Pritom, neće se automatski početi naplaćivati korištenje platforme onima čiji podaci su korišteni izvan domova.

Mogu li korisnici na jednom računu zadržati svoje profile?

Da. Korisnicima će biti ponuđena značajka prebacivanja profila koja će im omogućiti za zadrže povijest gledanja, preporuke i ostale personalizirane značajke ako se korisnici odluče otvoriti vlastiti račun. Logiranje izvan doma moglo bi rezultirati blokiranim pristupom na uređaju, čime se također sprječava logiranje na nove uređaje pri putujetovanju. Ipak, Netflix je i za ovo osmislio rješenje. Korisnici koji žele streamati Netflix dok putuju na uređajima u hotelu ili poslovnom laptopu mogu zatražiti privremeni kod od Netflixa prilikom prijave. Time će dobiti pristup svom računu na sedam dana.

Kako možete spriječiti da vam Netflix blokira uređaje?

Ako se ulogirate u Netflix s vlastitog uređaja putem WiFi mreže na primarnoj lokaciji barem jednom u 31 dan, ti uređaji bit će definirani kao “pouzdani uređaji” koje će Netflix zapamtiti i neće s njih blokirati pristup. Ukoliko je pak vaš uređaj blokiran greškom, morate kontaktirati korisničku službu kako biste ga odblokirali.

Kako će Netflix znati da niste na svojoj primarnoj lokaciji?

Netflix koristi podatke kao što su IP adresa, ID uređaja i aktivnost na računu kako bi zaključio je li uređaj s kojeg se pristupa računu spojen na primarnoj lokaciji. Međutim, ukoliko se desi da ove mjere ne ispune očekivanja Netflixa za sprječavanje dijeljenja lozinki, mogle bi uslijediti i one strože, kao naplaćivanje korisnicima koji nastavljaju dijeliti svoje pristupne podatke.

Netflix je prošle godine u nekim latinoameričkim zemljama počeo testirati metode naplaćivanja korisnicima tri dolara kada bi netko izvan njihovog doma pristupio njihovom računu.

Tijekom rasprava o Netflixovim planovima za sprječavanje dijeljenja lozinki, bivši izvršni direktor ove tvrtke Greg Peters je izjavio da kompanija traži “promišljene eksperimente kako bi korisnici mogli dati povratnu informaciju o tome koje rješenje im odgovara.”
