Rusija na sjeveroistoku Ukrajine rabi nekonvencionalne protupješačke mine na koje ne treba ugaziti da vas ubiju: dizajnirane su da otkriju korake koji se približavaju, a zatim unište sve živo u krugu od 16 metara, svjedoče zadnja izvješća skupina za ljudska prava, prenosi Slobodna.

Novorazvijene nagazne mine POM-3, zabranjene međunarodnim sporazumima, otkrili su ovoga tjedna u Harkivu ukrajinski tehničari za razminiranje. Poznate i kao mine "Medaljon", naprave su kreirane za ispaljivanje na neprijateljski teritorij iz raketnih bacača, gdje se potom spuste padobranom prije nego što se zakopaju ili prilijepe za zemlju.

Ove podmukle naprave opremljene su "seizmičkim detektorom" koji može izdaleka registrirati kad se netko približava i izračunati optimalno vrijeme za lansiranje odskočne bombe u zrak. Eksplozija i geleri potom neselektivno ubijaju ili ozlijeđuju bilo koga unutar radijusa eksplozije, navodi se u izvješću Human Rights Watcha. Ako nitko ne aktivira minu POM-3, ona se navodno može samouništiti nakon određenog vremena, no to bi lako moglo biti satima ili čak danima nakon ispaljenja.

Ove lukave mine su na Harkiv, čini se, lansirane raketama ispaljenim iz posebno dizajniranih zemaljskih lansera naziva Zemledelyje (Poljoprivreda). Riječ o višecjevnom raketnom bacaču koji istodobno ispaljuje rakete punjene protupješadijskim minama iz dva bloka po 50 cijevi i u krugu od 15 kilometara masovno sije ubojita minska polja.

Ovisno o terenu na koji sleti, mine tipa 'Medaljon' mogu se ukopati u zemlju kako bi ih bilo teško uočiti, a na tvrđem terenu koriste nožice s oprugom na kojima stoje uspravno dok se ne aktiviraju. Nakon što je raspoređeno i raspršeno u okoliš, ovakvo minsko polje vidljivo je ruskim snagama na elektroničkoj karti i može se daljinski deaktivirati, ako Rusi to žele ili im je potrebno.

“Zemlje diljem svijeta trebale bi snažno osuditi rusku upotrebu zabranjenih protupješačkih mina u Ukrajini”, rekao je Steve Goose, direktor odjela za naoružanje Human Rights Watcha. Ovo oružje, po njemu, ne pravi nikakvu razliku između boraca i civila, te ostavlja smrtonosno nasljeđe u godinama koje dolaze. "Ruska upotreba protupješačkih mina u Ukrajini namjerno krši međunarodne norme koje zabranjuju korištenje ovoga užasnog oružja", rekao je Goose.

Proizvodnja, skladištenje i prijenos protupješačkih mina zabranjeni su međunarodnim ugovorom o zabrani mina iz 1997., ali Rusija nije među 164 zemlje koje su ga potpisale. Usprkos tome što Rusija nije stranka sporazuma iz 1997., činjenica je da ovo zabranjeno oružje koristi u Ukrajini, zemlji koja jest potpisnica međunarodnog ugovora još od veljače 1999.

Rusija je na Općoj skupštini UN-a 2020. rekla da "dijeli ciljeve sporazuma i podržava svijet bez mina", ali smatra da su protupješačke mine "učinkovit način osiguranja sigurnosti ruskih granica". Priznanje je uslijedilo nakon što je Human Rights Watch dokumentirao korištenje protupješačkih mina ruskog porijekla u više od 30 zemalja, uključujući Siriju, Ukrajinu i Libiju.

Rusija na sjeveroistoku Ukrajine rabi nekonvencionalne protupješačke mine na koje ne treba ugaziti da vas ubiju: dizajnirane su da otkriju korake koji se približavaju, a zatim unište sve živo u krugu od 16 metara, svjedoče zadnja izvješća skupina za ljudska prava, prenosi Slobodna.

Novorazvijene nagazne mine POM-3, zabranjene međunarodnim sporazumima, otkrili su ovoga tjedna u Harkivu ukrajinski tehničari za razminiranje. Poznate i kao mine "Medaljon", naprave su kreirane za ispaljivanje na neprijateljski teritorij iz raketnih bacača, gdje se potom spuste padobranom prije nego što se zakopaju ili prilijepe za zemlju.

Ove podmukle naprave opremljene su "seizmičkim detektorom" koji može izdaleka registrirati kad se netko približava i izračunati optimalno vrijeme za lansiranje odskočne bombe u zrak. Eksplozija i geleri potom neselektivno ubijaju ili ozlijeđuju bilo koga unutar radijusa eksplozije, navodi se u izvješću Human Rights Watcha. Ako nitko ne aktivira minu POM-3, ona se navodno može samouništiti nakon određenog vremena, no to bi lako moglo biti satima ili čak danima nakon ispaljenja.

Ove lukave mine su na Harkiv, čini se, lansirane raketama ispaljenim iz posebno dizajniranih zemaljskih lansera naziva Zemledelyje (Poljoprivreda). Riječ o višecjevnom raketnom bacaču koji istodobno ispaljuje rakete punjene protupješadijskim minama iz dva bloka po 50 cijevi i u krugu od 15 kilometara masovno sije ubojita minska polja.

Ovisno o terenu na koji sleti, mine tipa 'Medaljon' mogu se ukopati u zemlju kako bi ih bilo teško uočiti, a na tvrđem terenu koriste nožice s oprugom na kojima stoje uspravno dok se ne aktiviraju. Nakon što je raspoređeno i raspršeno u okoliš, ovakvo minsko polje vidljivo je ruskim snagama na elektroničkoj karti i može se daljinski deaktivirati, ako Rusi to žele ili im je potrebno.

“Zemlje diljem svijeta trebale bi snažno osuditi rusku upotrebu zabranjenih protupješačkih mina u Ukrajini”, rekao je Steve Goose, direktor odjela za naoružanje Human Rights Watcha. Ovo oružje, po njemu, ne pravi nikakvu razliku između boraca i civila, te ostavlja smrtonosno nasljeđe u godinama koje dolaze. "Ruska upotreba protupješačkih mina u Ukrajini namjerno krši međunarodne norme koje zabranjuju korištenje ovoga užasnog oružja", rekao je Goose.

Proizvodnja, skladištenje i prijenos protupješačkih mina zabranjeni su međunarodnim ugovorom o zabrani mina iz 1997., ali Rusija nije među 164 zemlje koje su ga potpisale. Usprkos tome što Rusija nije stranka sporazuma iz 1997., činjenica je da ovo zabranjeno oružje koristi u Ukrajini, zemlji koja jest potpisnica međunarodnog ugovora još od veljače 1999.

Rusija je na Općoj skupštini UN-a 2020. rekla da "dijeli ciljeve sporazuma i podržava svijet bez mina", ali smatra da su protupješačke mine "učinkovit način osiguranja sigurnosti ruskih granica". Priznanje je uslijedilo nakon što je Human Rights Watch dokumentirao korištenje protupješačkih mina ruskog porijekla u više od 30 zemalja, uključujući Siriju, Ukrajinu i Libiju.
