Dvije godine nakon dvostrukog Oskara za glavnu ulogu i originalni scenarij drame 'Manchester by the sea', daroviti Casey Affleck lani se vratio režiji. Odabrao je djelo 'Svjetlo mog života' koje naslovom asocira na jeftinu romantiku, no ne može biti dalje od toga. 'Light of my life' je distopijski triler mračnog ugođaja, itekako aktualan u naše vrijeme obnovljene korone.

Redatelj Affleck glumi oca udovca koji nakon pandemije koja je pokosila većinu ženske populacije lunja šumama Britanske Kolumbije i svoju kćerkicu Rag na pragu puberteta (uvjerljiva Anna Pniowsky) čuva od seksualnih predatora. Kroz dva sata trajanja Affleckova drama o preživljavanju u surovom svijetu usporenim dionicama iskušava strpljenje publike, no čekanje se isplati.

'Light of my life' je, neovisno o vanjskoj zarazi, priča o otkrhnutoj obitelji u kojoj otac preuzima ulogu jedinog zaštitnika i moralnog kompasa. Pritom iz samoobrane mora posegnuti i za nasiljem, što ga ne čini lošijim čovjekom i odgajateljem.

Trinaestogodišnja Pniowsky dokazuje talent u ulozi dvije godine mlađe, nimalo bespomoćne starmale djevojčice u obličju dječaka koja hrabri oca kad ovaj posustane.

Caseyu Afflecku, mlađem bratu i kolegi poznatijeg Bena, režija leži jednako dobro kao i gluma. Prvijenac mu je bio krimić 'Gone Baby Gone' s kojim je 2007. gostovao u Veneciji. U međuvremenu je zanatski sazrio, što se potvrđuje u 'Svjetlu...', mizantropskoj odiseji koju je, s obzirom na važnost krajolika za radnju, umjesto filma ceste uputnije nazvati filmom kanadske crnogorice.

Affleck redatelj radi sustavno, detaljist je koji pazi na logiku priče. Čak i onda kad bi događaje trebalo ubrzati, on ih razvlači, sve radi gradacije ugođaja jeze kojoj ne trebaju nikakve vanjske manifestacije u vidu zaraženih zombija, alien čudovišta i inih tričarija.

Usamljenici koji lutaju nenapučenim ili iznimno rijetko naseljenim svjetovima nisu novost u književnosti i kinematografiji. Generacije su odrastale uz knjižicu o usnulom dječaku 'Pale sam na svijetu' Jensa Sigsgaarda. Mladi prošlog desetljeća pratili su Willa Smitha, jedinog preživjelog u New Yorku nakon napada patogena u postaliptičnom hitu 'Ja sam legenda'.

I tu su, baš kao u 'Svjetlosti...' važan motiv flashbackovi koji je Affleck obogatio kroz podradnju o smrti Ragine majke koju glumi poslovično pouzdana Elizabeth Moss (Sluškinjina priča). 'Light of my life' nije ostvarenje za nestrpljive, ali jest za one s nagnućem prema art- filmu. Dvije godine nakon dvostrukog Oskara za glavnu ulogu i originalni scenarij drame 'Manchester by the sea', daroviti Casey Affleck lani se vratio režiji. Odabrao je djelo 'Svjetlo mog života' koje naslovom asocira na jeftinu romantiku, no ne može biti dalje od toga. 'Light of my life' je distopijski triler mračnog ugođaja, itekako aktualan u naše vrijeme obnovljene korone.

Redatelj Affleck glumi oca udovca koji nakon pandemije koja je pokosila većinu ženske populacije lunja šumama Britanske Kolumbije i svoju kćerkicu Rag na pragu puberteta (uvjerljiva Anna Pniowsky) čuva od seksualnih predatora. Kroz dva sata trajanja Affleckova drama o preživljavanju u surovom svijetu usporenim dionicama iskušava strpljenje publike, no čekanje se isplati.

'Light of my life' je, neovisno o vanjskoj zarazi, priča o otkrhnutoj obitelji u kojoj otac preuzima ulogu jedinog zaštitnika i moralnog kompasa. Pritom iz samoobrane mora posegnuti i za nasiljem, što ga ne čini lošijim čovjekom i odgajateljem.

Trinaestogodišnja Pniowsky dokazuje talent u ulozi dvije godine mlađe, nimalo bespomoćne starmale djevojčice u obličju dječaka koja hrabri oca kad ovaj posustane.

Caseyu Afflecku, mlađem bratu i kolegi poznatijeg Bena, režija leži jednako dobro kao i gluma. Prvijenac mu je bio krimić 'Gone Baby Gone' s kojim je 2007. gostovao u Veneciji. U međuvremenu je zanatski sazrio, što se potvrđuje u 'Svjetlu...', mizantropskoj odiseji koju je, s obzirom na važnost krajolika za radnju, umjesto filma ceste uputnije nazvati filmom kanadske crnogorice.

Affleck redatelj radi sustavno, detaljist je koji pazi na logiku priče. Čak i onda kad bi događaje trebalo ubrzati, on ih razvlači, sve radi gradacije ugođaja jeze kojoj ne trebaju nikakve vanjske manifestacije u vidu zaraženih zombija, alien čudovišta i inih tričarija.

Usamljenici koji lutaju nenapučenim ili iznimno rijetko naseljenim svjetovima nisu novost u književnosti i kinematografiji. Generacije su odrastale uz knjižicu o usnulom dječaku 'Pale sam na svijetu' Jensa Sigsgaarda. Mladi prošlog desetljeća pratili su Willa Smitha, jedinog preživjelog u New Yorku nakon napada patogena u postaliptičnom hitu 'Ja sam legenda'.

I tu su, baš kao u 'Svjetlosti...' važan motiv flashbackovi koji je Affleck obogatio kroz podradnju o smrti Ragine majke koju glumi poslovično pouzdana Elizabeth Moss (Sluškinjina priča). 'Light of my life' nije ostvarenje za nestrpljive, ali jest za one s nagnućem prema art- filmu. Dvije godine nakon dvostrukog Oskara za glavnu ulogu i originalni scenarij drame 'Manchester by the sea', daroviti Casey Affleck lani se vratio režiji. Odabrao je djelo 'Svjetlo mog života' koje naslovom asocira na jeftinu romantiku, no ne može biti dalje od toga. 'Light of my life' je distopijski triler mračnog ugođaja, itekako aktualan u naše vrijeme obnovljene korone.

Redatelj Affleck glumi oca udovca koji nakon pandemije koja je pokosila većinu ženske populacije lunja šumama Britanske Kolumbije i svoju kćerkicu Rag na pragu puberteta (uvjerljiva Anna Pniowsky) čuva od seksualnih predatora. Kroz dva sata trajanja Affleckova drama o preživljavanju u surovom svijetu usporenim dionicama iskušava strpljenje publike, no čekanje se isplati.

'Light of my life' je, neovisno o vanjskoj zarazi, priča o otkrhnutoj obitelji u kojoj otac preuzima ulogu jedinog zaštitnika i moralnog kompasa. Pritom iz samoobrane mora posegnuti i za nasiljem, što ga ne čini lošijim čovjekom i odgajateljem.

Trinaestogodišnja Pniowsky dokazuje talent u ulozi dvije godine mlađe, nimalo bespomoćne starmale djevojčice u obličju dječaka koja hrabri oca kad ovaj posustane.

Caseyu Afflecku, mlađem bratu i kolegi poznatijeg Bena, režija leži jednako dobro kao i gluma. Prvijenac mu je bio krimić 'Gone Baby Gone' s kojim je 2007. gostovao u Veneciji. U međuvremenu je zanatski sazrio, što se potvrđuje u 'Svjetlu...', mizantropskoj odiseji koju je, s obzirom na važnost krajolika za radnju, umjesto filma ceste uputnije nazvati filmom kanadske crnogorice.

Affleck redatelj radi sustavno, detaljist je koji pazi na logiku priče. Čak i onda kad bi događaje trebalo ubrzati, on ih razvlači, sve radi gradacije ugođaja jeze kojoj ne trebaju nikakve vanjske manifestacije u vidu zaraženih zombija, alien čudovišta i inih tričarija.

Usamljenici koji lutaju nenapučenim ili iznimno rijetko naseljenim svjetovima nisu novost u književnosti i kinematografiji. Generacije su odrastale uz knjižicu o usnulom dječaku 'Pale sam na svijetu' Jensa Sigsgaarda. Mladi prošlog desetljeća pratili su Willa Smitha, jedinog preživjelog u New Yorku nakon napada patogena u postaliptičnom hitu 'Ja sam legenda'.

I tu su, baš kao u 'Svjetlosti...' važan motiv flashbackovi koji je Affleck obogatio kroz podradnju o smrti Ragine majke koju glumi poslovično pouzdana Elizabeth Moss (Sluškinjina priča). 'Light of my life' nije ostvarenje za nestrpljive, ali jest za one s nagnućem prema art- filmu.
