Na stranicama Azila Dubrovnik objavljena je nevjerojatna priča o Berti koja je bila lutalica bez vlasnika, potom je završila u dubrovačkom skloništu, ali su je sretne okolnosti odvele - ni manje ni više - nego do Otoka! 

- Bio je to jedan hladni i kišni dan, krajem prošlog studenog. Svega tjedan dana smo radili, tek smo zapravo uselili i još uvijek smo opremali azil. U šetnji je naš posavac Mili nanjušio štene u jarku. Netko je pobacao štence u okolici skloništa. Tražili smo ih, i u jednom trenutku taman kad smo izvukli jedno štene, iza naših leđa smo ugledali nju. Stajala je na udaljenosti od 5 metara i promatrala što radimo. Ogromna i impresivna, nepomično je gledala u nas. Prvo smo pomislili da je to majka, pa je kolegica odmah sjela u auto sa štencem u slučaju reakcije.

Ali reakcije nije bilo, niti su, kako se kasnije ispostavilo štenci bili njeni. Tako smo našu upoznali Bertu. Ispočetka je bila rezervirana prema ljudima, ali brzo se opustila i pokazala nam da ima karakter koji priliči njenom stasu. Nije imala čip, niti se vlasnik javio u zakonskom roku od 14 dana, pa je Berta tako postala naša. U kratkom vremenu dobila je cjepiva, testirana je na bolesti, sterilizirana je i krenuli smo s učenjem svega što pas mora znati.

Od hodanja na povodcu koje je bilo avantura, (neki će imati uspomene u vidu ožiljaka od padova) pa sve do vožnje u autu, šetnji kroz grad uz prometnu cestu, dan po dan Berta je napredovala. Berta je tako od psa koji je živio u okolici deponije i jeo smeće mjesecima, postala kućni ljubimac kojemu jedino nedostaje dom.

Upita nismo imali jer svima je "divna, ali prevelika", ali naše nade postale su stvarnost u ožujku kad su nas volonterke udruge Meadow Of Hope Dog Rescue Uk obavijestile da su Berti našle savršene ljude.

Nakon svih upitnika, razgovora, provjera, papirologije, trebali smo čekati priliku za prijevoz i napokon na praznik rada Bertu smo ispratili na putovanje u UK. Nemoguće je riječima opisati taj osjećaj tuge zbog rastanka i sreće što odlazi. Velika naša cura jučer je stigla u svoj dom. Presretni smo nje i u isto vrijeme nam nedostaje, kao i svima što su je upoznali u zadnjih pola godine koliko je bila s nama azilu. Za kraj, najveća zahvala divnim udomiteljima, ljudima toliko velikog srca, da je u njega stala i naša ogromna Berta, naveli su iz Azila.

Na stranicama Azila Dubrovnik objavljena je nevjerojatna priča o Berti koja je bila lutalica bez vlasnika, potom je završila u dubrovačkom skloništu, ali su je sretne okolnosti odvele - ni manje ni više - nego do Otoka! 

- Bio je to jedan hladni i kišni dan, krajem prošlog studenog. Svega tjedan dana smo radili, tek smo zapravo uselili i još uvijek smo opremali azil. U šetnji je naš posavac Mili nanjušio štene u jarku. Netko je pobacao štence u okolici skloništa. Tražili smo ih, i u jednom trenutku taman kad smo izvukli jedno štene, iza naših leđa smo ugledali nju. Stajala je na udaljenosti od 5 metara i promatrala što radimo. Ogromna i impresivna, nepomično je gledala u nas. Prvo smo pomislili da je to majka, pa je kolegica odmah sjela u auto sa štencem u slučaju reakcije.

Ali reakcije nije bilo, niti su, kako se kasnije ispostavilo štenci bili njeni. Tako smo našu upoznali Bertu. Ispočetka je bila rezervirana prema ljudima, ali brzo se opustila i pokazala nam da ima karakter koji priliči njenom stasu. Nije imala čip, niti se vlasnik javio u zakonskom roku od 14 dana, pa je Berta tako postala naša. U kratkom vremenu dobila je cjepiva, testirana je na bolesti, sterilizirana je i krenuli smo s učenjem svega što pas mora znati.

Od hodanja na povodcu koje je bilo avantura, (neki će imati uspomene u vidu ožiljaka od padova) pa sve do vožnje u autu, šetnji kroz grad uz prometnu cestu, dan po dan Berta je napredovala. Berta je tako od psa koji je živio u okolici deponije i jeo smeće mjesecima, postala kućni ljubimac kojemu jedino nedostaje dom.

Upita nismo imali jer svima je "divna, ali prevelika", ali naše nade postale su stvarnost u ožujku kad su nas volonterke udruge Meadow Of Hope Dog Rescue Uk obavijestile da su Berti našle savršene ljude.

Nakon svih upitnika, razgovora, provjera, papirologije, trebali smo čekati priliku za prijevoz i napokon na praznik rada Bertu smo ispratili na putovanje u UK. Nemoguće je riječima opisati taj osjećaj tuge zbog rastanka i sreće što odlazi. Velika naša cura jučer je stigla u svoj dom. Presretni smo nje i u isto vrijeme nam nedostaje, kao i svima što su je upoznali u zadnjih pola godine koliko je bila s nama azilu. Za kraj, najveća zahvala divnim udomiteljima, ljudima toliko velikog srca, da je u njega stala i naša ogromna Berta, naveli su iz Azila.
