Gošća emisije N1 Klimatska budućnost bila je Dunja Mazzocco Drvar, ravnateljica Uprave za klimatske aktivnosti pri MINGOR-u, a govorila je o povratku fenomena El Niño i predviđanjima za iduće ljeto.

Pojasnila je na koji način su ekstremne hladnoće povezane s ljudskim utjecajem na klimu, odnosno zašto globalno zatopljenje ne znači da neće biti hladnih prodora.

“Zatopljenje je jedan globalni trend, ali naravno da su moguća lokalna zahlađenja u takvim okolnostima. Pogotovo zato što uz klimatske promjene ide ekstremizacija vremena, odnosno pojava čestih i naglih promjena vremena”, kazala je Mazzocco Drvar.

Objašnjavajući kako su ekstremi usko vezani uz klimatske promjene, Mazzocco Drvar je dodala: “Polovi i ekvator se različito zagrijavaju i zbog toga dolazi do narušavanja ravnoteže koju smo imali.”

Na pitanje je li novi klimatski trend prava zima u ožujku ili travnju, odgovorila je:

“Klima na kojoj smo bazirali većinu računanja anomalija i odnosa jako je dugo bila klima u razdoblju između 1961. i 1990. godine. To je bilo referentno razdoblje. U odnosu na ovu sadašnju klimu, vidimo zanimljiv fenomen da se najveća razlika između te dvije klime događa oko Božića, onda do kraja godine i u prvih 14 dana siječnja. Te razlike idu između 5 i 7 stupnjeva. To objašnjava i činjenicu zašto više nemamo bijelih Božića ili bijelih prosinaca”, pojasnila je Mazzocco Drvar.

“S druge strane, ako govorimo o kraju ožujka i početku travnja, to je period kada su te dvije klime najbliskije, čak ima i trenutaka kada nova klima ide i ispod stare klime. To zapravo pokazuje da možemo sve češće očekivati da ćemo krajem godine i početkom godine imati topla odstupanja, ali da zato možemo očekivati hladne prodore u vrijeme kada nam najmanje odgovara iz niza razloga”, dodala je.

I sezonske prognoze ukazivale su na još jednu u nizu iznadprosječno toplih zima. Koje su loše strane blage zime?

“Prva i najvažnija posljedica je što nema snježnog pokrivača, a samim time niti dovoljno zaliha vode, koju bismo imali topljenjem snježnog pokrivača u toplijem dijelu godine. Druga stvar, usjevi nisu pokriveni kako bi trebali biti zimi. Tu imamo različite posljedice – neće izumrijeti štetnici koji rade probleme na usjevima, a imamo i štetnike koji neće otići na jug. To nas košta i po nekoliko milijuna kuna godišnje. Nadalje, sve će propupati ranije, a onda kada dođe bilo kakvo zahlađenje, to zna napraviti veliku štetu i onda nema dovoljno voća i povrća”, navela je Mazzocco Drvar.

Komentirala je i kako stojimo s prilagodbom u poljoprivrednom sektoru.

“Mediteran trpi 20 posto jače posljedice nego ostatak zemlje. Jednostavno postoje područja na Zemlji koja su više i manje ugrožena. Mediteran spada u te koji su jače ugroženi”, rekla je Mazzocco Drvar te dodala da im slijedi borba s dva ekstrema – duže suše i češće poplave.

Komentirala je i predviđanja znanstvenika o povratku klimatskog fenomena El Niño.

“Ovo je tek treći put da tri godine zaredom imamo La Niñu, što je suprotan efekt od El Niña, tako da je zaista vrijeme da se vratimo u drugi ekstrem – El Niño. Sljedeća godina ne pokazuje toliko jak El Niño, tek prelazimo u njega, što znači da ćemo imati vjerojatno topliju godinu od ovih dosad. Mislim da bi ona iduća, 2024. godina, mogla biti još toplija. Vrlo je izgledno da opet srušimo temperaturne rekorde, rekla je.

Gošća emisije N1 Klimatska budućnost bila je Dunja Mazzocco Drvar, ravnateljica Uprave za klimatske aktivnosti pri MINGOR-u, a govorila je o povratku fenomena El Niño i predviđanjima za iduće ljeto.

Pojasnila je na koji način su ekstremne hladnoće povezane s ljudskim utjecajem na klimu, odnosno zašto globalno zatopljenje ne znači da neće biti hladnih prodora.

“Zatopljenje je jedan globalni trend, ali naravno da su moguća lokalna zahlađenja u takvim okolnostima. Pogotovo zato što uz klimatske promjene ide ekstremizacija vremena, odnosno pojava čestih i naglih promjena vremena”, kazala je Mazzocco Drvar.

Objašnjavajući kako su ekstremi usko vezani uz klimatske promjene, Mazzocco Drvar je dodala: “Polovi i ekvator se različito zagrijavaju i zbog toga dolazi do narušavanja ravnoteže koju smo imali.”

Na pitanje je li novi klimatski trend prava zima u ožujku ili travnju, odgovorila je:

“Klima na kojoj smo bazirali većinu računanja anomalija i odnosa jako je dugo bila klima u razdoblju između 1961. i 1990. godine. To je bilo referentno razdoblje. U odnosu na ovu sadašnju klimu, vidimo zanimljiv fenomen da se najveća razlika između te dvije klime događa oko Božića, onda do kraja godine i u prvih 14 dana siječnja. Te razlike idu između 5 i 7 stupnjeva. To objašnjava i činjenicu zašto više nemamo bijelih Božića ili bijelih prosinaca”, pojasnila je Mazzocco Drvar.

“S druge strane, ako govorimo o kraju ožujka i početku travnja, to je period kada su te dvije klime najbliskije, čak ima i trenutaka kada nova klima ide i ispod stare klime. To zapravo pokazuje da možemo sve češće očekivati da ćemo krajem godine i početkom godine imati topla odstupanja, ali da zato možemo očekivati hladne prodore u vrijeme kada nam najmanje odgovara iz niza razloga”, dodala je.

I sezonske prognoze ukazivale su na još jednu u nizu iznadprosječno toplih zima. Koje su loše strane blage zime?

“Prva i najvažnija posljedica je što nema snježnog pokrivača, a samim time niti dovoljno zaliha vode, koju bismo imali topljenjem snježnog pokrivača u toplijem dijelu godine. Druga stvar, usjevi nisu pokriveni kako bi trebali biti zimi. Tu imamo različite posljedice – neće izumrijeti štetnici koji rade probleme na usjevima, a imamo i štetnike koji neće otići na jug. To nas košta i po nekoliko milijuna kuna godišnje. Nadalje, sve će propupati ranije, a onda kada dođe bilo kakvo zahlađenje, to zna napraviti veliku štetu i onda nema dovoljno voća i povrća”, navela je Mazzocco Drvar.

Komentirala je i kako stojimo s prilagodbom u poljoprivrednom sektoru.

“Mediteran trpi 20 posto jače posljedice nego ostatak zemlje. Jednostavno postoje područja na Zemlji koja su više i manje ugrožena. Mediteran spada u te koji su jače ugroženi”, rekla je Mazzocco Drvar te dodala da im slijedi borba s dva ekstrema – duže suše i češće poplave.

Komentirala je i predviđanja znanstvenika o povratku klimatskog fenomena El Niño.

“Ovo je tek treći put da tri godine zaredom imamo La Niñu, što je suprotan efekt od El Niña, tako da je zaista vrijeme da se vratimo u drugi ekstrem – El Niño. Sljedeća godina ne pokazuje toliko jak El Niño, tek prelazimo u njega, što znači da ćemo imati vjerojatno topliju godinu od ovih dosad. Mislim da bi ona iduća, 2024. godina, mogla biti još toplija. Vrlo je izgledno da opet srušimo temperaturne rekorde, rekla je.

Gošća emisije N1 Klimatska budućnost bila je Dunja Mazzocco Drvar, ravnateljica Uprave za klimatske aktivnosti pri MINGOR-u, a govorila je o povratku fenomena El Niño i predviđanjima za iduće ljeto.

Pojasnila je na koji način su ekstremne hladnoće povezane s ljudskim utjecajem na klimu, odnosno zašto globalno zatopljenje ne znači da neće biti hladnih prodora.

“Zatopljenje je jedan globalni trend, ali naravno da su moguća lokalna zahlađenja u takvim okolnostima. Pogotovo zato što uz klimatske promjene ide ekstremizacija vremena, odnosno pojava čestih i naglih promjena vremena”, kazala je Mazzocco Drvar.

Objašnjavajući kako su ekstremi usko vezani uz klimatske promjene, Mazzocco Drvar je dodala: “Polovi i ekvator se različito zagrijavaju i zbog toga dolazi do narušavanja ravnoteže koju smo imali.”

Na pitanje je li novi klimatski trend prava zima u ožujku ili travnju, odgovorila je:

“Klima na kojoj smo bazirali većinu računanja anomalija i odnosa jako je dugo bila klima u razdoblju između 1961. i 1990. godine. To je bilo referentno razdoblje. U odnosu na ovu sadašnju klimu, vidimo zanimljiv fenomen da se najveća razlika između te dvije klime događa oko Božića, onda do kraja godine i u prvih 14 dana siječnja. Te razlike idu između 5 i 7 stupnjeva. To objašnjava i činjenicu zašto više nemamo bijelih Božića ili bijelih prosinaca”, pojasnila je Mazzocco Drvar.
