CERT upozorava na novi oblik prijevare usmjeren prema tvrtkama i vlasnicima internetskih domena, poznat kao "Domain Name Scam". Ova prijevara, koja je do sada često bila izvedena na engleskom jeziku, sada se pojavljuje i na hrvatskom, što povećava opasnost od njenog uspjeha.

U ovom prijevari, napadači se predstavljaju kao registar domena te kontaktiraju vlasnike postojećih domena. U uvjerljivom tonu, obavještavaju ih o navodnom zahtjevu za registraciju domene slične njihovoj. Na primjer, ako ste vlasnik domene "moja-stranica.hr", reći će vam da je zaprimljen zahtjev za registraciju domene "moja-stranica.com", prenosi N1. 

Koristeći taktiku straha, naglašavaju potencijalno negativne posljedice po vaše poslovanje i nude vam "priliku" da zakupite navedenu domenu prije drugih. Za registraciju navodno nude posebnu cijenu, ali ističu rok od 72 sata za odluku kako bi izvršili pritisak na žrtvu.Za registraciju domene na 10 godina traže jednokratno plaćanje u iznosu od 297,50 €.

U stvarnosti, ovo je pokušaj prijevare kako bi se iskoristila nepažnja i strah vlasnika domena. Traže jednokratno plaćanje u visokom iznosu, a cilj im je prisiliti žrtvu na brzu i nepremišljenu odluku.

CERT naglašava važnost neulaska u komunikaciju s pošiljateljima ovakvih poruka te upozorava da se ne uplaćuje novac. Također, preporučuje se informiranje drugih kako bi se spriječilo nasjedanje na ovaj oblik prijevare.

Kako bi građanima olakšao prepoznavanje ovog oblika prijevare, CERT je na svojim stranicama objavio tekst poruke s indikatorima koji pomažu u prepoznavanju ovakvih pokušaja prijevare. Ovim se nastoji osvijestiti javnost o opasnostima na internetu te potaknuti na oprezno ponašanje i razmatranje prije donošenja bilo kakvih financijskih odluka na temelju neprovjerenih poruka.

CERT upozorava na novi oblik prijevare usmjeren prema tvrtkama i vlasnicima internetskih domena, poznat kao "Domain Name Scam". Ova prijevara, koja je do sada često bila izvedena na engleskom jeziku, sada se pojavljuje i na hrvatskom, što povećava opasnost od njenog uspjeha.

U ovom prijevari, napadači se predstavljaju kao registar domena te kontaktiraju vlasnike postojećih domena. U uvjerljivom tonu, obavještavaju ih o navodnom zahtjevu za registraciju domene slične njihovoj. U stvarnosti, ovo je pokušaj prijevare kako bi se iskoristila nepažnja i strah vlasnika domena. Traže jednokratno plaćanje u visokom iznosu, a cilj im je prisiliti žrtvu na brzu i nepremišljenu odluku.

CERT naglašava važnost neulaska u komunikaciju s pošiljateljima ovakvih poruka te upozorava da se ne uplaćuje novac. Također, preporučuje se informiranje drugih kako bi se spriječilo nasjedanje na ovaj oblik prijevare.

Kako bi građanima olakšao prepoznavanje ovog oblika prijevare, CERT je na svojim stranicama objavio tekst poruke s indikatorima koji pomažu u prepoznavanju ovakvih pokušaja prijevare. Ovim se nastoji osvijestiti javnost o opasnostima na internetu te potaknuti na oprezno ponašanje i razmatranje prije donošenja bilo kakvih financijskih odluka na temelju neprovjerenih poruka.

CERT upozorava na novi oblik prijevare usmjeren prema tvrtkama i vlasnicima internetskih domena, poznat kao "Domain Name Scam". Ova prijevara, koja je do sada često bila izvedena na engleskom jeziku, sada se pojavljuje i na hrvatskom, što povećava opasnost od njenog uspjeha.

U ovom prijevari, napadači se predstavljaju kao registar domena te kontaktiraju vlasnike postojećih domena. U uvjerljivom tonu, obavještavaju ih o navodnom zahtjevu za registraciju domene slične njihovoj.
