U Hrvatskoj se često, nakon katastrofalnih požara, može čuti kako je u davna vremena bilo manje požara jer je bilo puno koza koje su čistile sve pred sobom, a sada zbog zapuštenosti mnogih parcela požari se šire velikom brzinom.

I svi spominju kako opet treba nabaviti veći broj koza, kako bi se olakšala borba protiv požara. Ali već nekoliko tjedana nakon požara, nitko se više ne sjeća te dobre ideje.

Zato je na donjem dijelu zemaljske kugle sasvim drukčija priča: poljoprivrednici su osigurali krdo koza kako bi zaštitili mjesto Clandulla u državi Novi Južni Wales od mogućih požara, objavio je 9News, pozivajući se na lokalnu vatrogasnu službu.

U selu smještenom 225 kilometara sjeverozapadno od Sydneya, naime, utvrđena je velika opasnost od požara zbog suhih trava i biljaka.

Plan je da, prije australskih ljetnih mjeseci, u kojima se često događaju razorni požari, koze pobrste sve na što naiđu. Životinje će pasti u regiji dva mjeseca. Očekuje se kako će koze samo u sljedeća tri tjedna pojesti dva hektara trave, čime će se stvoriti tampon zona ispred sela s 200 stanovnika.

Ako dođe do požara, širit će se mnogo sporije, rekao je Troy Gersbeck iz regionalne vatrogasne postrojbe.

Poznat je slučaj iz Kalifornije iz 2019. godine: gladno stado od 500 koza pomoglo je spasiti biblioteku nedaleko od Los Angelesa.

Biblioteka je unajmila koze kako bi iz opreza raščistile zapaljivo grmlje oko kompleksa. Koze su jele grmlje, stvorivši prolaz koji je usporio širenje požara i omogućilo vatrogascima više vremena za gašenje.

Koze su pomogle spasiti izložbene predmete, kao što su predsjednički avion „Air Force One“ i dio Berlinskog zida.

- Vatrogasac je istakao kako im je prolaz koji su raščistile koze olakšao posao - ispričala je tada glasnogovornica biblioteke Melissa Giller.

Hoće li ovaj primjer potaknuti još neke države da poduzmu nešto slično kako bi spriječili požare, preostaje da vidimo. 

Uz koze su i ovce u preventivi požara nezamjenjive. Pasući na pašnjacima čiste trave uz puteve i na neobrađenim površinama.

Logika je, dakle, jednostavna: kada bismo imali više ovaca i koza, bilo bi manje požara.

U Hrvatskoj se često, nakon katastrofalnih požara, može čuti kako je u davna vremena bilo manje požara jer je bilo puno koza koje su čistile sve pred sobom, a sada zbog zapuštenosti mnogih parcela požari se šire velikom brzinom.

I svi spominju kako opet treba nabaviti veći broj koza, kako bi se olakšala borba protiv požara. Ali već nekoliko tjedana nakon požara, nitko se više ne sjeća te dobre ideje.

Zato je na donjem dijelu zemaljske kugle sasvim drukčija priča: poljoprivrednici su osigurali krdo koza kako bi zaštitili mjesto Clandulla u državi Novi Južni Wales od mogućih požara, objavio je 9News, pozivajući se na lokalnu vatrogasnu službu.

U selu smještenom 225 kilometara sjeverozapadno od Sydneya, naime, utvrđena je velika opasnost od požara zbog suhih trava i biljaka.

Plan je da, prije australskih ljetnih mjeseci, u kojima se često događaju razorni požari, koze pobrste sve na što naiđu. Životinje će pasti u regiji dva mjeseca. Očekuje se kako će koze samo u sljedeća tri tjedna pojesti dva hektara trave, čime će se stvoriti tampon zona ispred sela s 200 stanovnika.

Ako dođe do požara, širit će se mnogo sporije, rekao je Troy Gersbeck iz regionalne vatrogasne postrojbe.

Poznat je slučaj iz Kalifornije iz 2019. godine: gladno stado od 500 koza pomoglo je spasiti biblioteku nedaleko od Los Angelesa.

Biblioteka je unajmila koze kako bi iz opreza raščistile zapaljivo grmlje oko kompleksa. Koze su jele grmlje, stvorivši prolaz koji je usporio širenje požara i omogućilo vatrogascima više vremena za gašenje.

Koze su pomogle spasiti izložbene predmete, kao što su predsjednički avion „Air Force One“ i dio Berlinskog zida.

- Vatrogasac je istakao kako im je prolaz koji su raščistile koze olakšao posao - ispričala je tada glasnogovornica biblioteke Melissa Giller.

Hoće li ovaj primjer potaknuti još neke države da poduzmu nešto slično kako bi spriječili požare, preostaje da vidimo. 

Uz koze su i ovce u preventivi požara nezamjenjive. Pasući na pašnjacima čiste trave uz puteve i na neobrađenim površinama.

Logika je, dakle, jednostavna: kada bismo imali više ovaca i koza, bilo bi manje požara.

U Hrvatskoj se često, nakon katastrofalnih požara, može čuti kako je u davna vremena bilo manje požara jer je bilo puno koza koje su čistile sve pred sobom, a sada zbog zapuštenosti mnogih parcela požari se šire velikom brzinom.

I svi spominju kako opet treba nabaviti veći broj koza, kako bi se olakšala borba protiv požara. Ali već nekoliko tjedana nakon požara, nitko se više ne sjeća te dobre ideje.

Zato je na donjem dijelu zemaljske kugle sasvim drukčija priča: poljoprivrednici su osigurali krdo koza kako bi zaštitili mjesto Clandulla u državi Novi Južni Wales od mogućih požara, objavio je 9News, pozivajući se na lokalnu vatrogasnu službu.
