Projekt OKOLIŠ SJEĆANJA – umjetnost protiv represije započet je 2016. godine i u njemu je do danas sudjelovalo pedesetak suvremenih umjetnika iz zemlje i inozemstva. Izložba će biti postavljena u Art radionici Lazareti 9. rujna u 20:00 sati te u Muzeju crvene povijesti 10. rujna u 20:00 sati.
Kontroverzna povijest Golog otoka i Svetog Grgura počela je kada je Jugoslavija 1948. godine izbačena iz lnformbiroa i kada je prekinula sve veze s SSSR-om. Otoci su se počeli koristiti kao koncentracijski logori za osobe optužene kao simpatizere ili špijune istočnoga bloka. Nakon zatvaranja 1956. godine logor je postao zatvorom za maloljetne delikvente, kriminalce i političke zatvorenike. Danas je u ruševnom stanju i potpuno prepušten zaboravu.
Umjetničke aktivnosti na Golom otoku i Svetom Grguru dotiču se te složene i traumatične teme na društveno relevantan ali ne ispolitiziran način, s fokusom na kulturnu kritiku i umjetnički izraz kroz video, fotografije, instalacije i performanse.
Izložba šalje poruku da je najbolje dostojanstveno i kroz umjetničko izražavanje pamtiti sve žrtve i tako progovoriti o represiji koja je kažnjenicima bila svakodnevnica. Ova manifestacija ima namjeru sugerirati buduće definiranje sadržaja zaštićenog područja Goli otok i razradu postava mogućeg memorijalnog centra na Golom otoku u dijelu koji će se odnositi na suvremenu umjetnost.
Izložba se sastoji od radova umjetnika koji su nakon posjete logoru na Golom otoku u periodu od 2016. do 2020., kao reakciju na viđeno izveli svoj umjetnički rad.
Umjetnici su svojim radovima, performansima i instalacijama in situ poslali poruku da mjesta na kojima su počinjeni zloćini trebaju postati mjesta sjećanja, učenja i pamćenja.

Projekt OKOLIŠ SJEĆANJA – umjetnost protiv represije započet je 2016. godine i u njemu je do danas sudjelovalo pedesetak suvremenih umjetnika iz zemlje i inozemstva. Izložba će biti postavljena u Art radionici Lazareti 9. rujna u 20:00 sati te u Muzeju crvene povijesti 10. rujna u 20:00 sati.
Kontroverzna povijest Golog otoka i Svetog Grgura počela je kada je Jugoslavija 1948. godine izbačena iz lnformbiroa i kada je prekinula sve veze s SSSR-om. Otoci su se počeli koristiti kao koncentracijski logori za osobe optužene kao simpatizere ili špijune istočnoga bloka. Nakon zatvaranja 1956. godine logor je postao zatvorom za maloljetne delikvente, kriminalce i političke zatvorenike. Danas je u ruševnom stanju i potpuno prepušten zaboravu.
Umjetničke aktivnosti na Golom otoku i Svetom Grguru dotiču se te složene i traumatične teme na društveno relevantan ali ne ispolitiziran način, s fokusom na kulturnu kritiku i umjetnički izraz kroz video, fotografije, instalacije i performanse.
Izložba šalje poruku da je najbolje dostojanstveno i kroz umjetničko izražavanje pamtiti sve žrtve i tako progovoriti o represiji koja je kažnjenicima bila svakodnevnica. Ova manifestacija ima namjeru sugerirati buduće definiranje sadržaja zaštićenog područja Goli otok i razradu postava mogućeg memorijalnog centra na Golom otoku u dijelu koji će se odnositi na suvremenu umjetnost.
Izložba se sastoji od radova umjetnika koji su nakon posjete logoru na Golom otoku u periodu od 2016. do 2020., kao reakciju na viđeno izveli svoj umjetnički rad.
Umjetnici su svojim radovima, performansima i instalacijama in situ poslali poruku da mjesta na kojima su počinjeni zloćini trebaju postati mjesta sjećanja, učenja i pamćenja.
