Dominikanac dr. Stipe Jurič, nekadašnji dekan Teološkog fakulteta Sveučilišta sv. Tome Akvinskoga (Angelicum) u Rimu, sada umirovljeni profesor koji od prošle godine živi i djeluje u Dubrovniku iznimno cijeni rad pokojnog pape Benedikta XVI. Nije se kaže nam osobno poznavao s pokojnim papom Benediktom XVI., no o njemu kao znanstveniku i papi ima najbolje mišljenje.

- Njegove su se riječi, njegovo pisanje i konferencije pratile s užitkom pa čak su ga kao znanstvenika cijenili i agnostici. Bio je veliki znanstvenik, osobito za teologiju sv. Augustina. Tu je bio maestro. Pratio je sve i davao savjete sve do zadnjih dana, uvijek je bio oslonac sigurnosti za crkvu što se tiče nauka vjere, kamen na kojem je počivala – govori dr Jurič, dominikanac, koji je 33 godine bio profesor biblijskih znanosti na Papinskom sveučilištu.
– Papu Benedikta XVI. poznavao sam više iz njegovih djela, prije nego je postao papa. Prva djela koja sam čitao na teologiji bila su njegova, a kasnije sam pratio zbivanja i kongrese na kojima se on uvijek isticao kao teolog. Bio je poznat i cijenjen u svijetu, veliko ime u teologiji. Pratio sam njegova djela i prije nego je postao kardinal pa i biskup u Bavarskoj. Kao papa je dolazio u posjet sveučilištima, no nije više sudjelovao u kongresima kao dok je bio kardinal. Svaki njegov nastup i predavanje pratili su se s pozornošću. Po mom mišljenju, zaista je bio veliki teolog i svakako među najjačima koje smo imali u 20. stoljeću – govori prof emeritus Jurič.

Ne mogu se govori nam, uspoređivati pontifikati pokojnog pape i drugih jer svaki biskup i papa ima svoj stil i pristup.
- Nije između pontifikata Ivana Pavla II. i njegova bilo velikih razlika, no nekako je pontifikat Benedikta XVI. ostao u sjeni pontifikata Ivana Pavla II. jer ipak je bio s njime dvadesetak godina kao tajnik kongregacije za nauk vjere. Reklo bi se da je bio ‘broj tri‘ u Crkvi za vrijeme pape Ivana Pavla II. – dodaje dr. Jurič. Dodaje kako je bilo posebno već samo to da je papa postao kardinal iz Njemačke, što je za neke krugove bio šok.

Dominikanac dr. Stipe Jurič, nekadašnji dekan Teološkog fakulteta Sveučilišta sv. Tome Akvinskoga (Angelicum) u Rimu, sada umirovljeni profesor koji od prošle godine živi i djeluje u Dubrovniku iznimno cijeni rad pokojnog pape Benedikta XVI. Nije se kaže nam osobno poznavao s pokojnim papom Benediktom XVI., no o njemu kao znanstveniku i papi ima najbolje mišljenje.

- Njegove su se riječi, njegovo pisanje i konferencije pratile s užitkom pa čak su ga kao znanstvenika cijenili i agnostici. Bio je veliki znanstvenik, osobito za teologiju sv. Augustina. Tu je bio maestro. Pratio je sve i davao savjete sve do zadnjih dana, uvijek je bio oslonac sigurnosti za crkvu što se tiče nauka vjere, kamen na kojem je počivala – govori dr Jurič, dominikanac, koji je 33 godine bio profesor biblijskih znanosti na Papinskom sveučilištu.
– Papu Benedikta XVI. poznavao sam više iz njegovih djela, prije nego je postao papa. Prva djela koja sam čitao na teologiji bila su njegova, a kasnije sam pratio zbivanja i kongrese na kojima se on uvijek isticao kao teolog. Bio je poznat i cijenjen u svijetu, veliko ime u teologiji. Pratio sam njegova djela i prije nego je postao kardinal pa i biskup u Bavarskoj. Kao papa je dolazio u posjet sveučilištima, no nije više sudjelovao u kongresima kao dok je bio kardinal. Svaki njegov nastup i predavanje pratili su se s pozornošću. Po mom mišljenju, zaista je bio veliki teolog i svakako među najjačima koje smo imali u 20. stoljeću – govori prof emeritus Jurič.

Ne mogu se govori nam, uspoređivati pontifikati pokojnog pape i drugih jer svaki biskup i papa ima svoj stil i pristup.
- Nije između pontifikata Ivana Pavla II. i njegova bilo velikih razlika, no nekako je pontifikat Benedikta XVI. ostao u sjeni pontifikata Ivana Pavla II. jer ipak je bio s njime dvadesetak godina kao tajnik kongregacije za nauk vjere. Reklo bi se da je bio ‘broj tri‘ u Crkvi za vrijeme pape Ivana Pavla II. – dodaje dr. Jurič. Dodaje kako je bilo posebno već samo to da je papa postao kardinal iz Njemačke, što je za neke krugove bio šok.
