Prvo i zasad jedino proizvedeno borbeno oklopno vozilo BMPT-62 Terminator, pojavilo se na prvoj crti bojišnice i to samo nekoliko tjedana nakon što je objavljena njegova prva fotografija u ukrajinskom proizvodnom pogonu. Ono će sad pružati zaštitu 128. ukrajinskoj brigadi, elitnoj postrojbi koja se na jugu zemlje bori protiv Putinovih jedinica, piše Slobodna Dalmacija.

Ova je brigada bila na čelu ukrajinskog protunapada na jugu u listopadu prošle godine. Danas pomaže u držanju ukrajinske crte fronte u području Zaporižja, istočno od akumulacije Kahovka, koja je u srijedu ispraznila pet milijardi galona vode u zapadnu poplavnu ravnicu rijeke Dnjepar nakon što je uništena brana akumulacije.

Ukrajinski Terminator je svojevrsno Frankensteinovo čudovište, sklepano od raznih zarobljenih ruskih komponenti. BMPT-62 je ukrajinski odgovor na vrlo rijedak ruski BMPT Terminator AFV. Terminatori nisu tenkovi: njihov topovi su slabiji, a nisu ni borbena vozila pješaštva, jer nemaju putničke prostore. Njihova je glavna uloga pratnja tenkova i borbenih vozila pješaštva, davanje brze vatrene moći i debelog oklopa napadačkom timu kombiniranog naoružanja.

Dok je ruski proizvođač vozila Ural Transport Engineering Design Bureau bazirao BMPT na trupu tenka T-72 od 49 tona, ukrajinski inženjeri, plaćeni od dobrotvorne zaklade Serhij Prytula u Kijevu, izgradili su vlastiti Terminator na trupu bivšeg ruskog tenka T-62, teškog 41 tonu.

Ukrajinski BMPT-62 tako kombinira trup tenka T-62, s njegovim dizelskim motorom od 580 konjskih snaga i 100 milimetara oklopa te 30-milimetarski automatski top i kupolu sovjetskog borbenog vozila BMP-2. Alžirska vojska koristi sličan BMPT na bazi tenka T-62. Ukrajinski inženjeri dodali su mu blokove reaktivnog oklopa Kontakt-1, koji eksplodiraju pri udaru i mogu dodati ekvivalent stotinama milimetara čelika na postojećih 100 milimetara čelika koliko osnovni T-62 nosi na prednjem dijelu svog trupa.

BMPT-62 nije samo hibridno borbeno sredstvo i način da ukrajinske snage dobro iskoriste zarobljene T-62 i višak kupola BMP-2. Novonastali ratni stroj zapravo odgovara posebnoj niši. Sa svojih 16 tona težine bio je na glasu kao prilično lagan i tanko zaštićen. No ono što mu nedostaje u zaštiti, nadoknađuje volumenom. BMP-2 ima tročlanu posadu i prostor za ukrcaj gotovo cijelog voda pješaka. Kreiran je s idejom da posada BMP-2 preveze svoje pješaštvo u bitku, iskrca ih i zatim podrži vatrom iz topa od 30 mm. Korištenjem tenkovskog oklopa, BMPT-62 ima jaču zaštitu, ali mu ona zato umanjuje raspoloživ prostor. On može pružiti svoju vatrenu moć pješaštvu, ali im ne može ponuditi i vožnju. To su sve razlozi zbog kojih se ova vozila sve više koriste za bliske urbane borbe zbog pojačane zaštite. BMPT-62 iz 128. brigade je izgleda prvi ukrajinski Terminator, ali možda nije i posljednji. Ukrajinske trupe zarobile su najmanje 45 ruskih T-62 i stotine BMP-2.

Kad je ruskoj vojsci prvi put ponestalo modernih tenkova u ratu protiv Ukrajine, izvukla je iz skladišta stotine starih T-62 iz šezdesetih godina i poslala ih s rezervistima na ukrajinski jug, uglavnom u okolicu Hersona. Od tehnološki zastarjelih tenkova T-62, koje su zarobili, Ukrajinci su upotrijebili njihove čelične školjke za najmanje dva nova tipa vozila. Jedno je redizajnirano kao novo oklopno vozilo za spašavanje, odnosno za izvlačenje ranjenika i vojnika s rizičnih dijelova otvorenog bojišta pod neprijateljskom vatrom.

Napušteni ruski tenk T-62

Prvo i zasad jedino proizvedeno borbeno oklopno vozilo BMPT-62 Terminator, pojavilo se na prvoj crti bojišnice i to samo nekoliko tjedana nakon što je objavljena njegova prva fotografija u ukrajinskom proizvodnom pogonu. Ono će sad pružati zaštitu 128. ukrajinskoj brigadi, elitnoj postrojbi koja se na jugu zemlje bori protiv Putinovih jedinica, piše Slobodna Dalmacija.

Ova je brigada bila na čelu ukrajinskog protunapada na jugu u listopadu prošle godine. Danas pomaže u držanju ukrajinske crte fronte u području Zaporižja, istočno od akumulacije Kahovka, koja je u srijedu ispraznila pet milijardi galona vode u zapadnu poplavnu ravnicu rijeke Dnjepar nakon što je uništena brana akumulacije.

Ukrajinski Terminator je svojevrsno Frankensteinovo čudovište, sklepano od raznih zarobljenih ruskih komponenti. BMPT-62 je ukrajinski odgovor na vrlo rijedak ruski BMPT Terminator AFV. Terminatori nisu tenkovi: njihov topovi su slabiji, a nisu ni borbena vozila pješaštva, jer nemaju putničke prostore. Njihova je glavna uloga pratnja tenkova i borbenih vozila pješaštva, davanje brze vatrene moći i debelog oklopa napadačkom timu kombiniranog naoružanja.

Dok je ruski proizvođač vozila Ural Transport Engineering Design Bureau bazirao BMPT na trupu tenka T-72 od 49 tona, ukrajinski inženjeri, plaćeni od dobrotvorne zaklade Serhij Prytula u Kijevu, izgradili su vlastiti Terminator na trupu bivšeg ruskog tenka T-62, teškog 41 tonu.

Ukrajinski BMPT-62 tako kombinira trup tenka T-62, s njegovim dizelskim motorom od 580 konjskih snaga i 100 milimetara oklopa te 30-milimetarski automatski top i kupolu sovjetskog borbenog vozila BMP-2. Alžirska vojska koristi sličan BMPT na bazi tenka T-62. Ukrajinski inženjeri dodali su mu blokove reaktivnog oklopa Kontakt-1, koji eksplodiraju pri udaru i mogu dodati ekvivalent stotinama milimetara čelika na postojećih 100 milimetara čelika koliko osnovni T-62 nosi na prednjem dijelu svog trupa.

BMPT-62 nije samo hibridno borbeno sredstvo i način da ukrajinske snage dobro iskoriste zarobljene T-62 i višak kupola BMP-2. Novonastali ratni stroj zapravo odgovara posebnoj niši. Sa svojih 16 tona težine bio je na glasu kao prilično lagan i tanko zaštićen. No ono što mu nedostaje u zaštiti, nadoknađuje volumenom. BMP-2 ima tročlanu posadu i prostor za ukrcaj gotovo cijelog voda pješaka. Kreiran je s idejom da posada BMP-2 preveze svoje pješaštvo u bitku, iskrca ih i zatim podrži vatrom iz topa od 30 mm. Korištenjem tenkovskog oklopa, BMPT-62 ima jaču zaštitu, ali mu ona zato umanjuje raspoloživ prostor. On može pružiti svoju vatrenu moć pješaštvu, ali im ne može ponuditi i vožnju. To su sve razlozi zbog kojih se ova vozila sve više koriste za bliske urbane borbe zbog pojačane zaštite. BMPT-62 iz 128. brigade je izgleda prvi ukrajinski Terminator, ali možda nije i posljednji. Ukrajinske trupe zarobile su najmanje 45 ruskih T-62 i stotine BMP-2.

Kad je ruskoj vojsci prvi put ponestalo modernih tenkova u ratu protiv Ukrajine, izvukla je iz skladišta stotine starih T-62 iz šezdesetih godina i poslala ih s rezervistima na ukrajinski jug, uglavnom u okolicu Hersona. Od tehnološki zastarjelih tenkova T-62, koje su zarobili, Ukrajinci su upotrijebili njihove čelične školjke za najmanje dva nova tipa vozila. Jedno je redizajnirano kao novo oklopno vozilo za spašavanje, odnosno za izvlačenje ranjenika i vojnika s rizičnih dijelova otvorenog bojišta pod neprijateljskom vatrom.
