Ministarstvo regionalnoga razvoja i fondova Europske unije u svibnju prošle godine objavilo je Odluku o odabiru projekata Programa razvoja otoka u 2022. godini. Tom je prilikom Gradu Korčuli odobreno 43 tisuće eura za projekt "Marmontov put-rekonstrukcija".

Obnova čuvenog Marmontovog puta od Žrnova do Pupnata projekt je starijeg datuma za kojeg su već bile spremne sve dozvole. Ukupna vrijednost projekta je 103 tisuće eura, MRRFEU odobrilo je 43 tisuće, a ostatak će osigurati Grad Korčula. Obnova Marmontovog puta nije kapitalni projekt, ali je od velike važnosti za Žrnovce, Pupnaćane kao i sve stanovnike Grada Korčule, ali i goste i turiste. Inzistiranjem na realizaciji ovog projekta, gradonačelnica Korčule Nika Silić Maroević još je jednom pokazala svoj stil vođenja Grada, projekti po mjeri malog čovjeka jednako su važni kao i oni kapitalni, a provedbi se treba pristupiti mudro i s dugoročnim ciljevima, a ne populistički.

„Jako nas raduje što se ovaj projekt napokon bliži kraju, Marmontov put je važan za turizam, ali i za poljoprivredu. Baš zato ga nismo htjeli obnoviti samo za jednu skupinu ljudi, puno me ljudi pita hoće li se moći voziti automobilima. Hoće, put će služiti svim građanima, lokalnim poljoprivrednicima, biciklistima i šetačima. Projekt je star, ali su vremena nova, treba se prilagoditi. Marmontov put obnovit ćemo na ekološki i estetski prihvatljiv način s naglaskom na zaštitu prirode. Cijela trasa će biti tamponirana i nabijena, a uzbrdice i nizbrdice će se asfaltirati bijelim asfaltom. Osim što je ugodniji i estetski prihvatljiviji u prirodi, bolje upija vodu pa će biti i manje erozije nakon kiše“, objasnila je gradonačelnica.

Bijeli je asfalt presedan za Grad Korčulu, ali Nika Silić Maroević naglašava kako je Marmontov put samo početak.

„Nije poanta mahnito ad hoc asfaltirati prije izbora što više puteva. Poanta je raditi projekte, gledamo Grad kao cjelinu pa pripremamo slične projekte za put Kneže-Račišće, još jedan u Žrnovu i jedan u Čari. Poanta je također što više novaca povući iz europskih fondova, odnosno koristiti što manje vlastitih sredstava. Poanta je da ovaj put bude funkcionalan svima, ali i da se uklopi. Ne treba nešto jedinstveno u prirodi pretvarati u klasičnu prometnicu, poanta je sačuvati sve što vrijedi od daljnjeg propadanja, a da je održavanje što lakše i jeftinije. Bijelim asfaltom ćemo prekriti samo uzbrdice i nizbrdice, ako bude potrebno, asfaltirat ćemo i još poneki dio, ali ponekad je manje više“, komentirala je gradonačelnica.

Obnovljeni Marmontov put bit će pet kilometara duga, ugodna biciklistička staza i šetnica, a lokalno će stanovništvo napokon do svojih maslinika i vinograda moći i s automobilima. Uključivat će nekoliko uređenih odmarališta te pokazne, interpretacijske ploče. Sve što je dio Marmontovog puta sačuvat će se i po potrebi obnoviti poput stare kapelice Gospe Lurdske taman na pola puta između Žrnova i Pupnata te starog suhozida na ulazu u Pupnat koji je srušen prilikom širenja ceste do Kneža. Kako ističe gradonačelnica, stari suhozid je snimljen i bit će saniran u sklopu projekta. Iako je rok za završetak radova 30. lipnja, gradonačelnica je najavila da će put biti gotov do kraja veljače, a onda će organizirati i svečano otvaranje.

Ministarstvo regionalnoga razvoja i fondova Europske unije u svibnju prošle godine objavilo je Odluku o odabiru projekata Programa razvoja otoka u 2022. godini. Tom je prilikom Gradu Korčuli odobreno 43 tisuće eura za projekt "Marmontov put-rekonstrukcija".

Obnova čuvenog Marmontovog puta od Žrnova do Pupnata projekt je starijeg datuma za kojeg su već bile spremne sve dozvole. Ukupna vrijednost projekta je 103 tisuće eura, MRRFEU odobrilo je 43 tisuće, a ostatak će osigurati Grad Korčula. Obnova Marmontovog puta nije kapitalni projekt, ali je od velike važnosti za Žrnovce, Pupnaćane kao i sve stanovnike Grada Korčule, ali i goste i turiste. Inzistiranjem na realizaciji ovog projekta, gradonačelnica Korčule Nika Silić Maroević još je jednom pokazala svoj stil vođenja Grada, projekti po mjeri malog čovjeka jednako su važni kao i oni kapitalni, a provedbi se treba pristupiti mudro i s dugoročnim ciljevima, a ne populistički.

„Jako nas raduje što se ovaj projekt napokon bliži kraju, Marmontov put je važan za turizam, ali i za poljoprivredu. Baš zato ga nismo htjeli obnoviti samo za jednu skupinu ljudi, puno me ljudi pita hoće li se moći voziti automobilima. Hoće, put će služiti svim građanima, lokalnim poljoprivrednicima, biciklistima i šetačima. Projekt je star, ali su vremena nova, treba se prilagoditi. Marmontov put obnovit ćemo na ekološki i estetski prihvatljiv način s naglaskom na zaštitu prirode. Cijela trasa će biti tamponirana i nabijena, a uzbrdice i nizbrdice će se asfaltirati bijelim asfaltom. Osim što je ugodniji i estetski prihvatljiviji u prirodi, bolje upija vodu pa će biti i manje erozije nakon kiše“, objasnila je gradonačelnica.

Bijeli je asfalt presedan za Grad Korčulu, ali Nika Silić Maroević naglašava kako je Marmontov put samo početak.

„Nije poanta mahnito ad hoc asfaltirati prije izbora što više puteva. Poanta je raditi projekte, gledamo Grad kao cjelinu pa pripremamo slične projekte za put Kneže-Račišće, još jedan u Žrnovu i jedan u Čari. Poanta je također što više novaca povući iz europskih fondova, odnosno koristiti što manje vlastitih sredstava. Poanta je da ovaj put bude funkcionalan svima, ali i da se uklopi. Ne treba nešto jedinstveno u prirodi pretvarati u klasičnu prometnicu, poanta je sačuvati sve što vrijedi od daljnjeg propadanja, a da je održavanje što lakše i jeftinije. Bijelim asfaltom ćemo prekriti samo uzbrdice i nizbrdice, ako bude potrebno, asfaltirat ćemo i još poneki dio, ali ponekad je manje više“, komentirala je gradonačelnica.

Obnovljeni Marmontov put bit će pet kilometara duga, ugodna biciklistička staza i šetnica, a lokalno će stanovništvo napokon do svojih maslinika i vinograda moći i s automobilima. Uključivat će nekoliko uređenih odmarališta te pokazne, interpretacijske ploče. Sve što je dio Marmontovog puta sačuvat će se i po potrebi obnoviti poput stare kapelice Gospe Lurdske taman na pola puta između Žrnova i Pupnata te starog suhozida na ulazu u Pupnat koji je srušen prilikom širenja ceste do Kneža. Kako ističe gradonačelnica, stari suhozid je snimljen i bit će saniran u sklopu projekta. Iako je rok za završetak radova 30. lipnja, gradonačelnica je najavila da će put biti gotov do kraja veljače, a onda će organizirati i svečano otvaranje.
