Po prvi put u Velikoj Britaniji otkrivena je kožna bolest koju prenose mačke. Do sada ta zoonoza nije pronađena nigdje izvan Južne Amerike. No, troje Britanaca je zatražilo liječničku pomoć zbog gljivica, rana i čireva na dlanovima i rukama. Utvrđeno je kako su se svi troje zarazili od iste mačke, koja je nedavno udomljena iz Brazila, gdje je ova gljivica veoma raširena, prenosi VauMijau. 

Bolest se na ljude širi preko ugriza ili ogrebotine mačke koja je zaražena gljivicom Sporotrichosis brasiliensis. U Britaniji su za sada zaraženi majka, njena kćer i veterinar, a dobra je vijest da su se svih troje u potpunosti oporavili uz pomoć lijekova protiv gljivica. Majka i kćer u Velikoj Britaniji žive već tri godine i od tada nisu bile u Brazilu. S njima živi i devetogodišnjak, no on se nije zarazio. Te sreće nije bio veterinar, kojeg je mačka ogrebala za vrijeme pregleda na kojeg su vlasnice odvele mačku. On je nakon mjesec dana shvatio da ima čireve na srednjem prstu i lezije duž ruke, pa je otišao na pregled i utvrđena je gljivica. Slične su simptome imale i vlasnice, piše Daily Mail.

No, ono što prilično zbunjuje jest činjenica da ih je sve zarazila devet godina stara mačka koju su žene donijele se sobom kad su doselile i koja od tada do danas nije napuštala svoj novi dom. Zbog čega je do zaraze došlo baš sada, nije poznato.

Simptomi su lako prepoznatljivi: u blizini rane, odnosno, mjesta ugriza ili ogrebotine, pojavljuju se lezije. Infekcija, koja obično nije jaka, može se proširiti na oči, pluća, kosti i zglobove. Iznimno rijetko može doći u središnji živčani sustav. No, nema zabilježenih slučajeva da je infekcija prešla s čovjeka na čovjeka.

Svjetska zdravstvena organizacija upozorava da gljivične infekcije predstavljaju glavnu opasnost općem zdravlju jer zbog klimatskih promjena nemaj više problema i lako se šire i u područja koja im do sada nisu bila pogodna.

Po prvi put u Velikoj Britaniji otkrivena je kožna bolest koju prenose mačke. Do sada ta zoonoza nije pronađena nigdje izvan Južne Amerike. No, troje Britanaca je zatražilo liječničku pomoć zbog gljivica, rana i čireva na dlanovima i rukama. Utvrđeno je kako su se svi troje zarazili od iste mačke, koja je nedavno udomljena iz Brazila, gdje je ova gljivica veoma raširena, prenosi VauMijau. 

Bolest se na ljude širi preko ugriza ili ogrebotine mačke koja je zaražena gljivicom Sporotrichosis brasiliensis. U Britaniji su za sada zaraženi majka, njena kćer i veterinar, a dobra je vijest da su se svih troje u potpunosti oporavili uz pomoć lijekova protiv gljivica. Majka i kćer u Velikoj Britaniji žive već tri godine i od tada nisu bile u Brazilu. S njima živi i devetogodišnjak, no on se nije zarazio. Te sreće nije bio veterinar, kojeg je mačka ogrebala za vrijeme pregleda na kojeg su vlasnice odvele mačku. On je nakon mjesec dana shvatio da ima čireve na srednjem prstu i lezije duž ruke, pa je otišao na pregled i utvrđena je gljivica. Slične su simptome imale i vlasnice, piše Daily Mail.

No, ono što prilično zbunjuje jest činjenica da ih je sve zarazila devet godina stara mačka koju su žene donijele se sobom kad su doselile i koja od tada do danas nije napuštala svoj novi dom. Zbog čega je do zaraze došlo baš sada, nije poznato.

Simptomi su lako prepoznatljivi: u blizini rane, odnosno, mjesta ugriza ili ogrebotine, pojavljuju se lezije. Infekcija, koja obično nije jaka, može se proširiti na oči, pluća, kosti i zglobove. Iznimno rijetko može doći u središnji živčani sustav. No, nema zabilježenih slučajeva da je infekcija prešla s čovjeka na čovjeka.

Svjetska zdravstvena organizacija upozorava da gljivične infekcije predstavljaju glavnu opasnost općem zdravlju jer zbog klimatskih promjena nemaj više problema i lako se šire i u područja koja im do sada nisu bila pogodna.

Mačkoljupci, obratite pažnju: gljivična infekcija stigla je u Europu, zabilježeni su prvi slučajevi, a ovo su simptomi

Po prvi put u Velikoj Britaniji otkrivena je kožna bolest koju prenose mačke. Do sada ta zoonoza nije pronađena nigdje izvan Južne Amerike. No, troje Britanaca je zatražilo liječničku pomoć zbog gljivica, rana i čireva na dlanovima i rukama. Utvrđeno je kako su se svi troje zarazili od iste mačke, koja je nedavno udomljena iz Brazila, gdje je ova gljivica veoma raširena, prenosi VauMijau. 

Bolest se na ljude širi preko ugriza ili ogrebotine mačke koja je zaražena gljivicom Sporotrichosis brasiliensis. U Britaniji su za sada zaraženi majka, njena kćer i veterinar, a dobra je vijest da su se svih troje u potpunosti oporavili uz pomoć lijekova protiv gljivica. Majka i kćer u Velikoj Britaniji žive već tri godine i od tada nisu bile u Brazilu. S njima živi i devetogodišnjak, no on se nije zarazio. Te sreće nije bio veterinar, kojeg je mačka ogrebala za vrijeme pregleda na kojeg su vlasnice odvele mačku. On je nakon mjesec dana shvatio da ima čireve na srednjem prstu i lezije duž ruke, pa je otišao na pregled i utvrđena je gljivica. Slične su simptome imale i vlasnice, piše Daily Mail.

No, ono što prilično zbunjuje jest činjenica da ih je sve zarazila devet godina stara mačka koju su žene donijele se sobom kad su doselile i koja od tada do danas nije napuštala svoj novi dom. Zbog čega je do zaraze došlo baš sada, nije poznato.

Simptomi su lako prepoznatljivi: u blizini rane, odnosno, mjesta ugriza ili ogrebotine, pojavljuju se lezije. Infekcija, koja obično nije jaka, može se proširiti na oči, pluća, kosti i zglobove. Iznimno rijetko može doći u središnji živčani sustav. No, nema zabilježenih slučajeva da je infekcija prešla s čovjeka na čovjeka.

Svjetska zdravstvena organizacija upozorava da gljivične infekcije predstavljaju glavnu opasnost općem zdravlju jer zbog klimatskih promjena nemaj više problema i lako se šire i u područja koja im do sada nisu bila pogodna.
