Sasvim dovoljno da bi neuspjeh pao u zaborav, a na njegovim se zasadima uzdignula nova mutantska franšiza.

Resetiranju ovih dana svjedočimo u 'Novim mutantima', združenoj akciji stripovskog giganta Marvel Entertainment i upokojene kompanije 20th Century Studios koju je u međuvremenu preuzeo Disney. Ovaj je horor triler u pripremi bio još od 2018., no mijene na kino-tržištu, kalkulacije s datumom premijere i kasnija pandemija doveli su do višekratne odgode.

Ovog rujna na velike se ekrane konačno dokotrljao novi naraštaj društvenih marginalaca sa supermoćima iz kultne škole dr. Charlesa Xaviera. Nedozrelih mutanata ukupno je pet, svaki nosi teško breme iz prošlosti i tek otkriva kakve sve sposobnosti može (zlo)upotrijebiti.

Kvintet superheroja u sebi objedinjuje cijeli dijapazon djelovanja i životopisa. Neki su reminiscencije na starije X-men poput Wolverinea ( iz G.O.T.-a posuđena Maisie Williams kao nabožna vučica Rahne) ili Kolosa, (sestru po stažu starijeg mutanta, rusku čarobnicu prezimena Rasputin, glumi Anya Taylor-Joy).

Multietničnost se forsira kroz lik američke Indijanke iz plemena Čejena, iluzionistice Dani Moonstar i brazilskog manipulatora obnovljivim izvorima energije Roberta da Coste (Henry Zaga). Peti član je, radi ravnoteže, mlađahni bijeli Amerikanac Sam Guthrie (tumači ga Britanac Charlie Heaton), zahtjevni tinejdžer s traumom povezanom s posebnim moćima.

Iako je ovaj spinoff trebao jamčiti nastavak mutantske sage za mlađe generacije barem u još dva nastavka, svi su izgledi da će trilogija završiti na pilotu. Šteta, jer 'Novi mutanti' nisu bez potencijala. Gluma je manje-više korektna, ideja o pomlađivanju junaka, njihovoj neprilagođenosti i potrazi za identitetom svevremenski podatna, no za redatelja Johna Boonea (romantična drama 'Greška u zvijezdama') ambiciozan projekt pokazao se kao prevelik zalogaj.

Nije uspio krpice radnje zalijepiti u suvislu cjelinu, niti razraditi karaktere mladih mutanata tako da ih gledatelj pamti dulje od odjavne špice. Nastavi li se snimati ovim tempom, X-men i njihove ekstenzije mogle bi doživjeti istu sudbinu kao 'Star Wars'.

Previše odvojaka i prečesta prisutnost kod publike stvara zasićenje, nerijetko i konfuziju, što posljedično nagriza karizmu prequela. Stoga autori serijala o superjunacima moraju dvaput promisliti prije nego se odluče na nove 'izvedenice' starih serijala.

{OCMSplitter}Od potopa 'Dark Phoenixa', posljednjeg filma iz beskonačnog ciklusa X-men, prošlo je više od godinu dana. Sasvim dovoljno da bi neuspjeh pao u zaborav, a na njegovim se zasadima uzdignula nova mutantska franšiza.

Resetiranju ovih dana svjedočimo u 'Novim mutantima', združenoj akciji stripovskog giganta Marvel Entertainment i upokojene kompanije 20th Century Studios koju je u međuvremenu preuzeo Disney. Ovaj je horor triler u pripremi bio još od 2018., no mijene na kino-tržištu, kalkulacije s datumom premijere i kasnija pandemija doveli su do višekratne odgode.

Ovog rujna na velike se ekrane konačno dokotrljao novi naraštaj društvenih marginalaca sa supermoćima iz kultne škole dr. Charlesa Xaviera. Nedozrelih mutanata ukupno je pet, svaki nosi teško breme iz prošlosti i tek otkriva kakve sve sposobnosti može (zlo)upotrijebiti.

Kvintet superheroja u sebi objedinjuje cijeli dijapazon djelovanja i životopisa. Neki su reminiscencije na starije X-men poput Wolverinea ( iz G.O.T.-a posuđena Maisie Williams kao nabožna vučica Rahne) ili Kolosa, (sestru po stažu starijeg mutanta, rusku čarobnicu prezimena Rasputin, glumi Anya Taylor-Joy).

Multietničnost se forsira kroz lik američke Indijanke iz plemena Čejena, iluzionistice Dani Moonstar i brazilskog manipulatora obnovljivim izvorima energije Roberta da Coste (Henry Zaga). Peti član je, radi ravnoteže, mlađahni bijeli Amerikanac Sam Guthrie (tumači ga Britanac Charlie Heaton), zahtjevni tinejdžer s traumom povezanom s posebnim moćima.

Iako je ovaj spinoff trebao jamčiti nastavak mutantske sage za mlađe generacije barem u još dva nastavka, svi su izgledi da će trilogija završiti na pilotu. Šteta, jer 'Novi mutanti' nisu bez potencijala. Gluma je manje-više korektna, ideja o pomlađivanju junaka, njihovoj neprilagođenosti i potrazi za identitetom svevremenski podatna, no za redatelja Johna Boonea (romantična drama 'Greška u zvijezdama') ambiciozan projekt pokazao se kao prevelik zalogaj.

Nije uspio krpice radnje zalijepiti u suvislu cjelinu, niti razraditi karaktere mladih mutanata tako da ih gledatelj pamti dulje od odjavne špice. Nastavi li se snimati ovim tempom, X-men i njihove ekstenzije mogle bi doživjeti istu sudbinu kao 'Star Wars'.

Previše odvojaka i prečesta prisutnost kod publike stvara zasićenje, nerijetko i konfuziju, što posljedično nagriza karizmu prequela. Stoga autori serijala o superjunacima moraju dvaput promisliti prije nego se odluče na nove 'izvedenice' starih serijala.

Od potopa 'Dark Phoenixa', posljednjeg filma iz beskonačnog ciklusa X-men, prošlo je više od godinu dana. Sasvim dovoljno da bi neuspjeh pao u zaborav, a na njegovim se zasadima uzdignula nova mutantska franšiza.

Resetiranju ovih dana svjedočimo u 'Novim mutantima', združenoj akciji stripovskog giganta Marvel Entertainment i upokojene kompanije 20th Century Studios koju je u međuvremenu preuzeo Disney. Ovaj je horor triler u pripremi bio još od 2018., no mijene na kino-tržištu, kalkulacije s datumom premijere i kasnija pandemija doveli su do višekratne odgode.

Ovog rujna na velike se ekrane konačno dokotrljao novi naraštaj društvenih marginalaca sa supermoćima iz kultne škole dr. Charlesa Xaviera. Nedozrelih mutanata ukupno je pet, svaki nosi teško breme iz prošlosti i tek otkriva kakve sve sposobnosti može (zlo)upotrijebiti.

Kvintet superheroja u sebi objedinjuje cijeli dijapazon djelovanja i životopisa. Neki su reminiscencije na starije X-men poput Wolverinea ( iz G.O.T.-a posuđena Maisie Williams kao nabožna vučica Rahne) ili Kolosa, (sestru po stažu starijeg mutanta, rusku čarobnicu prezimena Rasputin, glumi Anya Taylor-Joy).

Multietničnost se forsira kroz lik američke Indijanke iz plemena Čejena, iluzionistice Dani Moonstar i brazilskog manipulatora obnovljivim izvorima energije Roberta da Coste (Henry Zaga). Peti član je, radi ravnoteže, mlađahni bijeli Amerikanac Sam Guthrie (tumači ga Britanac Charlie Heaton), zahtjevni tinejdžer s traumom povezanom s posebnim moćima.

Iako je ovaj spinoff trebao jamčiti nastavak mutantske sage za mlađe generacije barem u još dva nastavka, svi su izgledi da će trilogija završiti na pilotu. Šteta, jer 'Novi mutanti' nisu bez potencijala. Gluma je manje-više korektna, ideja o pomlađivanju junaka, njihovoj neprilagođenosti i potrazi za identitetom svevremenski podatna, no za redatelja Johna Boonea (romantična drama 'Greška u zvijezdama') ambiciozan projekt pokazao se kao prevelik zalogaj.

Nije uspio krpice radnje zalijepiti u suvislu cjelinu, niti razraditi karaktere mladih mutanata tako da ih gledatelj pamti dulje od odjavne špice. Nastavi li se snimati ovim tempom, X-men i njihove ekstenzije mogle bi doživjeti istu sudbinu kao 'Star Wars'.

Previše odvojaka i prečesta prisutnost kod publike stvara zasićenje, nerijetko i konfuziju, što posljedično nagriza karizmu prequela. Stoga autori serijala o superjunacima moraju dvaput promisliti prije nego se odluče na nove 'izvedenice' starih serijala.
