dovoljno govori, zar ne?

Osim ove izjave javnost će ga dobro pamtiti po skandalu iz noćnog kluba. Njegova tadašnja djevojka je zbog pretjeranog konzumiranja droge kolabirala i završila u hitnoj pomoći. Tomić je bio u noćnom provodu s prijateljima, a ti isti momci optuženi su da su djevojci po imenu Page McCarthy ubacili psihoaktivni medikament na Zapadu poznat kao ‘droga za silovanje‘, nakon čega je završila u bolnici.

Ivica, sada već John, Tomić, otac tenisača prethodnih godina je dobio mnogo negativne pozornosti.

Nakon što je udario sparing partnera svog sina, u javnost je procurila priča da Tomić maltretira i Bernarda. John je priveden u Madridu zbog nasilja, a svjedoci tog događaja su bili Srbin Janko Tipsarević i Ukrajinac Aleksandar Dolgopolov.

Djeluje da Tomiću ovi skandali baš nekako odgovaraju, pa koristi svaku priliku da bude u centru pozornosti. Ostaje žal samo zbog činjenice što su mnogobrojni stručnjaci predviđali blistavu karijeru Australcu koja je skandalima uništena.

Gotovo da ovo postaje nekakav klišej, daroviti tenisači i tenisačice, brutalni roditelji koji ne prežu niti od batina, gotovo pa telenovela „i bogati plaču“. Kada se pogleda taj rakurs ispada da su svi ekscentrični ispadi svjetskih tenisača imali svoj uzrok u zlostavljanju dok su bili mali.

Teško da će biti toliko kontroverznih tenisača koji će ga dostići u svojim ispadima, mnogi tvrde da je Nick Kyrgios „mala beba“ za sve ono što je do sada napravio. Istina, mogao je biti i svjetska klasa, prema talentu, biti desetljeće u samom vrhu. No životni put Bernarda Tomića je očito drugačije zacrtan.

Postao je poznat po svojim ispadima, a ne igri. Tijekom čitave karijere, koja je po mišljenjima stručnjaka uništena zbog mentalnog sklopa ovog Australca hrvatskog porijekla, događali su se razni skandali. Bernardu su roditelji rođeni u Tuzli, ali su u potrazi za boljim životom otišli u Stuttgart gdje je ovaj tenisač rođen. Nekoliko godina kasnije cijela obitelj se preselila u Australiju gdje je Bernard dobio i državljanstvo. Njegov otac Ivica je u međuvremenu postao poznati trener, dok se majka Adisa odlučila baviti menadžerskim poslom.

Jedna izjava zapravo opisuje sve što se događalo u životu mladog Bernarda.  Na novinarsko pitanje „može li ovaj neuspjeh biti prekretnica u karijeri“ u svom je stilu mladi Tomić izjavio:

- Odoh kući brojati svoj novac, to je sve što ću raditi. Brojati milijune. Uradite i vi to što ja radim, zaradite 13 - 14 milijuna dolara. Sretno vam bilo.

To dovoljno govori, zar ne?

Osim ove izjave javnost će ga dobro pamtiti po skandalu iz noćnog kluba. Njegova tadašnja djevojka je zbog pretjeranog konzumiranja droge kolabirala i završila u hitnoj pomoći. Nakon što je udario sparing partnera svog sina, u javnost je procurila priča da Tomić maltretira i Bernarda. John je priveden u Madridu zbog nasilja, a svjedoci tog događaja su bili Srbin Janko Tipsarević i Ukrajinac Aleksandar Dolgopolov.

Otac ga brutalno tukao pred očima drugih tenisača: čudo od djeteta kojem su dolari udarili u glavu i skratili karijeru

Gotovo da ovo postaje nekakav klišej, daroviti tenisači i tenisačice, brutalni roditelji koji ne prežu niti od batina, gotovo pa telenovela „i bogati plaču“. Kada se pogleda taj rakurs ispada da su svi ekscentrični ispadi svjetskih tenisača imali svoj uzrok u zlostavljanju dok su bili mali.

Teško da će biti toliko kontroverznih tenisača koji će ga dostići u svojim ispadima, mnogi tvrde da je Nick Kyrgios „mala beba“ za sve ono što je do sada napravio. Istina, mogao je biti i svjetska klasa, prema talentu, biti desetljeće u samom vrhu. No životni put Bernarda Tomića je očito drugačije zacrtan.

Postao je poznat po svojim ispadima, a ne igri. Tijekom čitave karijere, koja je po mišljenjima stručnjaka uništena zbog mentalnog sklopa ovog Australca hrvatskog porijekla, događali su se razni skandali. Bernardu su roditelji rođeni u Tuzli, ali su u potrazi za boljim životom otišli u Stuttgart gdje je ovaj tenisač rođen. Nekoliko godina kasnije cijela obitelj se preselila u Australiju gdje je Bernard dobio i državljanstvo. Njegov otac Ivica je u međuvremenu postao poznati trener, dok se majka Adisa odlučila baviti menadžerskim poslom.

Jedna izjava zapravo opisuje sve što se događalo u životu mladog Bernarda.  Na novinarsko pitanje „može li ovaj neuspjeh biti prekretnica u karijeri“ u svom je stilu mladi Tomić izjavio:

- Odoh kući brojati svoj novac, to je sve što ću raditi. Brojati milijune. Uradite i vi to što ja radim, zaradite 13 - 14 milijuna dolara. Sretno vam bilo.

To dovoljno govori, zar ne?

Osim ove izjave javnost će ga dobro pamtiti po skandalu iz noćnog kluba. Njegova tadašnja djevojka je zbog pretjeranog konzumiranja droge kolabirala i završila u hitnoj pomoći.
